Replace normal item with XT item and keep the MUs

I've been thinking that instead of having the XT version and normal version of an item separate, they should both be combined. What I mean by this is when you click on an item that has an XT version of itself, there should be an extra button which enables the option to turn that item into its XT version for the price of 500 000 crystals with premium (http://prntscr.com/aplln8). After you have bought the option and turned the item into its XT version, the 'Turn To XT' button will be replaced with a new one which gives you the option to change it back to it's normal version for free (http://prntscr.com/aplmgp). Since that the option has already been unlocked, you can keep turning the item to both its versions for free as much as you want (http://prntscr.com/aplmxj).

Whilst editing the screenshots I noticed that the button I had in mind replaces the primary upgrade button, so I came up with a solution. The solution is to have a tiny button at the top right corner of an item's statistics and descriptions page which does the exact same thing (http://prntscr.com/aplodi). When you first click on it, it gives you the option to buy the XT version. After the XT version has been bought, when you click on the button it will turn the item into its XT version then back to its normal version once clicked again.

When hearing some feedback from some of my friends who I had shared my idea with, all the feedback was positive and I got a few questions too. The question I had been asked the most was 'Will the MU's of the normal version and XT version of the item be the same?'... Well... I'll leave that up to the TO developers :D

As you can see, this idea has nothing to do with personal benefits other than to make the garage look a bit more organised.

Here are all the screenshots again:

Thank you for listening to my idea and please do tell me if there's any way to improve it further.

This is a very nice idea. If this was implanted it would also be good to keep the MU count the same for both.

As XT's have no gameplay advantage, same MU prices, sale prices and the only difference is the look and 500,000 crystal price, I see no issue in this being implanted. Like Galaxy said, it would neaten up the garage nicely.

I was going to mention that point too but I didn't want to seem too pushy :D But honestly we pay like an extra 100k-200k just on an item that looks just a tiny bit different, we should at least have both versions to have the same amount of MU's.

Must be absolutely loaded and have more money than sense to pay 500,000 crystals for a bit of flashy gold that looks awful.  In my opinion that is.  It does nothing for the performance of the gear but does contribute to the Strutting Peacock Effect wonderfully  .  each to their own, I guess we all have our peculiarities. :)  Well not me of course.  :P

In my opinion the cost of an XT item should depend on how upgraded the normal version of the item is e.g. If you have Railgun M3 then Railgun M3 XT should cost less, if you have Railgun M0 then Railgun M3 XT should cost how much it already does. If you get what I mean.

If You have Railgun M3 and you get Railgun M3 XT ... System Should Remove Railgun M3 from Garage

Now that I disagree with... some people don't like the looks of the XT version of an item (even if it's just because they don't have an XT for themselves) or may like to switch between the 2 forms. In case someone doesn't like to show their friends that he/she is a buyer and lower their self-esteem, they can just switch between the 2 versions at whatever time they prefer!

You do not get it for free - you need to reach Generalissimo rank, spend crystals on Missions and get an XT one and then complete it with hard playing time ;)

I like this idea, and I also personally submitted it aswell :)

I spent 0 crystals to change missions for my XT :p (It was a free change on april fools)

You still need to invest a lot of time, so in that sense it isn't free.
