Hey Semyon if you think 40% is a good sale for us. Its not good nor bad its just normal. But this is my 1st sale i've got my crystals from 13 to 45207 just for m2 hornet and a good paint. Now it seems that i can only buy m2 hornet. You also ruined our daily missions. If the daily missions were the same, Than I would've had no problem with 40% discount. 

I agree with you on the daily missions. Used to be 5000 but now its only 400-2000 crystals...

Please understand that we can't have 50% sales all the time. Actually, I think we are one of the few games who ever has 50% sales, most just don't do that.

In other games though, sales aren't that necessary. Here most of the M3s cost 200-250k and the best paints cost 200-300k. If sales didn't exist, we would have to save crystals for a couple of months to get an item. In other games, where sales are like 25%, equipment is more affordable and you don't have to save for a long time to buy something.

A fully upgraded tank costs about $700. Imagine trying to play this game without sales.

If you don't buy then it takes about 2,000 hours of playing to get it for free. 3 hours per day = 2 years of playing every day.

New mechanics, totally new maps, increased battle funds on specific arenas, unique daily missions for holidays, thematic achievements. Maybe even new game modes exclusively for New Year or Tanki's B-Day. 

 

These are all ideas that we are collecting. Once we have a pool, we'll be checking which of them are possible.

See, this is what the devs really do - work for the progress of the game. If they were to just sit around and give discounts - well, Semyon said it himself - the game wouldn't be around.

 

I see many people have valid points, and I'd just like to say - if it's not this time, it'll be the next. When Semyon closes a door, he opens a window :lol: .

 

Now, I directly speak to those guys going Off-Topic : please don't bother now you can't speak anything worthwhile. All you wanted to do was vent your frustration on the game (I can totally understand that, btw) but now, can we stick to berating Tanki for the 40% sale :P (Or thanking them?) instead of criticizing them for 'noob updates'?

 

And stop threatening to 'quit Tanki'. If you want to, feel free. Just don't say things like 'Tanki Online will be unplayable'. It's upto the players to decide whether Tanki is worth playing or not, and we play the game for the experience (as Semyon said, new stuff! :D ) and not for crystals.

P.S: Keep in mind that other similar online games, have sales/events etc almost every weekend. I understand that the same can't happen in Tanki, because it is not as complex as a game, but still you could make at least more frequent sales...just a tad would be ok i guess.

Tanki made these people like this because because in 2013 or 2014 there was a sale practically every friday. 50%'s were not rare either, people got used to this and since Tanki has cut back the amount of sales and the amount of % these players start to complain. If Tanki would've sticked to the discount schematic they used in 2011-2012 there would be a lot less people complaining here.

 

Same goes for Daily Missions, when they first released it, the rewards were huge. Pretty much everyone was happy and excited, till they nerfed the rewards with 50% (or even more). It made sense that people started to complain. If they released Daily Missions with the 50% nerf in rewards right from the start a lot less people would've complained. 

 

Tanki is making people act like this. I don't know why they do that but it doesn't look very smart to me. You can't really blame the players for it.

 

I remember buying Railgun M3 on my main at a 65% discount, that's just insane! If people get used to these kind of sales and suddenly they reduce the amount of sales and the amount of %, it makes sense that people start to complain.

I actually agree with you, and to be honest when they started doing that I was  :blink: stunned by that move cause I knew there would be no going back to smaller % for the players, did express those concerns back then, and here we are now.

1. The only people who are defending the lack of items/areas on sales are moderators. 
    
2. If you can give me a logical reason as to why it has been bumped down by 10%, I will eat all 500 people + who down voted this topics hats.

   Why? Because it affects the game's economy SO MUCH.

    

   If Tanki's economy gets ruined, the whole game will be ruined. There won't be 50%, 40%, 25% or any sales. There won't be the game at all.

    

   I know that the last year was full of sales, but it actually affected the game in a pretty negative way. Please understand, that the game needs to function steadily to keep living and growing, and giving you fun and enjoyment.

    

   If we continued last year's policy, I don't know where Tanki would be now. Probably it wouldn't exist.

