Windows Vista -> Windows 10

Hello.

I have a problem with upgrading my Windows Vista to Windows 10.

Microsoft said that you can only get free Windows 10 upgrade, if you have Windows 7/8.1, but you should be able to get it on Windows Vista, I think..

When I open Windows 10 setup, or Media Creation Tool, this is what happens:

Windows 10 setup:

Media Creation Tool:

My computer specs:

Can you please help me to get Windows 10 on my computer.. :)

If u have a pen drive, download an iso image of windows 10, and download rufus. Using Rufus you can make your pen a bootable pen, and you can plug the pen to ur PC and install windows 10 to it.

For me windows 10 had a problem, each time I rebooted it went to a black screen. And it kept on doing this, I couldn't work and etc... So I'm back to windows 7. according to your specs not sure it would support. Because I got better specs than your still it got problems. 4gb ram i5 2.67 processor...

Good Luck!

Sorry man, I am 100% sure you can 't upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows Vista.

Only from Windows 7 and 8.

I think same too. If you want to upgrade you need to have Windows 7/8/8.1 to upgrade it to Windows 10.

This page proves that.

Sorry bout that. You probably cannot upgrade to windows 10 from windows vista. Only a clean install would help you.

Specs for windows 10:-

Latest OS:

Make sure you are running the latest version of either Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 Update.

Processor:

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC

RAM:

1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit

Hard disk space:

16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS

Graphics card:

DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver

Display:

800x600

If you really need windows 10 you will have to do a clean install of it wiping out everything in the computer. No one cannot assure the outcome, whether if you install it will work on the computer. Because still it is having problems, therefore you will have to have either a copy of another working OS. Therefore think carefully. :)

You will not be eligible for a free upgrade to Win10 RTM... Only genuine Win7/8/8.1 licenses are eligible for the free upgrade.  You can, however, remain in the Insider Program and continue receiving and using Win10 Insider preview builds.

Otherwise you will have to try and get a Windows 7 retail/upgrade license from someplace to upgrade your Windows Vista system.
