Where do you count "hundreds upon hundreds of thousands"? Are playing the same game as the rest of us? LOL Tanki has no where near that many players. LOL Max server load today was only 76,000 + and half of those are multiple accounts. Tanki would like people to believe they have hundreds of thousands of players but the truth is not even close.

I don't really care one way or the other, I'm not buying anything this time around. No crystals. :(

What I do have issue with is the fact they pretended like everything was some great celebration, like they lead us to believe, based off of past events. All they had to do was say, up front, "Guys we made some mistakes in the past by offering such good deals but we can't afford to do it anymore". It would have prepared people a little. Instead they get everyone excited about the coming arrival of "Tanker's Day" and how great it will be. By telling us it's the biggest day of the year everyone assumed it was going to the biggest event and sale of the year. Unfortunately it was a huge let down for many and this is what sparked the uproar and resentment.

 

In the future, just be honest and don't lead us to believe one thing while doing something else. People hate to feel deceived.

Also if you see something in a kit it is NOT discounted twice - the Vandal kit costs exactly the same as it did one hour ago - the upgrade to Twins M3 included in the kit is the same price as buying Twins M3 alone. It is not 40% off and 40% off on Twins again.

 

Whoever posted that the sale price applied to kits as well was wrong.

Simple. Buyers and Non-buyers make up the community.

Both are very important. Imagine the game with all non-buyers gone, and only buyers are left.

Then what's the point? You have no edge over anyone else with your supplies, since everyone would have massive amounts of them.

Furthermore, the community would be MUCH smaller. Think about how and why people know what Tanki is. People spread the word about it. People play with their friends, family, etc. and non-buyers contribute to that "spread."

 

An event where only buyers would be able to transfer is just stupid and offensive in my opinion.

Notice how the margin between buyers and non-buyers gets, I dunno, bigger and bigger everytime?

This community is this way because of their actions. Players are fed up with the way they chose to conduct themselves.  Many of us don't trust their decisions anymore.

I've found most of their decisions to be rational. Since the removal of crystal boxes games have become much more active. The score cap has indeed sped up mega-one sided games (although, I still think this system could be tweaked) and no one really talks about the physics update anymore. I honestly trust Tank Online to do what they think is best, because they see the whole picture and we do not.

 

And obviously they are in it for the money. Every business should be. Without, they wouldn't be able to even support servers, let alone try and progress the game.

Lets not get into the "transfer or not transfer" discussion in this topic too. They already know exactly what they have planned they just can't tell us until unity is released. If they say no to a "transfer" now then players will just stop investing any money in this version.  If they say yes they will also have a lot of players stop spending while they just wait for the better version to come out. Either way they will have a much harder time earning money to fund the new version.

Oh yes! I as looking at when the event ended instead of when it started. Didn't even know there was something at the left.

 

In that case, I'm pretty sure its supposed to make the Twins because 56%, because it should be 40% of 40% added to the original. I swear this is how it is supposed to work.

 

EDIT:I just looked at it, the sale DID apply to the "Vandal Kit". While the sign on the icon did not change, the discount is there next to the individual turret. While the Turret price is now 40% of the original BEFORE the 50% is taken, the Hunter price is still full price. So the discount is still there.

Oh, I doubt it would be release day. I would assume it would be sometime during "Bee-tah" testing, as that's when players themselves would actually get a good look at the economic design.

 

Either way, it has been stated that veteran players will get a form of compensation, even if it is not just a full garage for garage copy. My prediction? A refund. They said that the earning of crystal would stay the same, so a refund would be able to work. (Although, Hazel-Rah keeps saying no to refunds, but he also said they wouldn't call the machine gun turret "Vulcan", so the guy can change).

Yes, you are correct - the turret (or hull or paint) is discounted individually  in the subtotal, then, an additional kit discount applied.

I did not get that vibe at all. He clearly explained the reasoning behind the discount reduction. If anyone has been rude its you. Every one of your posts is highly sarcastic and unforgiving.

 

You talk about Tanki not meeting expectations, but there literally were no expectations set yet. The sales change all the time. 2012's Tankmen's day was only 25% on garage items for 2 days. 2013's was only 50% off because they made us do contests and take screenshots and stuff to get there. That one could have easily been 30% off or 40%. 2014's was the only one where they gave us 50% off on Tankmen's Day "just cause".

 

They also never claimed that "Tankmen's Day will always be 50% off!". The prices were not given til they were announced. You can't just ride on old expectations and be pissed off when the new one's aren't identical.
