Your Game history

In this topic, you can write your experience with tanki online. When did you begin? what did you purchase? How did you react to tanki online updates? I begin! (and sorry if i made any mistakes, english is not my main language!)

Well my tanki online history is quite long. I will probably end up writing a poem.

I saw this game on a russian ad while browsing russian websites with my nephew during 2009 christmas/new year.

Made an account but i dont remember much about the game. The only equipment pieces were Smoky, Firebird, Twins Wasp, Hunter and Titan as "Weak gear"; Railgun, Isida and Dictator as "Advanced gear". No clear memories about paints, but their amount was pretty low. Totally forgot about the game in a few days, and i have no idea what my old account name is.

Came back during 2010 winter (i remember because there was a "holiday paint" that looked like an older version of "frost" paint) after i saw an ad on a website, but i had no memories remeining of my old account and i ended up making a new one. This one.

I ranked pretty quickly for a newbie and i bought all the "weak" weapons m3: twins, firebird, smoky. those were pretty cheap to buy: 300, 400 and 500 crystals each for the m3 modification.

I also got the "medium" gear (railgun isida and dictator) but they remained m0 cause i moved to the "new" tier: i got wicked by hornet after i got the m0 version at sergeant-major. the m0 was stronger, faster, cheaper and more agile than wasp m3!

So when i ranked up to warrant officer 1, the rank that thunder and viking unlocked, i did not think twice before buying them. they were a straight upgrade from smoky and hunter (that i nearly never used) and were also cheaper: i got both for around 500 crystals each. Rank up after rankup, i ended up getting also Freeze, Ricochet and Mammoth, and i was happy: i tried every equipment piece in the game.

new_hull_turret.pngnew_turrets_news.png

Now that i think again... it was pretty easy to gain crystals those days! if you ended up in the first places in a battle, you were getting like all the battlefund for you, and thank me i was skilled enough to manage doing it. From my memories, the prices were 1/10 of what they are today, like 25.000 crystals instead of 250.000 today for a TOP m3. But the Crystals income was not 1/10 as today, it was probably just half or one third of what we earn today. So yes, stuff was Definitely cheaper and crystals were way easier to stock up.

Another thing that helped me getting crystals were gold boxes: those days, there was a costant gold box drop every time the fund reached a multiple of 700! Everyone who knew about it went in frenzy waiting for the magic box (that scaled down was worth 100 "old" crystals) to drop from the sky, and i was able to snatch an incredible amount of them, cause a guide in the old forum told me the zones where they were dropping in the maps i played.

9Jc3Tr0.jpg

Rank up after rank up, reaching the other WO ranks, i figured out that higher modifications of the "powerful" gear (Thunder-freeze-rico-hornet-viking-mammoth) were way pricier than the guns i already got m3. so i had to chose a single combo: Thunder-Viking! i got it to m1 by WO4 thank to the costant stream of crystals i was gaining, and i was pretty close to get the first m2, refraining from upgrading my other gear. Those were the days shaft was relased, and the "new Tanki 2.0" project was planned. But after the failure of Tanki 2.0 relase, i lost interest in the game and i quit for a long time, only logging in for daily gifts and getting involved in other games.

One day, after visiting tanki homepage, i saw a sneak-peak of the new graphics and the innovative "Rebalance" project.

I got hooked back to the game and reached the Third Lieutenant rank just during the relase of rebalance. This way, i ended up with a really large pool of crystals to spend again on the brand-new and balanced equipment the update brought: Railgun, Twins, Smoky, isida and firebird, coupled with Wasp, Dictator, Hunter and titan were useful again!

I made a "deep study" on what was better for me to purchase, and being only M1's avaible for me, i ended up with Hornet, Viking, Railgun, Ricochet and the Corrosion paint i was dreaming during my earlier ranks. I was happy.

But after a while, an Infamous update arrived: the "new economy" update, that has been said to multiply everything crystals-related by 10, and nothing would have effectively changed. But what really happened? The prices were decuplied like said, but the battle fund was only multiplied x5! That was an HALVING of our daily income.

