Very bad... idea... please remove this update from TO, Very worst idea of score cap for standard battles...

Please remove...this update...

In this way... after capturing the limited flags or limited kills, the winner team left, and others not getting chance to win... 

Worst idea...

Gold boxes: Remember 1 in 7000 chance for every crystal earned in battle-fund.

 

The chance of a gold box is unaffected per minute of play. Hotter battle with lots of kills, lots of flags on both sides, has more battle fund and more chances for gold box. Still, 1 in 7000 for each and every crystal earned in the battle fund.

 

I've seen three gold boxes drop in less than one minute in the same battle. (Very rare, but I've seen it more than once.) This update doesn't affect that. Same random chance per crystal earned.

 

However, more time spent changing sides and changing battles and players searching for battles that won't get over so fast will mean less crystals per hour and less gold boxes proportionally on a per-player basis.

I Agree with you mate, but what pisses me off that The Gold box alert has been lunched, and I was under the drop zone of the gold box and *boom* someone has reached the 50 kills in the Deathmatch.. and there was 2 minutes left and the match will be finished.

Duhhh u.u

This is what we meant by "the chances of getting a gold box will decrease a lot."

Good one. Love it. I was just in a battle where we reached the score cap, 5 flags. As the last flag was captured the gold box siren went off, and boy you shoulda seen the chats flood and flood with people swearing and *****ing and getting mad at update.

 

Agreed. This is inevitable :(

 

In shorter battles ( 2 or 3 minutes ) , the chances of a late gold being impossible to collect increase dramatically.

As the games are shorter, many more golds WILL BE LOST to the score cap,

as golds take up to 1 minute to be collected.

 

I am not a gold hunter, as anyone who has played with me will see...

but I like the idea that golds give rewards to other styles of players

with maybe lighter hulls and not so many crystals from the win.

 

I like to guard the CP and to me, a gold drop = 4 or 5 extra CP points while everyone else rushes after the magical box

 

Because the win is worth more than 1000 crystals to my team ;)

 

 

Conclusion : gold box captures are being reduced by shorter capped games :( :(

Whats wrong with Tanki Developers? Why are they making Some noobish updates..from the past few months?

they are removing all the fun from the Game!...We all Want old Tanki Back!...And please stop making updates which limits the fun and enjoyment of the game!

I don't like this update game ends after 5 min and we don't have even a chance to fight back because enemies have brought 3 flags while we are just loading in game... :wacko:(talking about 15 min CTF battle)

We thank you all for the feedback provided, guys.

 

Our game designers are already analyzing it. Most likely, score caps will be increased for all battle modes tomorrow. DM caps might be removed completely.

 

We are also looking into the feature of having different caps for really small and really big arenas.

 

We'll keep you updated.

Thank you.  This was a great idea and badly needed but the numbers are far too extreme.  It will be nice once it is properly calibrated though.

The fund growth speed is not affected by the round length. You will just have more rounds to play. It does not affect the battle fund you get per 2 hours of playing for example.

 

Community's feedback will be analyzed, which can lead to changes in the caps. For now, I'd advise to play more and get used to it. Shorter rounds are not a bad thing. It's just different. And you can always create more 60 min battles.

 

This does not affect the chance of a gold box drop in anyway. There is a chance it will drop every time the fund is increased. The length of the round does not affect it, you just get more shorter rounds to play. Same with you share of the battle fund. You will be getting less per round, but you'll be playing more rounds. So, it stays more or less equal.

Well. I can see your point. A player that have a mean of 150 crystals after playing 15 minutes games, still get a mean 150 Crystals, after playing 3 * 5 min games that end 10 min earlier.

 

I can't care less about it. After dumbing down my weapon of choice, I do need a super human effort and a lot of luck to even get 150 Crystals in about 80% of the times.

 

This does not affect anyone. Someone said that 50 kills is getting in 8 minutes, lucky guy, often after playing for 15 minutes and believing that I have a good score and go to check, then reality hits me and I do have like 11 kills to 40 deaths. So I will have the same after playing 3 * 5 min games.

