Question, have you looked at the image closely at full resolution, or did you just look at it and think it must be photoshop cause you couldn't do something like it?

 

(Yes, the sig was defo added digitally)

Yes, I looked at it full-res, I see non-anti-aliased edges, and a lovely glow effect. It would be difficult to make it any more obvious that it's Photoshop.

 

I just love how the instant assumption is that we're jealous of his skills and so try to get him disqualified though. Don't know where on earth that came from.

Lhamster, I think it's edited with photoshop cause there are shades, hues and lines that are vay too hard to make with a pen or a marker.

IMHO, it can be drawn with ink, but it was definitely edited with photoshop or another editing program.

And I know a very similar pic in the creative league, which positions of smoky & hornet are completely at same place..

 

But IF he'd drawn it really..

I'm undecided, so I'm finding some of these opinions useful.

 

Lhamster, I think it's edited with photoshop cause there are shades, hues and lines that are vay too hard to make with a pen or a marker.

IMHO, it can be drawn with ink, but it was definitely edited with photoshop or another editing program.

I said nothing about wanting him disqualified cause you're jelly. It came from the tone of your reply. There was no polite "Hey contest organiser, I think this one might be photoshopped". There was no justification for what you said, although you now have offered some. And mentioning it elsewhere makes you seem a bit petulant.

This is the whole paper, it is covered in black ink, it took about 4 hours. My hand was going to die if I made 1 more to and fro stroke.

My post was mostly just making an observation than attempting to notify anyone, as I apparently wrongly believed it was obvious to just about EVERYONE that it was Photoshopped. I was making a joke at his obvious forgery and the very realistic story he portrayed it with. The second post was because from the previous postings it seemed he was about to get reporter, despite being the type to try and cheat in the same newspaper contests he would be eventually hosting.

 

Now that I've explained myself, why the sudden jump to defend an obvious cheater? It's like you didn't even bother looking at the entry yourself, and instead choose to view me as some evil, obnoxious entity only here to ruin everything. Do you have something against me?

Disqualified cause your jealous would mean you know its real, but because you're jealous can't do it, you call photoshop to try and get him disqualified. I'm not saying that at all.

 

I had a close look at the picture, and it did not scream '100% photoshopped' to me, hence I questioned if you had jumped to conclusions. And no, I have nothing against you.

theres a lens flare in the middle..... next time learn photshop please, i looked at it for 1 minute and found that

i didn't enter this contest nor do i care about it but i can see it is clearly photshopped

People are innocent until proven guilty, and I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt and until the original was posted, there was no definitive proof.
