Awesome article Stratus! You truly know how to use words. I wish I could write like you....

Good writing is not something you can be taught in a classroom, it's something that you must have within you from the start. The classroom can refine your skill, but you must be a writer in order to ever write well.

I wrote a topic a while back entitled "How to Write Well, on Tanki and Elsewhere", which contains my measly attempt at advising budding writers.

Lel, like I actually learned anything in the classroom besides History.

This message is not supposed to be offensive. It is just my opinion.

In my opinion, any songs with words just don't work for putting you in the mood. I prefer instrumental stuff, it just works better. Just search for music with warlike or aggressive themes or something like that. Something that I think would be a good starting point is Mars: Bringer of War by Gustav Holst. Anything from Star Wars or any of your favorite movies/TV shows could work, too. Just explore :)

Do you mean Skrillex?

Oh and by the way, stratus, don't listen to any song which contains the word 'dubstep' in it :P When I listen to gaming music, I try and limit it to Skrillex and Knife Party.

this is skillet, not sktillex, here are some examples of skillet.

Your sarcastic comments are inspiring, btw, did you listed to my selections of skillet, and Rapture Ruckus. BTWA, If you want to listen to any of mine, you should listen, first page.

Yeah, I suppose so :P In this case, I guess Stratus is using Verdana. Shedi prefers Trebuchet MS for all his articles while I am a big fan of Tahoma.

Verdana, Trebuchet MS, Tahoma...

I have written the names of these fonts in their own 'font'. :) Not much difference I see in them, but I don't know why but Treb looks good!  ^_^

The article is well written, but music is highly subjective to one's preference. I prefer songs with lyrics as it is fun to relate the lyrics to your own life or to sing it. With electronic music, you can't really do that. It sounds good but it doesn't relate to you. Though, I guess I do agree that songs with lyrics probably aren't best to listen to while playing tanki.

I agree with you 100%. Personally I prefer classical music over any other type.(playing the violin and all). Try out the music Blue Planet it's not your everyday classical music. Great article. :) :D

Note that you may have trouble finding the music but you'll know when you find it as it is very unique, it's better for some calmer gameplay. Enjoy! :D When I mean trouble finding it I mean it's really hard. I can't find it again sadly :( but anyways it's a great piece of music. :) :D

Btw Vivaldi four seasons is one of my favorites. :)

I like classical music cause you cant find any good music to listen to nowdays anyway

Was it the Alt+MAlt+N?

If it was, it just went away on day, at about 12 ish. I don't know why it was their, I had never seen it before, but it came on. I was forced to type blind, or switch from BBCode mode and back. It disappeared though. Thanks for the concern m8.

Just go back in time on youtube, etc.

Search 70's if you like slowish music or otherwise listen to 80's or 90's. That was when the best music was made, in my opinion.

So true. All my friends think I'm crazy because i don't listen to pop and don't know the names of any of the songs. :p

I'm a die hard classical music fan. :)

Great article! Everyone has their own taste in music. I'm glad there's no genre bashing in here (so far).

Personally, my favorite genre of music (as of now) is "Liquid Drum n' Bass". While indeed the beats might be a little repetitive, I find it very relaxing and calming to the ear, and I space out while listening to it in the car 100% of the time.

Here are my favorites :)