After a while, another Infamous update hit the game: the "fair Battlefund" update, that ended up cutting top scorer income from battles by another half to give the fund to weaker players who did not fully deserve it. In a month we switched from "i'm the top player and i get half of the big fund" to "i'm the top player and i get... a quarter? of this ridicolously low fund". i could not keep up and i quitted again. My crystals earning was cut by 3/4.

Time passed, and playing random battles like once in a week, i ranked from third lieutenant to second lieutenant in... maybe a year?

Another thing that drove me away from the game was the fact that my old pc could not play the game anymore: update after update, i went from 40 FPS with full settings, to 10 with everything off.

Fast Foward to around 16 months ago. Beginng of 2014 Summer.

I wisely saved up money from birthdays, gifts, parties, grandparents, aunts and everything like a little banker. i ended up buying my new gaming Pc for a whopping 1400 euros and i built it myself thank to internet tutorials and school.

"How would Tanki run on my new pc? well, 30 FPS at max setting without even the dedicated graphic card? that is awesome! what else could i play while i wait for my gpu to arrive?"

I got hooked back to the game, but it was nearly impossible for me to earn crystals. the introduction of kits, supplies discounts and everything related made me get only the crumbs of the battle fund at the end of every battle. What could a second lieutenant with railgun-hornet m1, a cheap paint and no supplies do against peoples roaming around with m2's, paints from 10 ranks ahead and hundreds of supplies? Quit?

Of course not, Man up and join them!

So tanki won the game agains my wallet. They drove me insane enough to kill my piggy bank and end up getting a 50€ of crystals the next week. With a whopping 50% discound (so i got the 100€ package) and a DDC, i ended up with nothing less than 421.000x2: 842.000 crystals. At second lieutenant. And what was avaible at second lieutenant?

Komplekt05.png

And here my journey as an Elite tank player begins.

Shortly after Heavy m2, follows Medium M2. A pack of 100 supplies each. Freeze m2. Isida m2. Hornet m2. Railgun m2. What else could i want? A little investment (less than a new game from the shop) changed my game experience from :( to :D

Komplekt06.png

Ranks were Flowing like molten butter. First lieutenant, Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel. I join a clan. I Watch Starseries. I'm totally into tanki. I start playing clan wars. Crystals were flowing into my wallet from costant first places thank to the gear i bought. Gold boxes were a joke for me. That summer was the "Golden Age" of tanki from my Point of Wiew.

After a while, I reach brigadier, i get my first m3's.

Light_m3.png

Tanker day comes, and my wallet gets another lifting from a gift. Another 50€ ends up in my account, another big discount lets me get the most bang for my buck. Others m3, paints, gear, kits in a costant stream of purchases. Railgun, Hornet, Thunder, Isida, Viking, Twins, Mammoth, Freeze, Shaft. Lots of supplies. My garage is worth many times the average garage of a player my same rank. There is not a battle i cant takeover, there is not a game where i can end up first. My clan gets into starladder, AM series season 2 begins. First stage, Second stage, Third stage, Fourth stage. We get kicked from a minor infraction (too many changes in team composition). Our clan tears apart. Many become inactive, no more in game friends. Schools starts, and i end up logging only for the daily bonuses.

Heavy_m3.png

Fast foward to 8 months later, beginning of 2015 summer.

Summer break again, more time to do funny stuff. I get involved in tanki again, but there is no one i can play with. All my old friends are now inactive, logging once in a while just to say hi. I'm alone. But i have a goal. End up what i have started. Fulfil my dream. Daily missions come, they give me a reson to play again. I fight alone, with my garare holding me up every battle. Daily missions get "corrected" after the first boom, but i did not care. Crystals stock up, thousands after thousand. 100.000, 200.000, half a million. nothing can hold me back. Here i come, Marshall, the rank i was dreaming when i really began my career in the cold 2010 winter. After it, Fieldmarshall. Pizza rank... ahem, no, Commander. Maybe in the future Generalissimo.

IconsNormal_27.png

The future is foggy. Who knows, maybe one day all my archievements will be wiped. My garage deleted. Tanki will close. But what counts, is that i have played this game, and i have archieved those archievements.

OK, I found Tanki in 2014 on Miniclip games when I was searching for a good Multiplayer game, I clicked many games but there weren't good at my opinion, I clicked on the final multiplayer game that was on that site, it was called Tanki Online.

