[Issue 42] Why a 40% Off Sale is Better than 50% Off

No offense, but don't be talking about ignorance when you can't spell it  :). Sorry again.

Not everyone here is native english ... why don't you concentrate your comments on concepts rather than words ... that are fully understandable even if incorrect?

This is for you KillerGnat and sonofchrysalis3 that liked your comment

How about we all just leave this topic alone, I have gotten bored of reading the same hate and response, how about we resume discussion on a different article that has nothing related to this next Issue, k, sounds great.

.......

~Maestro

Good comment, Maestro

I am trying to explain to people that Tanki makes millllion $$$, while I see many comments like "poor guys, they must make something up for their dinner soup on the table everyday".

I made some calculations based on Alternativa Platform published data and came out with a pretty rich figure!!! (actually much lower than your case too)

And you got the point! They should use part of that incredible amount of money to make the game more playable and more balanced and they would come to earn even more! But, despite they are supposed to be "managing" a company, they cannot see farer than tomorrow!

While I'm busy talking about spelling, I might take time to say that you made quite a long runon sentence there  :).

Again caring more about phrasing structure or mistakes than concepts .... and again sonofchrysalis3 likes these kind of useless "comments"

Agreed. You have a point.

Btw I have watched and played in drug wars, and watched a light format game too ok :P No h8

Playing this game for more than 3 years, I've experienced pre rebalance and post rebalance and I can say the intensity and the fun in Tanki is lost.

but to see so many hate-filled posts (especially by that one guy - @LaserShark) that seem to be aimed at suppressing a very valid point made by my colleague

Yo Sami, first of all, try and write original sentences, and not pull out phrases from your videos as you did with the text in italics.

Secondly, you're talking as if the buyers are big philanthropists and donating money for Tanki. What do you mean, enhance quality of gameplay? One buys crystals for their primary needs - ITEMS. If you couldn't purchase anything with the crystals you buy, why the hell are players 'wasting' their money?

You talk like Tanki exists to receive sums of money from their players, and then go down on their knees and thank them, deciding to do them some favours by enhancing gameplay.

You tell me, apart from what you call 'disgraceful updates,' how can Tanki enhance gameplay? Is it possible to do anything? Can Tanki bring in new turrets and hulls so easily? You say buyers invest to get better gameplay in return. Why would people buy crystals if they didn't have any need for it?

That's the point you missed - buyers don't 'buy' for advantages, they 'buy' for themselves - to fund their next purchase. They're not going to just let their purchase sit and rot, they're buying for a purpose - and that purpose is NOT to do business with Tanki.

I'm signing off here - you're plainly determined to hate the game.

Well, I think that, apart where the sentences come from, they are correct!

You (read mods) often treat us like kids ... unfortunately I noticed it in too many posts!

Enhance gameplay quality means better gameplay (es. lags, hacks and sabotages prevention, etc.) and better game balance, and many of us described the situation many and many times! I think that noone consider "enhance gameplay" just the introduction of new turrets or hulls.

Tanki should (without bending on their knees) thank its customers, yes. And they should enhance gameplay not as a "favour" but as appropriate game maintenance and enhancement. It is business, not favours exchange!

The point you missed is that we are Tanki customers, and I am not only talking about the payers, but all the players. The players, the FREE players makes up the "critical mass" that makes the game interesting. Someone once said a clever thing: what is the difference between a home game and a multiplayer online game? In the first you fight (or do anything else) with or against an algorithm (studied by developers), while in Tanki you play with or against other players, often free players. So, also free players do the work of the algorithm (also making the game more unpredictable and interesting). We enjoy the game on one side and work for you on the other side. We deserve respect (which includes not telling us "have a lollipop" or other insults IMO) just as the payers. There would be NO whales without free players!

E.Leclerc and Mr.Sarcastic

You know my position against this post, you know my position against arrogance and some insults (treating us like children) of sonofchrysalis3 and maybe some others (likes on language lectures included) ... but I don't think you should insult or hate in turn.

Do explain your reasons as you did till last 4-5 posts, let's try to make them understand why they are wrong, but always politely and kindly ... don't you think so?

I am the first who think they are wrong with their "non democratic" way to manage the forum (many posts of mine have been just closed because "unconvenient"), they have a very poor "customer care", they really need to consider everyones playing pleasure with appropriate game balance, they should think about selling power on a "supposed-to-be" a free to play game .... but all this can be discussed politely!

Please don't take it bad, but I had to say it ... for fairness sake!

I apologize, I'm just tired of the people (not naming names) who seem to sit around and think of ways to bash Tanki. So, I vent my frustration in the form of grammar Naziing (I made a new word  :D). I admit, though, that I should have used a lighter and more polite toungue.

Well done, someone FINALLY seeing above the differences to just shut up and enjoy the paper.

This is a bit of a false generalisation... We're not robots, we don't all act the same. And following on from that, many of us have our own good and bad opinions/views on the current progress of the game, the way it is managed etc., and agree with you 'kids' on many counts. We're simply doing our jobs to make a positive contribution to this community and to help to make the game/community a better place - it doesn't mean we must think Tanki is perfect, and we don't have to do so to appreciate the hard work of the developers up till now.

Oh, and also,

Of course, as a Tanki Reporter it's true that you're allowed to write articles showering the game with praise but that you're unable to do the opposite.

Nothing more to be said.

Please don't quote mine - the full version of what I said was...

Of course, as a Tanki Reporter it's true that you're allowed to write articles showering the game with praise but that you're unable to do the opposite. But the newspaper encourages balanced articles and critical feedback to what we write; and as I'm personally a fan of both of those things (i.e. I wouldn't want to shower the game with praise or dish out hate towards it in the first place), the newspaper has yet to limit my expression.

...so really, I couldn't care less that I'm allowed to write articles showering the game with undeserved praise and bias. I wouldn't do so anyway, nor would I do the opposite. Praise where it's due, criticism where it's due.

Don't judge all the staff under the same misguided brush. Let's not turn this into 'staff vs players'; because honestly, a lot of us are on your side.

Players first, volunteers second. And I personally prefer the term 'volunteers' over staff, because (like many staff) I feel we're not here to abuse our power or to argue with players about how brilliant the game must be, but we're here to help the game and community as much as we can.

^The Count Before the Tanki Online Staff Forum Game is the only place where we can abuse our powers and get away with it :P

Exactly, I hope you did not take my comment seriously, though it is extremely aggravating when somebody like Shad0w365, and you stratus, who constantly bring us down to 0.
