After a few years Tanki Sales will be like "There will be a whooping 1% off whole garage!" xD

Guys, this is very disappointing, seriously.

 

Please understand that we can't have 50% sales all the time. Actually, I think we are one of the few games who ever has 50% sales, most just don't do that.

 

Why? Because it affects the game's economy SO MUCH.

 

If Tanki's economy gets ruined, the whole game will be ruined. There won't be 50%, 40%, 25% or any sales. There won't be the game at all.

 

I know that the last year was full of sales, but it actually affected the game in a pretty negative way. Please understand, that the game needs to function steadily to keep living and growing, and giving you fun and enjoyment.

 

If we continued last year's policy, I don't know where Tanki would be now. Probably it wouldn't exist.

 

So yes, it's a 2-sided thing. You love sales, but big sales are dangerous. That's why we limited it to 40%, as a perfect balance between fun for players and balance for the game. Unfortunately, many of you guys didn't understand that.

 

What I ask you to do is to try to understand that it's a lot more complicated then it looks. It about constant balance. And 40% is better than no sale or 25% off.

 

I hope some of you are grateful for the celebrations. This would really give us a boost to keep working for you.

The only reason you are unhappy is because we gave too many sales last year. Naturally, you guys got used to them and now think that anything below 50% off is not a good sale.

 

This will be fixed with time though, the only thing it takes is time. Consider this a visit to a rehab. A rehab for 50% off addicts. :D

 

Seriously though, sales are not everything. We'll be looking more into the side of doing some all-new gameplay experiences for events (new battle modes and stuff like that). Stay tuned :)

 

 

Nothing about Sport mode for now. Same about gameplay changes, it's being discussed now.

 

We'll be coming up with things like random gold box for April Fool, but a lot more complex.

 

New mechanics, totally new maps, increased battle funds on specific arenas, unique daily missions for holidays, thematic achievements. Maybe even new game modes exclusively for New Year or Tanki's B-Day. 

 

These are all ideas that we are collecting. Once we have a pool, we'll be checking which of them are possible.

First of all, thank you for paying attention to this issue, you have a good point...

When I first saw this topic and the plans for the Celebrations, I quickly downvoted it, as of most players ...

But after a while some players and moderators convicend me that i'm wrong, and 40% is indeed a good discount, affecting the game's balance a little bit less, and giving a little bit less of excitement to the game, but still lots of fun now :)

What I don't get is - Why didn't you make a micro-upgrades sale aswell? Could be the same value has the "normal" sale, but instead you decided not to do it...Why? What are "garage-fulled" generalissimos gonna benefit from this sale?

Maybe Tanki should consider to inform it's players (customers) some time in advance about such decisions. Especially if you consider the age group of msot of your players.

You could just make a statement, that from now on the big sales are 35% and the small ones 20%.. (or whatever you feel is apropriate). If then a sales comes close and you see that you could give away more.. do so.

If you want to give a sales in between on an extraordinary occasion, you have the potential to do so.

 

But the way you act now is busting expectations.

Imagin a kid has birthday and you bring only half a birthday cake. Then you tell him _afterwards_ "Because it effects the econnomy".

It would be no issue to bring a smaller cake if you tell some days in advance.. to adjust the expectations. But as Tanki acts at the moment, it must feel real bad to lots of those kids that invest much time here and dream of M3s..

I see the point Semyon, and 40% is a great discount - it was a bit of a disappointment seeing 40% instead of 50% but we've been spoiled lately with the increased daily mission rewards and x5 battle fund so I get it.

 

However, and most importantly, and as you're probably aware of, some parts of the game still need extra work & attention BEFORE focusing on new game modes, XT's etc.

 

They are:

• The recent battle score cap
• Mults, hackers, laggers

At the end of the day, we still have to accept the administration's decisions: good or bad. Either we choose to embrace them or leave them. Sales are always 'secret' and unknown. It's a tactic to keep customers in anticipation before sales.

 

There's no point arguing what it could have been probably.

If You sell vodka to people or cigarets, they become addict,

than this is theirs problem they are adicted?

 

You have to take under consider that You are specialy building stable consuming system builded on addiction mind to a produkt. This kind of user must react emotionaly for any atak on his addiction, even from vodka drag seller. So you became a victum of your own politic of making people addict from this kind of entertainment.

 

You are just taking fruits, benefit of a system which do not create independent emotional system, connected with identyfication with equipment. I got this tank - I am like this. THats benefit. Too much attachment to EGO.

 

On the other hand You specialy build ALL GARAGE opsesion, now You got it in another dark side. You are a obsticle, on the way to have all garage, You became the first enemy of internal EGO what WANT IT ALL.

You must be hated as much as possible, becouse You destroy the vision of having all.

Hey Semyon if you think 40% is a good sale for us. Its not good nor bad its just normal. But this is my 1st sale i've got my crystals from 13 to 45207 just for m2 hornet and a good paint. Now it seems that i can only buy m2 hornet. You also ruined our daily missions. If the daily missions were the same, Than I would've had no problem with 40% discount.