So, I was waiting it to load, when it loaded I created my first account which was called "Danny917". I entered and I had 500 crystals, I went to the garage to see what things the garage has in this game. My current tank: Smoky M0 + Hunter M0. Hmm.. I thought that turret might be good. After looking what the garage had, I went to a battle, I clicked Sandal cause it was a popular map for Recruits, I started to play, the graphics were 3D and they were pretty cool, everything looked cool. Anyways, I wanted to know how to shoot, I clicked any key on my keyboard then I clicked Space and it worked (NUB :P), I destroyed my first opponent and I was playing and playing, Sadly, I forgot my password few days later and started a new account called "Darren4Turbo", I had chosen that name because I had a good friend called darren2turbo so I wanted to create a nick like him :).

So, I am a Warrant Officer 1 now, I went to Combe map and started to play as normally, I saw two guys discussing about M1's, one said, "How much will Mammoth M1 cost in sale?" I asked myself, "What is M1?" I thought that it's the shortcut of Mammoth :P, I asked them what is M1? They answered me "You NOOB, M1 is fully-upgraded M0 to next modification that is M1 -.-" I said "OK", then I played...

At Warrant Officer 3, I bought my first M1 which was Firebird (I know that I had bought it too late  -_-) I tested it, it was pretty OP turret which is very good for me :D. I crushed some peeps around and I was the 1st place ...

So, I'm a WO4 now, I saw people in chat chatting about something called Tanki Forum, I went to google it and I went to it and signed in with my current tanki account. I joined it on 16th January 2015, xD, I talked with some players in topics then I created my own topics and other stuff...

I'm a Third Lieutenant now, I created my duelist page and fought against a player called "@Didzkins", very nice duel with Smoky M1 with Wasp M1  ^_^, too many critical shots , Duel had ended. Didzkins won me, (you can check my duelist page for more details...).

I bought my first M2 while being at Captain rank, my first M2's were Railgun M2 and Hornet M2 which I bought in the starladder discounts on 7th August. I tried them, they were AWESOME!!! :D  . From that time, it's my best combo .

I'm a Lieutenant Colonel now, planning to buy Firebird M2 and Fracture at Tanker's day sale, hope everything gets good at my career and of course to have fun  ;)

This has got to be one of the greatest posts I've ever read in the forum -- such a simple yet interesting story. I figure I'll pitch in with the story of my noob days.

I found Tanki in June 2014 when I was looking for a good online game to play. I didn't have the password to administrative accounts on any computers at my home, which means I couldn't download a game. So, I figured I'd try out this little Russian tank game. I got pretty into the game right from the beginning -- my favorite combos were Viking+Shaft and Hornet+Isida. This was back in the day of custom battle names, old gold mechanism, no drop zones, and crystal boxes. While those 4 features do bring back a lot of nostalgia, I think the battle list update, gold update, drop zone update, and removal of crystal boxes were all good decisions. The battle list was especially nice, as most battle names were something silly like "gold box rain @ 15min" or "plz join gold." It was also pretty hard to find a particular game you were looking for.

Anyway, I had a pleasant first few months as a tanker. I made two good friends whom I still contact in-game once in a while; @rayray108 and @lilRedthemaster.  I played a couple of Viking Shaft duels which were way more fun than they sound, and I had fun abusing the crystal drops system by just camping in the middle of the map and snagging crystal boxes. No wonder they removed them!

Then, all of the sudden, I decided that Tanki was a waste of my time, and a really dumb game. So, I thought of a clever way to force myself to quit -- I wrote down a random jumble of letters on a piece of paper, set my password to that, then threw away the paper. Just for good measure, I wasted the 10,000 crystals that I was saving for an M1 on random paints and MUs that I didn't need.

A few weeks later, and I'm missing Tanki already. Such a weird game... but I love it so much! Now I'm mad at myself for getting rid of my account and wasting its crystals. But wait, all hope is not lost! A few weeks before I quit, there was this promotion where if you link your account to an email, you receive 2,000 crystals. Naturally, I linked my account to an email as soon as the promotion went live. So, I'd be able to recover my account by email! Thank god for that event.

