Bad vs Good Karma? What !?!?!?!?! there is a difference...

what is considered good

my karma is horrifying if anyone wants to know at least 100 things in it :X

also please give an example of how long someone should be unbanned for if they were to apply to a helpers postion.. it is nice for others to know and something for me  show other  players if they are thinking of applying to be mod

I don't know the exact numbers that administrator use to determine if the karma is "bad" or "good" and I'm not sure if those numbers even exist. I'm pretty sure that applications are approved/rejected based on multiple reasons. So for example a person with zero bans may not be accepted for candidacy because their communications skills are too poor or their attitude towards other players isn't as polite as it needs to be, while a player with a few bans in their history may still be accepted if they have extremely good knowledge of the game and are great at explaining things and being patient when having to deal with a flood of silly questions.

 

You, on the other hand, are extremely unlikely to get a staff job. A few bans are OK and your karma is usually considered "clean" if you didn't get any major (1 hour and more) bans for the past 6 months, however having more than 100 violations in your history will most definitely result in a rejection of your application, because it shows that you refuse to change your attitude towards the official rules and keep breaking them.

 

Good karma is zero bans. Trust me - for a normal, mature person it's not that hard to achieve.

lol but seriously people ask me this in the chat all the time and i keep telling them i am not a staff person but they continue asking me -.-

so  i rather have all this information so that i can get them to stop complaining to me

Discussing your ban history is not allowed and, also, it is not the only thing that Admins control when checking your applications.

There are no reasons to discuss which is a good and which is a bad karma since, when and if you apply for a position, you will understand the difference.

At last, the period that passed since you have been unbanned doesn't matter that much, since it all depends on the violations you commited and the amount of them.
