Pardon me for being a nub, but why not just use something like Skype?

Well many does, but skype takes much usage from CPU and it gives you PC lag (Fraps goes low)

But teamspeak is light program which is easier, and it can be used by slow PCs also

You can host your own server for free, but only with limited permissions, like 32 people can get to the server at the same time

and only 32 channels, and the server will only be available when the admin is there, that makes it hard for others to join

but you can rent one with full permissions, and it will be opened 24/7 :)

Man, you know how to make server?

Plus when you host server on your own your team speak client will increase it size, and after 1-2 weeks you'll need 5 minutes to start your PC ^^

So if you don't know anything don't talk please :)
