Did anybody notice that the talk about keeping the Flash version was pure baloney?

The whole idea of introducing the Unity version was that Flash has limitations, issues, and stopped growing, etc. So, if they keep the Flash version around, it will remain as it is. They already can't keep the Flash version going smoothly. Someone can tell me they will do better when they spread themselves thin?

I think after the Unity version is laughed by a few months, they will say that the interest in the Flash version diminished so they are shutting it down, regardless of the interest going up and down.

I am sorry that I can no longer trust what they say. It is because of them, not because of me.

I wondered that as well. They have to have a small development team (I'm guessing 10 or so people) so splitting them to maintain two versions of the game makes no sense at all from a personnel, labor, or cost perspective. Either they have to hire more people, or, put most of the effort on one version while letting the other one die off.

TO said about a year ago that a full transfer of accounts from Flash to Unity can be done, but only once.

Now a year later, when we keep asking just to make sure if we can get a full transfer, they never give us a straight and proper answer.

I have a bad feeling about this...

TO may be a little on the incompetent side, but they are not stupid.

They know that, if there is no account transfer, there is no star ladder or any other tournaments unless they want to do it at the recruit level.

Flash applications are going to end, one way or the other. Regardless of Unity Tanki. Maybe some issues are not solvable through flash. Maybe flash is good for a small size - plain graphics game, but as Tanki grows and as time passes and new ideas are implemented in the game industry, flash becomes obsolete.

The problem for Alternativa is how to make a complete transfer without losing neither players, nor money. Especially when a new kind of economy and in game interactions are needed, because we have seen where have the old ones taken us...

They have to open it for open testing. They can't just spring it on us all of a sudden even if they allow us to transfer our accounts.

I am sure the first few months will be rough no matter what they do. They better be careful and less egotistic.

I am not holding my breath for any improvements though. I just hope no disasters happen. :)

But didn't they just end all partnerships regarding eSports?

first of all, both the new tanki, and the old one are separate games. When the new tanki releases,  the old tanki will stay, and new the one will be a downloadable client. So don't worry about you losing your account it will be perfectly safe.

Unity Tanki: Just more of the same awful game play but with prettier graphics. It won't stop the mults and sabateurs.

In this round my team BLOCKED me on 6 different occasions from trying to get back with the blue flag, and, blocked a red team member from getting the gold box (thus allowing the blue team to get it).
