Sorry Semyon, I know after long months we all hope for 50% sales and saw 40% for Tanker Men day wasn't good, and all this hate comments toward you. I know I downvote this page too, but I did realise it's not your fault, it's not developers fault either in fact, it's nobody fault. 

If I started this topic in detail it will be end up being our selfishness, anyway Sorry from me :)

How about you stop making useless updates? Wont there be left over money for bigger sales then? Also, it seems like most wanted the sales. So, why not chuck many of the other things and have the sale increased? Personally, I don't have time for the golds, and don't want to buy crystals. However, I did have a plan mostly set for buying equipment, but it looks like i'll have to wait until a 50% since this year there needed to be "balance."

I know quite a bit about capitalism.

 

True story. A long time ago I managed a location for a national US pizza chain. The owner had a $5.99 carryout and he decided to do away with it because he wanted people to get deliveries instead. I told him it was a major mistake - but he failed to listen. His thinking was that if he got rid of that and went to the regular price he would double his money AND increase delivery sales (since $5.99 was 50% the price of a delivered pie). When he got rid of the $5.99 carryout then sales tanked (no pun intended) and there was no increases in delivery sales. People were angry. Carryout sales plummeted from $2000 per week to less than $100.

 

Now, a large 1 topping pizza cost $1.25 to produce (food and labor included). So, for him, earning $4.74 wasn't good enough - he wanted more. As a result he ended up getting nothing. He lost money and made customers angry. It took a long time to recover carryout sales after that (I finally convinced him to return back to the original $5.99 price).

 

Here's "capitalism" for you: $4.74 in your pocket is better than $0 in your pocket.

 

In other words: if people are angry with a 40% discount then Tanki earns NOTHING. $0. You don't pay the bills by pissing people off and subsequently causing them to put their wallets away.

 

At 50% off people are happy and probably will spend real money to buy crystals. Something of something is better than all of nothing.

 

That's capitalism.

let me help you understand the true meaning of capitalism because you really don't get it.

Best example at sports games:

 

Pack of 24 waters~ rougly 3 dollars

1 Water sold at game for~ 3 dollars

Also the pack of 24 waters is at a store price what if they get it directly from the company it is probably 2 dollars

 

so really they sell 1 water and get their money back for that 24 pack plus some profit already

24*3= $72

so they have made 36 times the profit........

This is called modern day capitalism^

My post was a personal opinion, somewhat based on prior events. Honestly they could have done, or could do, what I suggested there. I mean, I get they were trying to do a bit of everything while not going "broke," but why not in that case then, focus on one thing, such as the sale. And then some other time, focus on golds/funds. Get it? This way more people will get what they want, instead of just a smaller portion of each.

Besides you are proving my point - it is much easier to get people to spend smaller sums of money than larger ones.

The tanks at high ranks here are $700. In other online games tanks cost $50. Who do you think makes more sales and more profits?

Why the outrage over 40%? Yes, I was disappointed when I saw that the discount was *only* 40%, but hey, 40% is better than nothing right? Maybe we should be thankful for what we have and not what we don''t have. Many free-to play games do not have major sales in in-game equipment, or at least the ones I've played haven't. The developers of the game didn't have to give us a discount, but they did. Instead of being ungrateful for what they've given us, we should be glad we got anything at all. If we're gonna act like spoiled little kids, I think that all we deserve is 40%.

Only idiots think all big events are sales.. tbh the only 50% sale should be tanki's b day or new years or there should be none especially with all this whining i would cancel one of the sales serouisly or say we are canceling all sales and going back to the way it was orginally with NO Sales!

LOL no one is being greedy and no one is going broke.

 

The only reason you are unhappy is because we gave too many sales last year. Naturally, you guys got used to them and now think that anything below 50% off is not a good sale.

 

This will be fixed with time though, the only thing it takes is time. Consider this a visit to a rehab. A rehab for 50% off addicts. :D

 

Seriously though, sales are not everything. We'll be looking more into the side of doing some all-new gameplay experiences for events (new battle modes and stuff like that). Stay tuned :)

Yes, I will be unable to get the combo I wanted (M2 Dictator and Thunder) but it's not the end of the world. It could've been 25%, or they could've chosen to have no sale at all (although that is unlikely). And yes, while this isn't your typical free online game, we should still be thankful for any major discounts and promotions we are given, even if they aren't what we hoped for.
