Score cap for standard battles (Updated on August 28)

What a genius idea, lets ignore bug fixes like the bug that stops you from being able to kill players & grab crates and flags/cp's when you first join and change battle scoring and absolutely ruin the game.

 

 I've not had a battle exceed 6 minutes all day, it's PATHETIC. whoever decided these changes would be a good idea needs a swift kick to the nutz.

Every 15min battle is now 5 Flag  :mellow:  i was playing kunguer and polygon CTF 15 minutes and guess what it didn't take 5 min to finish :mellow:  and OFC after 1 match is finished ppl leave..

In 15 minutes battle i used to make like 1k score and battle used to be intense now battle end quickly and players dont stop capturing even when 1 team has less player..then the battle end again b4 even players could join :mellow:  :mellow:

This Update is NOT good for low ranks

This update is not good for any ranks, either tanki fixes it, leaves it how it was or risks losing a whole bunch of players, games are so boring now, who wants to play boring games.

yh man especially when it doesnt take 5 min to cap 5 flag  :mellow: and there is no way to take-over a battle

OK guys, this system will be adjusted tomorrow.

 

DM caps will be removed completely.

 

TDM, CTF and CP ones will be increased, up to a 100% increase.

 

 

Even 100 % increase may not be enough for small and tiny maps.

 

I just realised that there is already a system for determining the size of a map : 

 

The number of players that can join.

 

Use this number to determine the increase of flag, cp, kills cap for any given map.

 

 

IDEA:

CP rounds should end when it is impossible for the losing team to catch up.

 

Like the sets in tennis, or frames in snooker, etc, etc....

yea but that`s not good enough they should never have touched it in the first place then we would not be posting so much..

the only reason why they changed it cause there loosing and players are winning..and they tried to change missions and players spoke out about it so now they have to hurt us in our pockets books again..why don`t they get rid of servers that are no longer in use or even better yet cut back on mods ..we need mods who work with players and have the best interest for us

 

....wake up and get this game back on track ..so far all i`am seeing is nothing but  failing marks

This is bad... To me it only means I need to buy a pro battle pass, and I started to think that TO wants to remove standard battles, and make players need to spend crystals to play, so if you don't have any crystals you will need to buy it with money, so TO gets your money... :wacko:

And the change for golds to drop will be lower and lower and lower and lower and lower and lower and ..... ... ..... ... They need to double the cap limit... Or maybe make it like 20 in a 15 minute CTF mode and for really small battles like island 50 caps for 15 minutes..

Or just change the price of the pro battle passes? :rolleyes:

It should, but it wont. It will only limit the gameplay potential. It will make the grind of obtaining crystals a much longer task. When the task of saving up for equipment is already as long as it is, making it longer will result in people giving up.

 

Fortunately, the PRO pass is unaffected. Keep it that way. Now demand for that has probably increased. Thats my only plus about this. Otherwise, I see going by score as your white flag to this issue, your last resort.

I think this should be removed becuase:

*now for team battles unless a battle is evenly matched the battle will be over in no time flat.

*Gold boxes will be a thing of legend or myth because battles will be so short

*Other than daily missions it will be very hard to get crystals because the battles will just be two short.

*because of less crystal income some players will feel forced (not loyalty of donation) to buy crystals.

 

Now those are big reasons and they stand for 2 votes against it each in my opinion.

But there are a few upsides but I feel they don't come close to outweighting the downsides.

still i'll list them.

*players will now want to seek evenly matched battles that last longer instead of unfairly pwning the other team

*In games like CTF it encorages more defence

*players will play more strategicly instead of treating team games like tdms

 

all in all I don't think this update should exist

The aim of this update is to make battles with uneven teams or a clear winner end sooner. This way, the tankers involved in them won’t need to wait too long till the next round starts. This means the action should become even more intense.

 

Correction: The aim of this update is to make tankers buy the pro pass. This way, we will make tankers mad. This means many people will downvote this post. 

 

I don't have that much of an issue with it, bc the more people with pro pass the better for me, I never play these battles anyway.

it makes larger CP and TDM battles 2 minutes when they should be 15 and smaller CTF battles do the same, also since the battles r so short most players will not leave to change up the teams, so it will be the same outcome next battle.

In my opinion, this is not a good update.

For example, in CTF mode, capturing 5 flags doesn't take 15 min but around 3 mins. Result: battle fund doen't grows more than 300-500 crys and gold boxes don't have time to drop. It's the same thing for all the different modes :(

I have not seen someone get more than 150 crystals in a battle yet today. there is no such thing as gold box's anymore, no one can get crystals

Any comments/complaints about the recent update should be posted in the official topic. Even if I were to keep this topic open, it wouldn't affect the update as developers rarely read this section, in comparison to the Developers' News section.

 

My name can be added to the petition.

 

This is unbelievable.

 

 

O.K. folks. If the Developers don't read this section, then we need to go to them, or do something to get there attention.

 

This can't stand, this point cap.

 

 

I'm thinking a mass pm of all the developers

 

I'm thinking we can organize a boycott until the cap is removed.

 

Can we all meet someplace off site to talk and plan?

So, no one thought what will happen to Island, Ping-pong and Hill CTF.

 

A 15 min battle will end in 2 or 3 mins. Who will want to play these battles?

 

So, we need a pro battle pass now :P

too bad, because those who mind dont matter and those who matter dont mind ...

Players holding the flag, avoiding to capture it just to extend the game ... that's not fun.  In a 15 minutes CTF game spending more than 5 minutes just holding the flag when the score is 3-0 or 4-0 that's not fun.
