Score cap for standard battles (Updated on August 28)

Hey guys!

 

We've removed the limit for DM battles. Score caps for TDM, CTF and CP battles were increased, as requested.

 

Team Deathmatch (TDM)

  • 15 minutes: a total of 100 kills for one of the teams
  • 30 minutes: a total of 200 kills for one of the teams
  • 60 minutes: a total of 400 kills for one of the teams

Capture the Flag (CTF)

  • 15 minutes: a total of 10 captured flags for one of the teams
  • 30 minutes: a total of 20 captured flags for one of the teams
  • 60 minutes: a total of 40 captured flags for one of the teams

Control Points (CP)

  • 15 minutes: a total of 100 CP points for one of the teams
  • 30 minutes: a total of 200 CP points for one of the teams
  • 60 minutes: a total of 400 CP points for one of the teams

We'll continue monitoring the situation and making changes to the system if necessary. Let us know what you think of the new settings in comments below. Please be constructive, angry comments won't get us anywhere.

still not good enough... we can get  over 100 in  cp battles ...

all your doing is limiting our play time to less in order to  gain crystals  for tanki ..and as your doing this your ruining  the game

 

example in the past battles..sorry old posting removed new attached with higher battle cp battles in 15 min

The problem is people leaving when they realize it is hopeless. Now that they know there's a capture limit there isn't much incentive to make people stay.

 

If the focus here is on capture limits why even have time limits in the first place? It seems almost all battles now are over before the time expires.

 

Just make the battles X number of flags in length and get rid of the timer.

 

Or, the best solution of all: give us the ability to choose time, capture limit, or both - like we used to have.

 

I think that would be the best solution!

It still stinks. It ruins CP battles. They're the only battles I care about, and hardly anyone plays them as it is.

 

What happened to the thing Tanki mentioned a few months ago that you were going to make it so, in CP battles, the rate at which the leading team's score increased varied depending on how close the losing team was to their score? Now THAT sounded like a good idea. What became of it?

 

Please lose this score cap thing, at least for CP battles.

atleast now i can say cp mode can be played for the whole time limit that is of 15 30 or 60 min .... but my view for ctf mode is same the cap limit is still too short as even in medium maps like rio or noise which tankers mostly play score  goes above 10 in 15 min and round still remain an undecided match at that time ......ctf still needs changing

 

 

 

VERYMUCH UPSET ABOUT WASTAGE OF 1 DAY BY TANKI DEVS  AND ALSO GUYS I HAVE OBSERVE THEY ARE REDUCING DAILY REWARD TASK  .....SO IM NOT GETTING GOOD SUPPLIES AND CRYS

Better... but the stats HAVE to be specific to the map.   You cannot have a general sheet like this when the maps are so varied in size and style of gameplay.  I'm an indie developer myself, and I've gotten burned by this.  You'd think that a large game like this would know better...

I'M WITH HIM! REMOVE the update COMPLETELY AND IMMEDIATELY! Or add a way to toggle whether or not there can be a score cap when they're created. That would be nice because it gives people a choice to create or not create and to join or not join battles with score caps.

My experience with CP now is that it is pointless. If one team can establish a lead, the match will be over before the other team has time to reverse it. The increased limit has not helped.

 

I will be using my mission-change for anything CP. Just no point in wasting the time in CP; nothing but frustration. 50 CP points per control-point in the map per quarter-hour. Less than that makes it frustrating and futile.

 

Flags may be okay. Maybe. No time for TDM tonight. I see you removed the DM limit. Thank you!

 

I see no hope of this update helping with unbalanced, lopsided battles. If that was your intent, it does not seem to help at all.

This is wrong.

TDM is now the only good gamemode!?

CTF is stupid. "He who owns the enemy with a wasp, gains a win every time."

DM is still the one I HATE, but now it's the only other good way to battle.

CP is...okay... Not good, but OK...

 

And XP farming...

 

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHH!

 

You just made it a drag in one update.

 

Hats off to you, Tanki developers, you've show us you have a more blatant misunderstanding of your audience than the black-and-white minstrels' tour at the South African prison system.

I see no hope of this update helping with unbalanced, lopsided battles. If that was your intent, it does not seem to help at all.

We all know the one major reason why battles are out of balance, but, they will do nothing about it because it produces too much income.

Semyon, please don't make it hard for us and for you. We have already given you all the feedback needed. This is still as bad as before.

 

Let me give you an example:

 

Polygon CP 15 minutes: Caps at 100. 100 point captures need 17 minutes of continuous capture. It will never trigger. Doubling it was wrong. You should have at least gone with capping the difference not the maximum at about 40 or 50.

 

Madness CP 15 minutes: Caps at 100: It takes 17 minutes / 7 points = less than 3 minutes to cap it at 100.

 

It would look embarrassing to make 10 trials and errors before you find out that it can't be fixed easily and then take it off like you did with the early battle end system.

 

For God's sake, please remove this until you think it over thoroughly and find a good solution.

 

Please take this game seriously.

The aim of this update is to make battles with uneven teams or a clear winner end sooner. This way, the tankers involved in them won’t need to wait too long till the next round starts. This means the action should become even more intense.

 

So in a close CTF battle, with evenly skilled and numbered Tankers, a score of 10-9 stops the game.  How does that represent an uneven battle or a clear winner?  If you're going to impose caps, they should be on a score gap of <x>, not on an absolute score.

there is another thing to not do this update 

 

#1 everybody leaves when 8 th flag comes to capture the loosing team all leave the game.

 

tanki was better before now it is not fun

Symon this is still not good a 1 hour madness ends in just 10 mins .u need to have different systems for big and small maps :)

And just to be fair it works just as bad when winning too because people leave knowing that the capture limit is close to being reached:

So, it's not fun this way, either.

I guess this update is good in the above scenario. No one is going to join this battle with such a skewed score. With no opposition, you are not going to get more score as well. So, just reach the cap and start over. Your share of battle fund actually increases when people leave at this stage.

 

I have seen battles where one side is out numbered and the opposition is killing every one at respawn point itself. Why you want to play for 15 mins in such a condition to start over? But ideally, the battle should end not by limitting caps in CTF, but looking at how much onsided the fight is. You can take the parameters like rate of capture and rate of kills by both sides to decide. I mentioned both because the dominating team can avoid capturing flags and contiue destroying.

Isn't this exactly what we had before? We had a score cap too?

 

Wait, I can't post this comment, it probably breaks some rule of bringing up the past  ;) probably banned for a week just for that. Well, it's the mods jobs, so they will probably ban me soon anyway just for not being banned
