Hot question: Which piece in chess is more important? The bishop or the knight?

Depends on the position. To make a simple generalization, in a closed game where the center pawns are locked, the Knight becomes important (like Hammer or Ricochet on a small map). But if the center is open and there is room (large map), then the Bishop (Railgun) becomes more important. Chess has a dynamic structure, so the landscape may change at any moment.

 

General tip: about 50% of all endgame involve the rook, so you may want to look at that.

It does, but the rook is worth 5 points, which is more than the knight and the bishop...
