I don't know what you mean by the "right" now to choose one of the answers.  On one hand, of course anyone has the option to not want to display their gender.  That's why the setting will be able to be turned off in the settings.  However, if you are talking about the "right" to be any gender they want, what exactly do you mean?  Did you invent that right?  Who said that was a "right"?  Where did you discover it?  What makes you think that's a "right". I don't really care if Tanki makes a N/A option, it's fine with me, i'm not going to make a big fuss.  I generally leave others alone, they can think what they want as long as they don't bother me. I'm just sayin' :) . 

 

And plus tanki is not the site for a political, sexual, and religious discussion anyway.

Listen devs. You can make updates that will burn Tanki, You can make updates that reduce are weapons to nothing (my plan is to evacuate to Tanki X or World of Tanks if this happens btw) and you can make supplies free. But people, does it matter if the person playing this is a male or a female? You guys even said this ain't a dating site. You add this and the 20 minutes ''who is girl'' will be reduced to 0. Everyone will just spam wanna date?

Also, Tanki staff pls remind me why in a Tank game you need to know if you're killing a male or a female? Does it make you bullet proof if you know? Does it give you an advantage? I don't think so... If this idea gets added why not just fill in our real name and age while we're at it...

I think gender plays no role in the game, therefore  I don't think there should be such an option, especially because players can easily misuse it and manipulate other players.

It actually works as a charm in EN6/EN5. Once I'd gone over to my friends place and he was trolling with his alt account.

Later he gave his alt email address to some desperate kid in a 1v1 after flirting (and getting missions done) and that kid sent a nude of his :wacko:

Sometimes I really wish this game had an age limit or at least parents keep an eye on what their kids do online.

world of tanks ? Mate dont go there , if this game stop trying to milk every idea they could come up with from world of tanks , then tanki might still be fun like back in 2013 & 2014 . They're trying to hard to be like world of tanks and war thunder , im still laughing my ass out that they're bringing artillery straight in the game , clearly shows they wana be like wot . But Wot is a promising and awesome game , this game is boring af now and all we high rankers do is just stay for drama chat or xp/bp/dr

Maybe we should talk about typical colors and associations

 

 

Maybe you should check the usual associatoins that humans have with colors (https://www.google.at/search?q=colour+associations).

This is part of science and widely used in crafting logos for companies. Colors _do_ awake associations; and the things that are associated with certain colors are widely simmilar throughout people of simmilar cultures.

 

Red is more agressive then green. Black is more like death then blue. Blue is more like honor then yellow. Red and blue are more for kings then pink. And so on.

 

And guess what: the clothing and accessoirs industy uses this even more. A lot of things that do not look feminie on women (like thick gloves for skiing or snowboarding, thick winter jackets or other stuff) receives a PINK color stripe, some pink or white flower logo tiched onto it, or something else to give it a feminine touch.

So many girls like those, that this stuff is sold since years! They obviously like it.

I hardly see any woman (no matter which age) with spiderman shirts. This is no coincidence.

 

So the reason why I used the pink text was that it fits the association that I wanted to induce in the reader. The target was to write a line, that pretends to be a inmature, playfull, feminine girly. And I bet the association worked for most.

 

Why? Because it reflects their average learnings from the real life.

• You meet someone with no boobs, maculine body and you stereotype him to be a boy.

-> Usefull, Isn't it? I am pretty happy, that we received that gift, because it's better to stereotype in advance, then to find out the truth much later in the eavening ;)

 

But it is only "good" if it is used as a hint.. to grasp a first idea whom you face.

If someone starts to believe his stereotypes are valid all the time, and belives those more instead of looking into the person infront of him.. he has mastered the bad art of stereotyping. Also if someone crafts his stereotypes based on single experiences (instead based on many experiences) he might be mislead.

 

=> So stereotypes are usefull if they are based on a valid sized experience pool; but still then they do not tell you the complete truth about that person -he/her might be actually quite different.

btw, I think the information if someone is a girl or a boy should NOT be displayed during "in-battle" scenarios

 

 

So please lets have

- a clear statistics screen or the detailed R-View

- no symbols next to tanks names on the battlefield

- same for battle chat (lower left corner) and kill log (upper right corner).

and

- do not display it in the lobby-view of a battle, where you see the teams and the names of tankers in each team

 

 

It will just destroy the battles, is some guys wanna start flirting around.. or show-off infront of girls

 

 

Please place them in the lobby chats only; profile maybe (or skip them at all.. I see less and less use to it to be honestly :p)
