Stand Alone Flash: using received Battle Links?

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Does anyone know a workaround to use received battle links in the stand alone flash player?

example:

Clanleader share a clan training battle link via skype group.

Members that use stand alone flashplayer want to join there.. but can't make use of the link.

Is there any workaround known?

(except taking the link, post it in tanki chat, and click it then by themselfes)

thanks in advance !

I guess such a workaround can be built (in fact, I have built one before the division of Tanki into language-based Servers), and I may build one :) But as of now, it is indeed impossible to use battle links in a Standalone Flash Player - battle links use GET variables (the "showtopic=WHATEVER" in this page's URL is an example for such a variable), and those variables are encoded into the URL - but Standalone Flash Players can load only URLs of SWFs, without any variables (they are just ignored by it).

There are no ways except described in the post above.

battle links use GET variables

yep, they are translated to swf using swfobject.js wrapper.
