Score cap for standard battles (Updated on August 28)

I like the update. Instead of wasting time waiting for battle to end when there is no one in the enemy team , we can cap the remaining flags to distribute the fund. This update is great.

 

 

I take it that you can't afford a PRO pass, or you just can't afford to play with "pros"? :P

I just played a 15 minute CP game on RIO by myself, alone, not a single other player. It ended in a little over 4 minutes. Does anyone think 4 minutes is enough time to attract two 10 player teams and battle? I really do not understand this update.

Apart from this silly update, you are not supposed to capture anything when there is no opposition. That way you don't end the game in 4 minutes.

I really like this alternative V-Log idea!

 

However, I was looking forward to hearing your reasons why you think this update is "bad", "poor" and "I don't like it" - but you didn't explain!

Today we’ve introduced an additional way of ending standard team battles. From now on, in addition to a time limit, each of the three standard length battles will have a score cap as follows:

 

Team Deathmatch (TDM)

  • 15 minutes: a total of 100 kills for one of the teams
  • 30 minutes: a total of 200 kills for one of the teams
  • 60 minutes: a total of 400 kills for one of the teams
Capture the Flag (CTF)
  • 15 minutes: a total of 10 captured flags for one of the teams
  • 30 minutes: a total of 20 captured flags for one of the teams
  • 60 minutes: a total of 40 captured flags for one of the teams
Control Points (CP)
  • 15 minutes: a total of 100 CP points for one of the teams
  • 30 minutes: a total of 200 CP points for one of the teams
  • 60 minutes: a total of 400 CP points for one of the teams
The battle automatically ends when either the time limit or the score cap is reached. For example, a 30 minute CTF battle will end before the 30 minute time limit, if one of the two teams captures a total of 10 flags.

 

This change only affects standard team battles — PRO and DM ones remain unchanged.

 

The aim of this update is to make battles with uneven teams or a clear winner end sooner. This way, the tankers involved in them won’t need to wait too long till the next round starts. This means the action should become even more intense.

 

IMPORTANT: the current parameters are not final and can be changed based on the analysis of the game or the feedback provided.

We've removed the limit for DM battles. Score caps for TDM, CTF and CP battles were increased, as requested.

 

 

You guys should develop a sensor that senses and counts the difference between the flags of two teams. The score cap just terminates battles uselessly. Mostly while a gold box drops. Make it like if the difference is 5 flags, terminate the battle. Cmon guys! Give your smartness some work!

45 minutes is gone?

 

The CP score cap need to be adapted depending on the map.

 

Polygon CP 15 minutes = 100. There is one point. 1 minute = approximately 6 points. So 15 minutes = 90 points. Polygon CP 15 minutes will never reach 100 points.

 

Rio CP 15 minutes = 100. There are 5 points. If one team get the 5 points, it's 30 points in one minute. The battle can end in 5 minutes.

 

The score cap for Polygon should be 70. So, if we use some logic, it should be 350 for 15 minutes Rio CP, because there are 5 points.

 

Rift CP 15 minutes should be 210. And so on.

 

70 for one point in 15 minutes battle.

140 for one point in 30 minutes battle.

280 for one point in 60 minutes battle.

 

Easy patern, no?

 

Because, why put a score cap limit in Polygon CP 15 minutes that is impossible to reach?? And why put a score cap in Rio CP 15 minutes that can be reach in 5 minutes??

 

I hope I made myself clear. I see the point for a score cap if one team is way above the other team. But don't make score cap that have no sense.

It is funny that this time, my PRO pass expired about two weeks ago. I was saying when I hit 105k crystals, I'll get one. Then, I was saying when I hit 205k crystals, I'll get it. Then I was saying when I hit 305k crystals, I'll get it.

 

Now, I have 311k crystals, and I haven't gotten it! :) I don't think I'll hit 405k crystals before the sale. If it is a good sale, I'll be bankrupt again at its end.

TDM seems to long now, maybe fix CTF?

TDM was fine before you "tweaked" it.

CTF was the one you needed to add to, but not by FIVE.

Since I'm trying to avoid negativity as much as possible here, this is a fine example of why this update needs to go;

 

1. Only eight year olds who don't understand how the game works fully will enjoy it or they might not even take notice of it.

2. Everyone hates it, only five or ten percent of the ENTIRE community seems to enjoy it.

3. You are losing players by the seconds.

4. This has more backlash than Watch_Dogs...

5. It's the most logical thing to do here.

 

Obviously you couldn't care less about your community as long as you get paid at the end of the day, and this is but a small pebble dropped in the giant amorphous mass that is your Community Management, but I don't care.

Get things together, please.

Wouldn't you be there around Christmas?

 

I have all these. I need to get the Rico M3 and do upgrades. In the future, I may get Titan or Mammoth M3, but not now, not that I can get the Mammoth at my rank (without a kit).

 

In PRO battles, the substitute for drugging is Mammoth M3/M4 with M3/M4 paints. You feel similarly helpless like against druggers.

I guess it depends. It is taking me about 2-3 weeks to  increase rank at this point so I should be Gismo long before Christmas comes.

 

I'm not really sure if I'll upgrade anything else, although, I do see that Mammoth M3 works damn well in Polygon CP if you have two of them together guarding the CP. :)

 

The only other turret I might consider upgrading is Twins. Right now I only have M1 so that's going to be a big expense.

 

My main goal for upgrading to Viking would be when I use Isida. I still prefer the speed of Hornet (which I already have at M3) and that's mostly because I love to create chaos and confusion by appearing out of nowhere and attempting to melt a few tanks in the enemy base (and it's great for leaping off buildings in Rio).
