Guys, this is very disappointing, seriously.

 

Please understand that we can't have 50% sales all the time. Actually, I think we are one of the few games who ever has 50% sales, most just don't do that.

 

Why? Because it affects the game's economy SO MUCH.

 

If Tanki's economy gets ruined, the whole game will be ruined. There won't be 50%, 40%, 25% or any sales. There won't be the game at all.

 

I know that the last year was full of sales, but it actually affected the game in a pretty negative way. Please understand, that the game needs to function steadily to keep living and growing, and giving you fun and enjoyment.

 

If we continued last year's policy, I don't know where Tanki would be now. Probably it wouldn't exist.

 

So yes, it's a 2-sided thing. You love sales, but big sales are dangerous. That's why we limited it to 40%, as a perfect balance between fun for players and balance for the game. Unfortunately, many of you guys didn't understand that.

 

What I ask you to do is to try to understand that it's a lot more complicated then it looks. It about constant balance. And 40% is better than no sale or 25% off.

 

I hope some of you are grateful for the celebrations. This would really give us a boost to keep working for you.

I can't believe it. After 72 pages, you still can't comprehend why the great majority is upset and actually pissed off.

 

That is why I am irritated.

 

The reason is that Tanki disappointed them, failed them. It is not about the size of the sale. People were expecting something and got something worse than they expected. Period. You can justify it all you want and even write differential and integral equations about it, and that will not change a thing. It will only show that you are out of touch and damn slow on the uptake.

 

To those who keep reiterating that it is about the 10% and you can play a few hours more and make it up, what do you think about MUs? How many hours can I play in a couple of days to earn 300k crystals? Two hours? 5 hours? I know it only takes catching 150 fat gold boxes, but I have never been features on the V-Log as a gold hunter of the week, or the year for that matter.

 

Tanki, you failed because you did not meet the expectations of your customers. Period. You need to drive this point through your thick skull.

 

To add oil to the fire, you did this after you pissed everyone off by the silly score cap stunt. You did not even try to fix it after you admitted that it was wrong. This shows a behavioral pattern.

 

We know why you did this, and we don't believe you, and we think what you did was counterproductive and backfired. You can say whatever you want, but if you don't comprehend this, you might as well remain silent, because, as you can see, we are using everything you say against you.

 

@creeperskelly nailed the capitalism thing clearly, so drop it, and have the decency to learn from your mistakes.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day of Tanki and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

lol, were you around for the MUs stuff, people flipped, ( i may or may not have been one of them....) and guess what it did nothing, absolutely nothing.... right?(not really, it helps to have a way to release stress, and then you go back there and think well that was stupid) but yeah, be grateful, at least it is 40%, right? as Semyon said, enjoy the rehab, and new stuff may be coming( but it will probably be 10% less stuff grumble whine ect)  what is theAlt+MAlt+N thing?

Wow, I'm super excited for the awesome 40% discounts that the developers gave us! Love that new shiny 2000 gold box yesterday and the upcoming XT equipment!

 

Everyone that complaints are sooooooooooooo ungrateful.

I would made a different comparison: You get only 80% of your usual seasonal/year bonus at work. Do you smile and be happy that you at least got a bonus or do you feel cheated, used or lied to?

Good point man. Its just how u look at it . . . pitcher half full sorta thing. I seriously dont care about the 10% difference, because i dont play much and didnt save enough crystals for anything. BUT i do have sympathy for those whos plans were ruined and for generalissimos who dont benefit from this sale

Where do you count "hundreds upon hundreds of thousands"? Are playing the same game as the rest of us? LOL  Tanki has no where near that many players. LOL Max server load today was only 76,000 +  and half of those are multiple accounts. Tanki would like people to believe they have hundreds of thousands of players but the truth is not even close.

I don't really care one way or the other, I'm not buying anything this time around. No crystals. :(  

What I do have issue with is the fact they pretended like everything was some great celebration, like they lead us to believe, based off of past events. All they had to do was say, up front, "Guys we made some mistakes in the past by offering such good deals but we can't afford to do it anymore". It would have prepared people a little. Instead they get everyone excited about the coming arrival of "Tanker's Day" and how great it will be. By telling us it's the biggest day of the year everyone assumed it was going to the biggest event and sale of the year. Unfortunately it was a huge let down for many and this is what sparked the uproar and resentment. 

 

In the future, just be honest and don't lead us to believe one thing while doing something else. People hate to feel deceived.

40% ain't bad, to be honest. An MU sale would've made it perfect though. Two reasons why I'm not buying anything:

 

1) No MU sale. I don't know why but it just bothers me so much. I don't want to buy M3 Viking and feel a slight boost, but in the end be easily DESTROYED by other tanks with M4 Hulls (VIkings). The possibility of that happening just bothers me ahahahaa. :D

Furthermore if I upgrade my currently clean (NO MU) Viking M2 to a Viking M4 automatically, the huge surge in stats would be really fun to experience all at once, instead of cutting it down to half. One small boost from M2 -> M3, and then another small boost in MU's    . . .

 

2) Unity tanki.

The fact that the possibility of us being able to transfer is ambiguous makes me not want to touch my garage or crystal wallet at all.

Overall though I really hope it's not going to be just buyers who will be able to transfer. -_- <_<

If you really want a 50% off then just be patient and wait. Preferably for New Year's sale.

The thing is, TO Devs ain't going to increase sales just because of 400+ downvotes on a topic.
