You cost: 231,000

My cost: 685,000

 

At 50%:

 

You pay: 115,000

I pay: 342,000

 

At 60%:

 

You pay: 138,600

I pay: 411,000

 

Difference:

 

You: 23,600

Me: 69,000

 

This is why you and others at lower ranks care less about what the sale really is as it doesn't impact you that much at all.

Tanki has a very cynical community.

Maybe, but free speech is a wonderful thing. It shows how great the human race is.

 

 

Where do you count "hundreds upon hundreds of thousands"? Are playing the same game as the rest of us? LOL  Tanki has no where near that many players. LOL Max server load today was only 76,000 +  and half of those are multiple accounts. Tanki would like people to believe they have hundreds of thousands of players but the truth is not even close.

TO's about deception and pulling figures out of a magical hat. 76000 is already good enough. :)

So in the end, even if you've purchased crystals, you still might have to start over. So we're still in the same boat, technically. ESPECIALLY since Devs keep saying that the new Tanki will be a new PRODUCT, an entirely new game.

Buuuut, Buyers do have the upper edge nonetheless.

It will suck for us nonbuyers if only buyers will get some "goodies" or be recognized, or even having the option to transfer. Yeah that'd be really mean actually. :(

Well, here's the problem. Your rank and amount of crystals are different at each sale. I wasn't a Marshall when the June sale took place, so, the things I want now were not available to me when items were 50%.

 

Also for whatever reason some people just aren't able to be online when a particular sale takes place.

 

Also, if the "economy" is damaged by sales WHY ARE DRUG KITS 75% OFF all the time???

 

 

This is 420,000 crystals' worth of drugs for 75% off. The garage price of all those supplies is more than any M3 turret or hull.

 

So it's OK to have 75% off on drugs all the time but we have to "suck it up" when a once per year sale is lower than last year?

 

It just clearly shows how little people really understand the problem here.

This community is this way because of their actions. Players are fed up with the way they chose to conduct themselves.  Many of us don't trust their decisions anymore.

Guys, this is very disappointing, seriously.

 

Please understand that we can't have 50% sales all the time. Actually, I think we are one of the few games who ever has 50% sales, most just don't do that.

 

Why? Because it affects the game's economy SO MUCH.

 

If Tanki's economy gets ruined, the whole game will be ruined. There won't be 50%, 40%, 25% or any sales. There won't be the game at all.

 

I know that the last year was full of sales, but it actually affected the game in a pretty negative way. Please understand, that the game needs to function steadily to keep living and growing, and giving you fun and enjoyment.

 

If we continued last year's policy, I don't know where Tanki would be now. Probably it wouldn't exist.

 

So yes, it's a 2-sided thing. You love sales, but big sales are dangerous. That's why we limited it to 40%, as a perfect balance between fun for players and balance for the game. Unfortunately, many of you guys didn't understand that.

 

What I ask you to do is to try to understand that it's a lot more complicated then it looks. It about constant balance. And 40% is better than no sale or 25% off.

 

I hope some of you are grateful for the celebrations. This would really give us a boost to keep working for you.

You already know why but I'll tell everyone else. They want as many supplies as possible in the game. How do most players fight mindless druggers?  By using more supplies themselves. What happens when your supplies run low? If your a drugger you buy more. I would guess that the sale of supplies is their biggest source of income.

Unfair because non-buyers make up a huge part of this game, spend alot of time on it, support it ect. They at least should get what they worked for

In my case with the last sale I had both strikes against me: I was on vacation, and, I was at the wrong rank (I don't recall if I had hit Brigadier yet so I don't even think Isida M3 was available to me at the time).

 

My plans for this sale would have been Isida M3 and Viking M3 along with a better paint. Now because of the lower discount I have to settle on not getting the paint I wanted. That extra 10% discount on all 3 would have allowed me to reach my goal.

Absolutely. Supplies are the biggest profit maker because they get used up. So it seems illogical that they would have the largest discount of any item - if it were up to me the tanks would be cheap and the supplies expensive - to create that demand.

 

It's the same reason why a Coke and fries at /\/\ or Coke and popcorn at the movies are hideously expensive.

 

Sad thing is that any fully upgraded M3 gives you barely 2x the power or protection of any M1 turret or hull. Yet you pay almost 50x more for that fully upgraded M3+ than you did for M1.

 

The other guys sell their tanks or ships for about $50 with kits of supplies or currency ranging from $5 to at most $99 - and from time to time they have smaller discounts - I was looking today and the discounts range from 5% - 8%. But you don't need much of a discount during their sales because what they offer isn't very expensive in the first place.
