Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is an English word that refers to a lung disease that is otherwise known as silicosis. It is the longest word in the English language published in a dictionary, the Oxford English Dictionary.

In science literature, the chemical name of 'titin' (also known as 'connectin') is the largest word on earth. It has 189,819 letters and it takes 3 hours to pronounce it.

Other very long word:

'floccinaucinihilipilification'.

It means 'the action or habit of estimating something as worthless'.

Can you please get a mod to edit the title?

Its actually very very long for the forums...

You can better put it in your first post...

Lets not forget - Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia. The fear of long words!  :D

Somebody was just having a laugh when they made that word. Fear of long words...

Another long word (since we have all the "hard" ones out of the way) let's get a short one.

Antidisestablishmentarianism.

And a long one:

Titin

Wait what? Titin? Now just wait one second and let me explain. Methionylthreonylthreonylglutaminylarginyl...isoleucine is a the chemical name of titin, the largest known protein. The chemical name is stupidly long, at 189,819 letters long. Admittedly, it is not in the dictionary, and is a disputed word, but yeah.
