We have the same thoughts. :) We don't have proof whether Semyon is right or just being greedy.

I'm feeling conflicted about the whole thing: whether to lower expectations or not.

None of their claims make any sense. Their explanations seem to be full of lies.

They claim they gave away 4 BILLION crystals during the Star Ladder celebration.

Now they are claiming that another 10% on a once-per-year sale is the difference between survival and bankruptcy?

They gave away BILLIONS of crystals and somehow taking them back will hurt the Tanki economy?

Jeesh. Worse than used car salesmen.

LOL no one is being greedy and no one is going broke.

The only reason you are unhappy is because we gave too many sales last year. Naturally, you guys got used to them and now think that anything below 50% off is not a good sale.

This will be fixed with time though, the only thing it takes is time. Consider this a visit to a rehab. A rehab for 50% off addicts. :D

Seriously though, sales are not everything. We'll be looking more into the side of doing some all-new gameplay experiences for events (new battle modes and stuff like that). Stay tuned :)

Guys, this is very disappointing, seriously.

Please understand that we can't have 50% sales all the time. Actually, I think we are one of the few games who ever has 50% sales, most just don't do that.

Why? Because it affects the game's economy SO MUCH.

If Tanki's economy gets ruined, the whole game will be ruined. There won't be 50%, 40%, 25% or any sales. There won't be the game at all.

I know that the last year was full of sales, but it actually affected the game in a pretty negative way. Please understand, that the game needs to function steadily to keep living and growing, and giving you fun and enjoyment.

If we continued last year's policy, I don't know where Tanki would be now. Probably it wouldn't exist.

So yes, it's a 2-sided thing. You love sales, but big sales are dangerous. That's why we limited it to 40%, as a perfect balance between fun for players and balance for the game. Unfortunately, many of you guys didn't understand that.

What I ask you to do is to try to understand that it's a lot more complicated then it looks. It about constant balance. And 40% is better than no sale or 25% off.

I hope some of you are grateful for the celebrations. This would really give us a boost to keep working for you.

Cheers.

You have a point though.

Holy Ravioli!

The post got +13 on the German Forum and +11 on the Brazilian Forum!

The Chinese don't seem to have it. They have "The Game" going on for some reason.

Did you know that to play Tanki in China you have to give them your national identity card number?

(I found one online with a Chinese name so I used it to register)

Also how strange - people there use numbers for their player names. It feels so impersonal.

(Sorry, off topic, but there is no "Tanker's Day" in the Chinese Tanki).

We'll be looking more into the side of doing some all-new gameplay experiences for events (new battle modes and stuff like that). Stay tuned :)

I remember that being said at the start of 2014, along with a new way of earning crystals....

How long does it take? Tell us some ideas or anything?

I remember a Deve once talking about a "Sport" mode. Has anything like that come up?

Nothing about Sport mode for now. Same about gameplay changes, it's being discussed now.

We'll be coming up with things like random gold box for April Fool, but a lot more complex.

New mechanics, totally new maps, increased battle funds on specific arenas, unique daily missions for holidays, thematic achievements. Maybe even new game modes exclusively for New Year or Tanki's B-Day.

These are all ideas that we are collecting. Once we have a pool, we'll be checking which of them are possible.

You know - there are more creative ways the sales could be handled.

For example - 50% off one item only - 2nd and subsequent items at a lower discount.

10% for players at low ranks isn't much of a difference because M1 or M2 isn't a huge expense - but when considering the higher cost of things at high ranks it really is a much bigger impact on those players.

Maybe a sliding scale - discounts based on ranks.

Just some ideas that might have made this better. :)

How long dose it take tanki to do an update

It all depends, if it is a bad update, it only takes a week

The incresed funds on rare maps is very much needed ASAP, there is like 5 played maps in the whole game! I bet half of Tanki doesn't know what Novel is, was a brilliant map.

Random Gold seems cool, maybe no less than 500 crys? Otherwise its not really beneficial.

Thats both good and bad. Like making them unlock earlier?

Also I might add: happy customers are spending customers.

Nothing gets a customer to spend more in your store than taking care of them well.

I would imagine quite a few players were willing to buy crystals based on the 50% sale.

I would also imagine quite a few of those won't be willing to do so now.

In my opinion (and based on my business experience) 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

Tanki needs people spending real money on crystals to survive - this is not in dispute - but - do you think the lower sale percentage is going to make you more money than offering 50% off and encouraging more people to spend? Are more people now going to buy crystals at 40% off than at 50% off? It's just not logical.
