Score cap for standard battles (Updated on August 28)

this update really messes up the small battles, you cant go to an island or farm without it ending in two minutes and the battle fund is like at 200 i say make biger funds or llonger battles

just played kungar cp, score was 50 to 36 and then the game ended, it was competitive, but only lasted 4 minutes.  need to base it on the number of control points that are on the map.  so kungar should  be 50 times 5 control points, 250 limit. please fix this quickly

If the battles are shorter that put Higher Battle Funds!

That would be pointless, you'd simply earn more crystals per battle, while that's not the problem.

 

to tell the truth it is bad because now battles will end faster that means lower funds

 

and that means low crystals

this suckes

Well, you'll simply have to play more battles to earn the same amount of crystals, but as the battles are shorter now, you gain as many  crystals/day as before.

 

Moreover, I repeat this: These are not the final parameters and are most likely to be changed on your demand.

On the plus side (for me anyway), this may entice players to buy a pro pass. I have held off on buying a pro pass as there are just not enough matches to choose from, and of those that are available a good percentage of them still have supplies activated. Unfortunately if this happens then one of two things may take place. It won't be long before players start to realize they don't need to spend a fortune on supplies. Good for pro battles but bad for the Tanki bank balance. Or the haven that players have within pro battles, who prefer to play without supplies, will gradually diminish as the pro matches fill with supply battles.

 

If the former is the case......cue the U turn by the Devs when they have a drop in sales..... as they did when they removed the old kits as the game balance was unfair due to the early access of equipment. That didn't last long as the kits were no good and not being purchased. Now what do we have ? Early access to equipment again because it hurt the bank balance. Yes it's a business, and bank balance will always win out over game balance. So for this reason Devs, please don't continue to say you strive to achieve near perfect game balance. It will never happen.

 

As many have already said the matches are over far too quickly now. Before this update, I have joined a battle on the losing team with fewer players many times. The battle lasted long enough for the teams to equal out and turn the score around, this won't happen now. Semyon has said that the battle funds are equal over a 2 hour play period for example, this may be the case....if you can get players to join at all when the winning team is in the lead by a good margin. It will be a scramble as to who can kill the few players on the losing team as they re-spawn. If you happen to be in the wrong place when this happens then the battle fund will certainly not be the same. Fewer chances to kill fewer players does not equal an unchanged battle fund.

 

Matches will restart more often and I've lost count of the times that a battle has restarted with the teams being unevenly balanced in numbers.I'm talking 4v1 or even more extreme in some cases. (I'm guessing players leave as the next match is created but before everyone re-spawns) This causes others to leave, or if you are lucky, wait for more to join. This won't happen because the match will be either be over before they get a chance, or players would rather join a battle which they have a chance of winning.

 

I hope this means more supply free Pro battles, but I worry where Tanki will try to claw back the cash if it does.

I don't like this update at all. Battles became way too short. It would be better if in 15 min CTF battles the battle ends when the difference is 5 flags, not when one team caps 5 flags. Once again, CTF is too short on small maps and CP is too short on large maps.

I also am not fond of caps. Either you need to double cap limit or really adjust it. The game is dynamic and players come and go from battle all the time. I have seen many time when a loosing team wins the battle, with such a small cap it does not have time to even out a score.Sometimes all it takes for one player to go and a different one to come and change the the outcome of the battle.

This game become impossible and insultuous for some players with light hulls. Now it's insultuous, impossible as well as stupid. Keep going TO. You are in the right track. Right now it can only appeal to new players or guys with too many crystals and heavy guns and heavy hulls, and lots and lots of DA, DD, Repair Kits.

Well devs, I'd say you shouldn't bother having double-limits (i.e. score caps) for battles...

When we players set a CP battle limit to 15 minutes, it's because we want the battle to end in 15 minutes, not when one of the teams gets 50 CP points

I was playing on my alt acc today, i found the update horrible. This is how tanki is trying to make us buy pro pass because now we can't even play an hour long battle without that.

You need some improvements Semyon, I believe I make better ideas than you. And when I saw that there is a new topic in this section, I was so happy that I thought that it would be the Masters of Parkour topic, but what I got was a face-palm.

You should be able to decide whether you want this or not. So for my 15 min Rio CTF battle, I can decide whether I want the 5 flag cap or not.

It is, of course a very good and obvious point.
If no one is yelling about the fact that he stick to much time in game after the "apparent" obvious final score, IT IS BECAUSE THAT DOES NOT BOTHER ANYONE. So stop try to fix things that are not broken.
 
How can we hammer that in your empty heads?
