  • Green Paint was the best
  • Pressing a button looking for a supply and exiting the browser :'(

Russian planes and tanks are not actually OP, I play them... That was just a very skilled player in the video.

I'm not talking about Russian bias, I am talking about lack of realism. Two jet fighters at something like 400-500 kph ram into a wooden biplane but nothing happens. Physics in the game is completely ridiculous, especially when it comes to tanks, which jump around, clip through things, etc.

What was skilled about the T-44 putting a shot into an immobilized Jagdtiger at pretty much point blank range? That's not the point though. Jagdtiger's upper casemate is 250mm effective, at that range T-44 can at best penetrate 230mm. And not only does he penetrate, but also sets the engine on fire even though the shot was nowhere near the engine. It turns out there were some lines in the code that made it so certain tanks could catch on fire even if the shot did not damage or the shrapnel went nowhere near the engine. Which tanks were these? Pretty much all Germans. Here is a post about it. Here is another video of a similar thing happening - AA shoots Ferdinand from the front and causes engine fire. It's allegedly fixed now, but the fact that it was in the game for years does not help reputation.

I'm not bashing on War Thunder, I'm just saying it's far from the "most realistic game in the world." Even if all the bugs and such were fixed, it would still be far from the level of realism that say, simulators offer.

When I was a nub, I thought there weren't M1's and I was only thniking the only way getting that is upgrading, this is what let me waste 1 year playing, then I created another account and I understood what to do.

I once asked a question here like 4 years ago but I forgot what it was, though I remember the context:

Basically I thought my M0 Firebird was upgraded so well to the point where I assumed buying an M1 would ruin the stats.

I didn't know what those boxes on the ground was for and avoided them like the plague. I thought they were there to blow up tanks, slow them down or something if you were dumb enough to run over them. Then I started seeing others pick them up and nothing happened to them, so I did too. I didn't notice the effects at first. Then one day a light bulb turned on in my head.

I absolutely freaked when I saw my first M1 in game, I had no idea when it was, and when I saw a M2 for with first time ( someone had the Stinger kit and I was like Sargent Major or lower) I pretty much worshipped the person for the entire game because I thought they were the best play in the entire game

- I had no idea what the white star (overdrive) was doing there. I thought it was something special, like I was playing a good battle

- I didn't understand why I couldn't cap the flag when our own flag was gone

- I had no idea I could use supplies by pressing 1, 2, etc

Good times...

I was like @Noghtfly on capping the flag. First time I was able to grab it was on Silence red. The other team had our flag. I don't know how many times I ran over our flag standard trying to cap. I thought I was lagging, which was a lot worse than it is now, so I dropped it on the standard. Still nothing happened. One of my teammates picked it up and hid. I hung around to see what I was doing wrong. Shortly, our flag was returned and my teammate capped.

I'll tell you that I still am a noob, but this back when I was a SUPER noob, back in 2017 when I played with a
different account.

1. Didn't use mouse controls (Seriously, how do people do better with regular controls than mouse controls? Maybe it's because of the other games that I play/played, but still!)
2. Thought Thunder shot electricity.
3. Everytime I got killed by a Magnum I thought it was a cannon that was a non-playable stationary weapon and can be activated by a person. The activator is classified as the one who killed the tank the cannon killed.
4. Hated Shafts. Now it's my favorite turret.
5. Thought Firebird and Freeze were the coolest turrets in the game. Now they are the bane of my existence.
6. Thought paints protected you certain weapons (As far as I know this is no longer the case today)
7. Thought Mammoth was the ugliest hull in the game due to its front-mounted turret. Now it's my favorite hull in terms of looks in the game, because of its front-mounted turret (Back then front-mounted turrets looked weird to me, now I think rear-mounted turrets look bad)
8. Played Vulcan.
9. Thought you get all of the battle fund.
10. Hated Isida. Now it's my second favorite turret.

legendary admin Please gold only  legend will understand

I'm not a Legend and I fully understand. This account doesn't reflect my Tanki career. I remember when blue boxes contained 10 crystals and Marshal was the highest rank achievable.

I remember the blue boxes too. I didn’t know much about the logistics of the game until much later, but I do remember 2013/14.

Anyway, ‘admin pls gold’ is still being used in some ranks...

I thought that the devs actually took feedback on the forum and the players on it would actually agree on something than squabbling on the most insignificant changes.