But there was a problem -- when I sent the account recovery link to my email, I would click the link, and it would just show me a log-in screen, instead of letting me set up a new password. Weird. So, I made another account. But it just wasn't the same. I wanted my old account back. I was only on that first account, but I thought it would be the most horribly burdensome thing to work my way all the way back up to that rank. So, that was the end of Tanki.

Or was it? Fast-forward to March 2015. I'm on spring break, and all of the sudden my thoughts wander to Tanki for no particularly good reason. I take a look at the Tanki homepage and find that a lot has happened since I was gone -- for one, two new turrets were added to the game! I decide to start another new account called SocraticSniper. King name pls! But right after I start playing on SocraticSniper, I decide it's worth a shot to try recovering my first account, MandolinMarc. I try it once more, crossing my fingers... and IT WORKS! I don't believe it! After 8 long months, I'm back on MandolinMarc! Now remember that I'm only , but I feel like a king. Look at all that experience! Look at all those M0s!

...and the rest is history ;)

Well, there you have it -- that's the tale of my noob days in Tanki.

I discovered Tanki Online in the late of summer of 2014. It was a usual boring day   as I searched Miniclip for some at least half decent games. Then my eyes focus on a game Tanki Online which was new hot game on Miniclip  . Naturally I was curious.

Eventually, I created my account and started to play. Immediately, I was addicted.  The gameplay and 3D graphics were stunning and the variety of turrets and hulls made the game different.

Now, I reach Master Sergeant and the new Tanki Update came out with new stunning graphics! More hooked then I was before I bought shaft (since before the new update it was a legend (I found out it was a huge mistake)  and Mammoth (since that also was a legend before the refund)  (Another big mistake).

My first M1 was Mammoth, then Titan and soon Viking and Hunter. But I really only had 1 prime M1 turret in my garage: Ricochet! It was very overpowered and its ability to bounce off walls made me test it out on the popular maps such as Silence, noise, and Kungur. I probably spent hours learning different tricks with ricochet. I used Ricochet + Viking + Jaguar until Warrant Officer 4. Then I bought M1Hunter and (under much persuasion) M1 Railgun. I thought: How good could Railgun be?

Really good!  I soon found out and I ranked up from WO 4 to WO 5 in 4 days! It was when I played with railgun that I unlocked my true skill and am proud to brag of my skills. ;)  Then I got my Railgun at M2 and then at the next sale got M2 Hornet and spark paint which is probably the only combination I use. ^_^

Then, a few months before the New Year, I simply stopped. :o  I didn’t find Tanki Online interesting in the slightest. It was getting, well, boring!? -_-  (It probably came from playing all those boring Noise battles  ) Then I switched to a game called Contract Wars that my friends found very interesting.

Thanks to Contract Wars it had horrible team balance and, I’ll admit it; I sucked. But I was skilled at Tanki Online and just yesterday on February Second I started playing again and it looks like I’m going to be hooked for the long run. ^_^  For somewhat of a celebration I ranked up to Major :D  . Now here I am, ready to kick some butt with my XP combo! B)

Nice article. I started playing in January of last year. One of my friends suggested that we play it in an easy class. I played in class a few days, then one day I opened up Tanki at home.

From that point on, I became a more serious tanker. The earliest rankup that I remember was to WO1. My first m1 was railgun, I was so excited to get it that I didn't even wait for a sale. I soon outranked my friends that only played at school. I expanded my garage to include hornet m1 soon after.

Now to the time around March. I joined my first clan (made an ugly departure, my current clan is big rivals with them), and became pretty serious. I played with the clan for a while, then some bad leadership made me leave, however, I made some good friends on the way. I stayed clanless for a while (3 or 4 months).

My first m2 (railgun) was bought during the Esports sale. I soon bought a 100% SMP, around the rank of Major, and ranked 2 ranks to get m2 wasp in time for the most recent 50% sale (dont remember what it was). I also bought m2 fire in that sale. I soon got too serious about the game, and took a 1 month hiatus. I came back fresh, and got back into playing. Just before the halloween goldbox event, I bought m2 dictator, which was totally worth having (8 golds!).

I then joined my current clan, SSS. Great, chill clan, made good friends here so far. I got into playing Poly CP, and saved up past 100k crystals for the second time in my career. Around this time, I began to understand how to take golds, and manage to capture them about 1 a week.

