New Updated Rules - Question About The Point of Sabotage

Recommended Posts

In the newly updated rules, it makes a point about sabotage where a teamplayer acts as a hindrance to the team to give the other team the advantage. A while back I video recorded and reported someone in a video for forcefully pushing me off the bounds of the map to my death, not once, but twice. I submitted this video for report and I was told they could do nothing about it. A lot of us play this game because we don't have high-end computers to play more advanced ones. It was a struggle just recording that one minute showing the sabotager while still being able to play somewhat to show what he was doing. If a video of a person knocking down a teammate to his death out-of-bounds twice is not enough to take action against them, then what is? Do you need the entire match recorded? What's the point of the sabotage rule if mods are just gonna ignore any screenshots/video proof of it anyway?

2.1.5. Sabotage — Any acts or omissions aimed at creating obstructions for the team where the User is a member, including in CTF, TDM and CP modes, fighting against the team of which you are a member (intentional selection of weak equipment, frequent pauses, inactivity or intentional failure to comply with map’s or game mode’s requirements, imitation of issues with internet connection), damaging/destroying an ally’s tank, fighting in the interest of the opponent’s team (conspiracy);

It's very difficult to provide 100% proof of sabotage and other game violations. If getting someone banned for sabotage was as easy as recording a one minute video of them pushing you twice, then we could end up with countless cases of innocent players getting banned, because they accidentally happened to push someone. We are aware that the system of processing game violations has to be improved, but unfortunately it cannot be improved at the moment. To avoid giving false bans the proof needs to be around 5 minutes long with lots of examples of the player in it sabotaging the team.

And during that 5 minute the team will have another mult as most of us don't have a monster pc. And even after, most likely nothing will happen. Because mods don't ban people because if are not 101% sure about it. So I can mult as much as I want, then I will blame my girlfriend or dog, and it's all done.

Game violations system is totally useless, I have 2 proofs of someone saying "this is not my acc" "My friend gave me access so I can rank up" And guess the answer? "Your proof is not sufficient to take action" Then what do you expect? A voice recording from the owner telling password to his friend? Can I say I'm a hacker and i hacked 1517917421 crystals with a software?

Does that mean we need 5 minutes of someone using Twins on us continually to consider that person for a ban?

Yes, sometimes lag causes tanks to crash/drive/interfere with each other. I've accidentally flipped someone or pushed them off in Rio because of lag.

But if someone is following you around with Twins continually shooting only at you there can be no other excuse for that other than to it be intentional.

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. The video I posted in question there was absolutely zero strategic reasons on why he would of pushed me out of bounds to my death twice. I wasn't blocking any paths. It wasn't lag, as he took his time and positioned his tank carefully to push me out of bounds when he could of easily gone around me. If that isn't an offense, I don't even know why there's a sabotage rule against it in the first place if you need such a tremendous amount of proof for there to be anything done about it.

A lot of these offenses, the mods say there isn't sufficient evidence because they need more chat logs or more video/screenshot proof, but neglect the fact that the PRIMARY ACTIONS of the offender (the reason we're taking video/screenshots in the first place) have no strategic advantage for the team. That by definition is sabotage. I wish an admin would chime in. I just want to know if the requirements for proof of game sabotagers will also be updated a long with the new official rules.
