          This could be done yeah but honestly I don't know how much is this gonna help the game since Tanki has way too many other important problems to fix. If you really care enough for a player you can find out if is a lady or a gentleman from that person not from an icon and people can display any info in their profile if is allowed, since no way to verify it and besides, we all have the right to our own privacy. On the other hand, just reminded the premium icon was recently removed from being displayed in-game, don't really think we will see such option to have gender displayed, at least not this century. Then other problems would generate since gender minorities will want their own icons, etc. 

I think it would be an easy update. And it should only be an option for players to show their gender in some way.

 

I think after the default the options could be two icons.

Jokes aside, this "Planned" item hasn't been added to the game. What makes us think anything else "planned" is going to be in tanki besides the hyped contont put in the V-LOG to keep League of Legends players happy?

"Devs do change their mind, so a previously planned feature may not be implemented"- @Maf. I don't think a changed happened, its just that such a feature is not such a pressing issue, and will get pushed off indefinitely.

"Planned" is the next step from "Valid", meaning that developers officially recognised the idea and said they want to implement it in the future. Unfortunately it's often still far from actual work being done to implement it, or, in some cases, development of the feature was started and then cancelled or postponed for whatever reason. In case of this idea, I'm afraid it won't be happening despite what devs said about it in the past (which was years ago and their statement is no longer applicable).

Besides, identifying gender of other player isn't an important aspect in an online game, especially since we actively discourage using Tanki as a dating site.

Moreover, I'm pretty sure this old idea is still from the days when there was a separate Russian site dedicated to ideas at feedback.tankionline.com (it used the same platform as the Help site), and for a while one of the developers spent some time browsing players' ideas and actually changing some threads' statuses to "planned". I used that as an official source and marked similar ideas in this section "planned", even though in reality those ideas had little chance of being implemented.