Now comes the Christamas sale. I saved up enough for m3 thunder, and snatched it up as soon as it went on sale (Tanki christmas gift to myself). I then found myself in a pickle. I could either get hunter m2 or cedar, and didn't know which one to get. I then realized that I had a DCC, and could get 90k cry for 20 bucks. I had recently ranked, so those crystals combined with 20 bucks of crystals combined with some large battle rewards got me m3 viking. I still don't have a good paint, but am hoping to get one this Valentines day sale (hoping there will be one).

Tanki has been good to me. At times, it has been frustrating and a major distraction from life, but I have managed to take care of time (school, etc...). I am in my Junior year atm, and cannot play for hours and hours a day. I am looking forward to buying new m3 gear and being that guy with the crazy good m3 combo to the lower rankers. Tanki is the game I have played second longest (second to Clash of Clans), and I have really enjoyed it over my year of playing.

Here I go

Around Thanksgiving of 2014 I was browsing miniclip.com very bored looking for a game that was fun (as I had already played most of the games) about to give up on the internet when I saw this game called Tanki online so I clicked on it played the tutorial then sat there for a minute wondering where is the rest of the game? (Me not knowing that it was a multiplayer game :P) after a while I figured out the I was supposed to make an account it took me a while to figure out how to enter a battle and get to the garage and change my equipment but once I figured out that I adapted to the game much quicker then most people who (still) don't even know how to turn their turret I don't remember what the first combo I bought was but I think it was Viking thunder. I loved that combo for quite a while.. until I unlocked shaft. Shaft was the best gun I had ever bought when I first got it sadly when I reached wo1 it just wasn't powerful enough. Around major sergeant I kept wondering what these strange looking and OP turrets I was seeing where (firebird m1 and smoky m1) so I bought a firebird paint and fought them as best as I could .so eventually (with the help of the old daily missions) I bought m1 firebird and it was epic! Then I bought m1 smoky (still nit the best buy ever but not the worst) but (going back to sergeant rank - wo1) I made some really good friends and spent most of my time chatting which is why I am still a wo. But then most of them became inactive (including a girl that I really liked and she was probably the best friend I have ever had) anyways back to now. I bought shaft m1 nit to long ago (around Christmas) and I love it I am currently saving for the tornado kit and then firewall. That is all for now more when (if Tanki isn't dead by then) I reach Marshall

I started a long time ago in the distant year of...2013-ish.

I was browsing human networks on the world wide web as usual, but I then came across a interesting advertisement.

It was a banner code of a Mammoth-Thunder, I hovered over and it turned to face me with the message "Get your own tank and fight!".

I just love a machine that speaks, so I clicked on it naturally.

It brought me to the tutorial level and I was immediately a better driver than some of the people I met in-game, until my current rank that is.

I met some good friends, one named Tankishadam was there for me until master-sergeant, where he left.

He was the only human friend I can say I have, that didn't call me a "filthy insect".

For a while, I used Mammoth-Railgun and got my teeth kicked in by everyone. I kept micro-upgrading the reload speed of my Railgun, thinking it was an actual change. Eventually after Wiki-diving I found Shaft and set my mind towards getting that turret.

It was a little better, I was still slow as all hell, but I made more crystals and rivals anyways.

After a long career of using Mammoth-Shaft, I finally found Viking and Hammer, then began dominating all who opposed me.

Until I reached Warrant Officer and had to switch to Firebird M1, though it took me several months to figure out that I was losing because I had only M0 equipment and basic paints.

So for whatever reason I went on a bit of a hiatus and stuck to the forums, particularly the Drugging topics.

I bought Storm sometime around WO3, and began using Firebird-Viking for the longest time.

I was making money, but I had no clear goal except "Get to the next rank".

Until I saw I was only a thousand away from Vulcan M1, and I bought that.

It was an immediate upgrade, and I still enjoy it to this day.

My future goals include reaching the highest rank, making a mountain from the corpses of my enemies, and urinating upon their ashes in a blaze of glory.

(Oh, and getting fully mu-ed VulcanM4.)