 

 

 

On the other end, for me TO can completely turn off the crystal boxes. In 3 years playing I catch the gold box about 4 or 5 times by accident, or because everybody else forgot to run looking for it. Now it only favors the heavy hulls with DA. In fact Gold boxes disrupts the game. I've already seen:

 

1) A team mate carrying the adversary flag, and drop it in front of me to run looking for the box, leaving my lousy hull being killed by an isida or twins (can't remember), after a death match were I try to secure the adversary flag but all I manage was doing half the job of the adversary by damage myself in close quarters combat.

 

2) Forgot to defend our flag.

 

3) Leaving the control point accumulating points to the adversary.

 

4) Team mates pushing me away in the very few times I had the luck to, by chance, cross the dropping point a few seconds before it fall.

 

In fact, we were better with the random 10 crystal boxes.

 

Finally, I really wish to know, if the isida bean cutting wall corners is the new way, and wish to know why was I killed by railgun even after my tank was secure behind the steel ramp sheets in RIO map, before the adversary fire.

There are a lot of problems caused by this update:

 

1. A team that dominates in the first few minutes of the game will have to just run flags for completion since the other team would leave immediately

 

2. Battles cannot be rescued since they end before someone can try to rescue it

 

3. Supplies become useless : If you start drugging in the beginning of a battle, the other team would leave anyways. And if you join in later and start using supplies, it's probably too late because the other team already is about to win. So, Tanki might make a few bucks from people trying to get pro passes but they would end up losing a lot more money because of raiders and challenge seeking players not using supplies anymore.

 

4. Short battles are just not any fun!

 

I could go on, but I think you get the point...

I have just tried the maps out on another account, 

The first game was over very quickly (too quick)

the second game on the same map nearly went the full 15 mins 

Conclusion after the first battle the teams were more even after players had left the first game.

I do not like he lack of crystals in the short game. 

 

so there are pro's and cons 

With some tweaking I think it may be a good update, but the parameters need to be higher,

but at the moment I do not like it 

 

I will give it a try on other maps

This is a very bad idea for CP maps with three or more points - battles will end way too early. Players will not have a chance to turn things around - which can be done easily with a 50 point difference (except on single point maps probably).

 

What you should stop is the ability to capture points when there are no opposing players (or maybe even few opposing players). Often a person creates a game and racks up a score before anyone has even joined the other side. They may not have gained any crystals, but they've gained a huge advantage - this needs to change.

I don't like this update.

 

I can't play a normal 15 mins game. It restarts after 5 - 8 mins and is annoying.

 

Also in the description you say "The aim of this update is to make battles with uneven teams or a clear winner end sooner."

I already played TDM games where score was 70-65 or very similar - teams weren't uneven, battle took 6 minutes...

Same with flags...

 

I have to disagree with you Semyon about the Gold Box affection.

The "don't kill or game is over before Gold Box is caught" situation is back.

With railgun/fire/freeze I can kill 4 or more tanks in a second and end the game while Gold Box is few meters above me...

 

All in all, if I want to play normal 15 mins game I have to actually create 30 mins game and I'll get to the cap in those 15 mins...

 

If it wasn't cap but difference between both team's score...

You should make a surrender option. When the enemy team is 5 flags ahead (CTF) or 50 or 100 points ahead (CP) or 50 kills ahead (TDM), it should start a surrender vote. When more than 50% of team agrees to surrender, then the game will end. When 50% of the team agrees and other 50% disagrees, game will continue and after 5 minutes will start another surrender vote. The amount of flags/points/kills can be changed. I think DM should stay like it is - only time. This is just my idea. Sorry for my English.

Nice idea, but trolls and raiders could abuse this very easily.

I think it's better to just remove this instead of searching for a good amount of flags to be captured for all different maps. It was good the way it was. There were no changes needed to the normal battles.

They doing this updates for money
This limit=Harder to get crystalls+buing pro pass+buing crystalls
No falling crystall boxes=Harder to get crystalls+buing them

New battle system=harder to get crystalls+buing them... bla bla bla
And more updates!

I remember that - thinking how ridiculous that the round was so short and that the gold box siren went off at the last moment.

 

I don't think I've seen this much hate for an update in battle chat.

 

A 5 flag limit for CTF is plain stupid. As you saw nearly every round was over in 2-3 minutes due to the drugging tankigameking and Koka-Kola taking all the flags so quickly. This caused  them to get lots of crystals while nearly everyone else received nothing.

 

After one hour and earning only 100 crystals (compared to at least 1000 per hour before this) if this update isn't removed then I'm done playing.
