And who do you think are gonna be the next high ranks? The high ranks nowadays had to buy it from M0 to M3 , the next generation can just one click and save crystals.

If you are comparing SUCH old days, then also compare the costs....the cost of an m1+2+3 at that time was much lower than what it is now...

The game economy has changed since then..you cant blame anyone..

 

The old people have had their own advantages and the new age is also having its own advantages and disadvantages...

 

And the game has to have some changes to promote new players...else people will go around complaining that Tanki is loosing players...(I hope you know such topics on the forums)

I believe people consider one as a low rank until he is a major...then, until marshal, its mid ranked and then the high ranked..

When it looks good for a low ranker in tanki , there is other side , the secret side ....
* Real Low Rankers (Who aren't Alts) Tend to Buy Many M0s in their carrer , don't cost much though , but Spent is Spent .
* They have to Suffer before the Highly-Skilled Alts almost everywhere in Battles .
* The Directly Buying Update may Addict them , i.e , they tend to play with their M0s till they even get m2s where we reluctantly spent on m1s but earned Payback with nice scores with our upgraded Equipments .
* Low Rank means Low Graded Equipment , MUing them makes them useless Where High-Rankers can stay with Forever M4s.
* Low Ranked Life make Parkour Difficult but can be done although requires much more knowledge .
* Usually the Missions offering rewards are too low even to the standards of their ranks .
* Low Rankers are doesn't cared much in Most Important Contests .
* Certain Sections are Prohibited to create a Topic in Forum for low-rankers .

We Think of good , but certainly there is equal amount of bad to them :)

Man, I remember those days when I was a low rank. (Still kind of am) The year was 2011 when I joined. It was pretty hard back then. Back then, the most dominant combo to go for was Twins + Titan during lower rank battles. After getting the combo to M3 and reaching a certain rank, I would go for another combo that I always desired to get: Freeze + Viking + Python. Freeze back in the day was OP compared to the Freeze of today. Viking, to me was the well rounded tank. And Python looked cool and had cool protections.

 

But the problem back then was affording such things. The only way of ACTUALLY earning crystals was either camping for those crystal boxes (which btw I was good at) or be active for one day, then be unactive for a whole entire month and repeat the cycle. These ways would allow you to earn crystals without really ranking up, which at the time it was bad to rank up.

 

The chat back then was...well...better than what it is today to be honest. These days, most people in the chat act like little kids gone wild. Especially during the lower rank chats. The chats are 80% filled with messages such as: "You're such a noob" "You suck" "I got some (sensored) tonight" "asfdadfasf" "You hacker" "You drugger" "Are you a girl?" "(Some scam)" "Gold box drop?" and etc. Back in the day it was just pure scams or the good ol' "You're a noob" insults. But it had some decent conversations. Honestly, ignoring them in general didn't help one bit as they were a drop in the bucket compared to the ammount of other people that were just like him. *Looks at MadDog21* It only helped with people that play daily and you often see them around. This goes for both the old and the new era of tanki: the banning system for the people that ruin the chat for others didn't help either. Seriously, people that got banned for a certain amount of time, wouldn't care. They could either make a new account and proceed with their plan to ruin the chat or wait out the ban and simply do it again.

 

The battles back then compared to now both have their ups and downs. The whole supplies system is better than it was back in the day. But it's still annoying to deal with. The chat now has grown worse. The gameplay today has gotten A LOT better as there isn't many hackers & hacks going on as there were back in the day. Though, the lag is about the same. The battle fund system has grown better over the years BUT it still needs some work. The battle in general has improved but the problem with one sided domination is still an occuring problem. People still leave as they find no point to continue a losing battle, unactive players in the battle still lingering around, sabotage is still a thing and etc.

 

I find it funny how some people can start from recruit and get to generalissimo in a nick of time compared to me. Took me 4 years to reach the rank where I am today. I kind of miss the old Tanki graphics as well. It gave me some weird inspiration to battle and rank up as the changes in equpment look distinguishable. Now, a few of the current equiments are hard to tell from M0 to M3. And some overall look kind of bland. *looks at Twins* But this is just my opinion. I love seeing comments that gave me such nostalgia about the old Tanki, Keep it up!

Yes,it has become easier for low rankers to get Crystals and all the stuff , Thanks to the Updates in the recent months. But....

Daily mission rewards are low which makes it challenging :unsure:

It is the result of players joining your team also...initially, new players join both the team, but as one side starts to loose too much, that they think that they cant win now, they leave..and that's why you are left alone...

 

And btw, 'balance' doesn't mean only the balance in teams..its a much wider concept...It includes balance between different hulls, turrets, ranks, maps, battles etc...(battles here include the balance of weapon..that an m0 doesn't go facing an m2/3 guy)

 

yes iam aware of the balance thing but when you join a group and only 2 players are on one side and the other has more then your team and continue`s  to add when your team still  has less ..........i don`t get it..

 

 

 

also for those chats yea i do miss them enjoying tanking about food and what your plans were for the weekends and telling jokes even if they were clean you could type with out having to wait for the system to catch up now..

yes because i used titan, which was actually decent m1 until warrent officer 2... than things got hard because i had to wait a long time to get it m2 XD

If this ever happens, just visit the lobby once..you'll see that it shows a few people are in the your team also...

Actually, those people are refreshing the page, so they cant be removed from battle...we cant do anything about it..

However, it's an uncommon case...usually, people leave the battle...

Nevertheless, if you witness it, leave the battle and join another, or if its too frequent, then change the server you play in..;)

You are correct. I had to spend some of my Christmas money to actually get some of my M2's. However, I've been using my alt, and it's pretty easy to earn crystals. So yeah, I agree. Low rankers have it easy now-a-days.

Just after the rebalance, it was very hard for most players to catch up. I started in Feb 2013 - few months after the rebalance and yes, it was very tough back then to get M1s. I could barely afford the 'cheapest' M1s which were Firebird and Mammoth. But now in my alt, I have a decent WO3 garage with about 7 M1s.

Those varying crystal boxes, every 100 was like a mini gold box came to make every ones day better. Pity it only lasted a few days...

It was easier to save crystals qhen crystal boxes were around.

Specially in big maps like Berlin and Dusseldorf crystal boxes would remain unattended in remote places. I used ti love taking those. Also in Highland.