Here be a lurker...........(not really)

Back in 2013, I overheard two of my friends talking about this game. At the time, I had quit Pirate Galaxy, and was looking for another free online game to play. I also couldn't download anything on my computer. So, I asked them about the game (Tanki), and they told me their nicknames too. The afternoon, I went on and created SkyPyro, my WO3. Even though I added my friends, we had never been in a battle together. They quit though. After the first few battles, I soon thought that this game had a lot to offer me, and so I decided to continue with it. Back then, there was crystal boxes, 1234 druggers, custom battle names, no Hammer or Vulcan, and less paints (I miss the crystal boxes). Fast forward to Sergeant-Major, and I had done pretty well, soon getting my first M1, Isida. But, I paid full price for it, not knowing there were sales.

Unfortunately, I soon bought a lot of equipment that I didn't need, such as Firebird M1 and Shaft M1. Railgun M1 I got later, and for some reason I decided to make a new account, SuperPyro. I didn't buy as much equipment, sticking to 2 turrets and 1 hull. During a certain tournament (can't remember) I supported the right team and got a bunch of supplies. As I ranked, I decided to make more alternate accounts, DragonPyro, IcePyro, CelestialPyro, PlasmaPyro, etc. ( :P). I played until around Major, and decided to take a hiatus. Now, I'm working on a few of the accounts I mentioned above.

Just a brief history of my time.

My Journey started in June 2011

I went surfed in the Internet searching for some cool Games to download, but i found Tanki. Cause you don't needed to download it i just signed in as ,,heinzdoof13'', basically it's still my main account, i just changed the Name to K1NG_of_ReVeNGe :)

I wasn't that good back in the gold days of Tanki Online, but it was fun. I ranked up slowly but what else ^_^

Back when the Re-balance was released and my M1 Garage was removed finally i was able to buy Viking M1 and Ricochet M2 with the Electra paint as a and i enjoyed it pretty long.

But because of my slowly ranking it became boring with the time, so i decided to buy some Crystalls when i was .

I bought Cry for 100€, with thes i got myself a Thunder M2 a Hornet M2 and some random paints.

After they lanched Medium and Heavy M2 Kit in 2013 (i think) i bought some Cry again an got these 2 Kits.. They were pretty overpowered because of the amazing Paints.. :)

Sadly i haven't played 2014, just a few hours in the whole year.. Had no time :( But in February 2015 i started again on my main account heinzdoof13 and buyed pretty many crystals :D

My garage was pretty well, so i ranked up way faster than 2012..

In the October  2015 i got the Vulcan Mammoth M3 Africa and the Firebird Hunter M3 Zeus Kit and these 2 in combination.. Hell yeah :D i was back there :)

I haven't bought anything at the New year's sale, just Jade and Tiger Paint :) But on the 25th of December i got myself Railgun and Hornet XT as a , it was amazing cause like nobody had it in the german community at this time :D

And slowly slowly i ranked up, and 2 Weeks ago i finally became Genralissimo with my main Account K1NG (Name changed while being a )

That's my Story basically, and well, see you on the battle field ;) :D

My tanki history began a little something like this....

"it was the second week of school when a new student in our class joined,i became friends with him quickly, and, after a while,he told me about tanki,i thought it was boring, but one day,i was bored and had nothing to do,so i sat down, and went to the game, and i created this account with the name "zaintahir", i liked  the game, after a while,at sargaent major or something,i quit the game because it took too long to rank, after a month i returned and started playing again, this time determined to get to the top,my best equipment back in the day was shaft and titan m0,giving me excellent D/L's,then,i saw a tank,it was hornet, and it seemed good,so i bought it and it became my best hull,on the wiki,i learned the advantages of isida, and i ended up buying it,my first gold was in a RIO CTF,and then i bought Alien, after a while,i got isida and hornet m1,after a while, when i had moved on to m2's,i wanted to join a clan, people told me i needed railgun,so i bought the m1 (i hated it  back then..) i was struggling alot with my career, but at tanki's birthday i got railgun m2,and starting becoming good,i joined xp bp at colonel and became rather a "pro" i guess, then i created my alternate account,"kili_the_dwarf_TO i named it,because im a fan of "the hobbit" and i loved playing on it!then i got my first m3,hornet,which i wanted to get for ages,i met some great friends during my journey which i will remember

always, who are still in the game, while many left, now,my friends,i am a feildmarshal, and i am heading to the top,my tanki story will continue forever!