    

   So yes, it's a 2-sided thing. You love sales, but big sales are dangerous. That's why we limited it to 40%, as a perfect balance between fun for players and balance for the game. Unfortunately, many of you guys didn't understand that.

    

   What I ask you to do is to try to understand that it's a lot more complicated then it looks. It about constant balance. And 40% is better than no sale or 25% off.

Which begs the question How much do you care about Tanki?  How much do all those who down-voted an epic 40% sales (which you practically NEVER GET IN OTHER GAMES) care about Tanki?  How much do the ISP and server hosting companies care about Tanki?  How much do the governments and tax collection offices care about Tanki?  How much do the payment facilitators/intermediaries care about Tanki?  And how much do all of us care about the Tanki devs and their family?

At the end of the day, however much @FederalBureauFBI dreams about it, there is no free sandwich!  Someone somewhere has to pay the bills.  Despite that you all get a free game where spending is optional, not a requirement.  Which means you can spend hours playing it with your friends and not spend a penny on it, basically freeloading and no one's gonna stop you or lower you for doing so, they're still happy having you have fun around here.  

But going off to criticise a minor 10% or 40% figure off what's already free, you guys seriously need to do the maths for yourself and start opening your eyes to reality a little.  

And if crystals is what you're desperate for, know that every week I see players get huge sums by just being clever!  And I'm talking about normal regular players, not the no-lifers.

You should worry more about bringing esports back... I miss starladder seasons already and knowing that they are not coming back any time soon is quite disappointing.

Hey Hi :)  There's some rather exciting things about that, and was just talking to semyon about that this week and get this, the stuff I personally have been desperately asking to get in this game when I was a clan player, then a clan leader, then an eSports mod, a commentator and lately an eSports Admin, looks like finally they'll come here with devs blessings.  Its been really super hard to make stuff happen without dev inputs, even sub-contracting eSports to an external company had so many bumps in the road, a lot of them partly due to lack of inputs in this particular field from technical developing side, but now we finally will have more from them on that front.

 

However, don't think these changes will happen overnight, they won't as there's a WHOLE infrastructure to build FROM SCRATCH.  But, the many preliminaries on that front has been very fruitful in the past few weeks and I look forward to this particular front getting the real boost it deserved for years

Oye matey Hi :D  let me bring you up to speed in case you haven't been following :)  Its tanki, and the love MU sales for some reason even I do not know about.  So don't despair, I too have a Titan Latte waiting to become full beast and I am damn_sure my patience will be rewarded :D

You!!!!, you want sales every week? try League Of Legends the most highly played and paid game in the world.You will know the true meaning of excitement,every week comes awesome events,updates and discounts and you will also learn how to behave with their players making both sides satisfied.It is only possible for Tanki to make an arrogant person like you a stuff, try in Lol or dota2 or Coc they wont even let you work for free. hahahaha xD

LOL no one is being greedy and no one is going broke.

 

The only reason you are unhappy is because we gave too many sales last year. Naturally, you guys got used to them and now think that anything below 50% off is not a good sale.

 

This will be fixed with time though, the only thing it takes is time. Consider this a visit to a rehab. A rehab for 50% off addicts. :D

 

Seriously though, sales are not everything. We'll be looking more into the side of doing some all-new gameplay experiences for events (new battle modes and stuff like that). Stay tuned :)

I find that im playing more Agar.io than this. I actually play this like once a month for about an hour. We played this game because we liked how it was before all the updates, but you keep taking away all the things that made this game good. Tanki needs to go to rehab.....needs to be great again. I dont see much hope tho :( The 10% isnt the big thing here, its the fact that Tanki is changing from the fun game we knew into a boring game like all the others

I know you will all yell at me, but I played several other games and let me tell you, having big sales( twice a year, New Years and May) is a good deal. Many games are really greedy and want you always to spend money in order to get anywhere in them. Was i hoping for 50%, sure thing, i will buy less stuff this time around.  I am glad for 40%, also wanted sales on MU, will wait. I really think that devs in this game are not greedy people and understand that it should be not only about money, but fun. I am happy with this game and even score cap is a good thing now that i am use to it. So really I am thankful and glad that mods and admins make this game enjoyable, less hackers and cheaters, less foul language ( morons are everywhere, nothing can do with those).
