Bored? Here are some tips!

Here are some tips on what to do when you are getting bored of Tanki! I hope these tips help some people stay in Tanki, and have fun!! If you have a friend who says they might quit, or is quitting, show them this, maybe they will reconsider.  :)

Tip #1, Create a forum account:

Yes, yes, I know all (or most of you) viewing this already have one. This one is mainly for those who want to share this with friends. If you don't have a forum account and you are getting bored, that's certainly the first thing you should do. You can discuss updates, turrets, hulls, paints, and much more with other tankers on the forum, as well as do lots of other things. Whether it's counting to 1,000,000 or discussing the 40% Tanker's Day Sale, the forums rarely get boring.

Tip #2, Join a clan:

If you aren't in one already, joining a clan can definitely keep you busy. To be honest, I doubt I would still be playing Tanki today if it weren't for eSports. I created my own clan in May 2015, when I was just a lowly WO3, but we've grown from there and I've met many great friends along the way. One great things about clans is the commitment. Going to practices to play with your clan mates if fun, but wars especially. Clan wars are great fun, and I've been in some very heated, close, great ones. All in all, clans will help you make some great new Tanki friends! I've called with my friends in my clan for countless hours, and they are what keep me in the game. :)

Tip #3, Make a YouTube channel:

Especially if you are , creating a YouTube channel is a great choice. I created one a while back, and to be honest have had mild success for the work I've put into it. Advertising it well is a very, very important skill, so having a lot of TO friends is very important. Another thing you can do is collaboration vids, and editing is hard word but the finished product is always great. Happy editing to those interested!  ;)

Tip #4, Skype!!

Skype is really amazing in Tanki, whether it's to communicate with your clan in a group chat, have an announcements group where only the leader can post, or calling/video-calling your TO friends! I'm on Skype everyday, and it's an amazing tool and app. Playing Tanki while in a call with someone never gets old, and is a lot of fun (especially 1v1s). It's also a great tool for clan wars + practices when you need to communicate with your clan.

Tip #5, Create a nub account:

I need this recently, and it's a blast! Creating a second (or 'nub' account, as my friends and I call it) can be a lot of fun, especially when your rekting those noobs in the low ranks and catching golds with ease! Another way to make this fun is to create second (or third) accounts with your friends, and play with them on the same (or opposite) teams. It's a whole lot of fun, and me and @LightTankKitM3 do it all the time!!

That's all I'm going to do for now, stay with Tanki, and happy tanking!!

I'm not even a high rank yet but I have multiple alts so when I get bored and need more variety of turrets to play on, I use them. I am looking forward to clans and YT too.

Anyway good post.

The problem with alts is that when you play against people who are new to this you likely are turning new players away.

I think back to my early days and some of the drug raids I saw at low ranks and now I suspect those people were just higher ranking players using alt accounts. I almost gave up because of that, but, I rarely ever give up until I reach a goal. Sadly, I wonder how many others thought the game was too hard and never returned.

It's a double edged sword - you wan to try out a new career, but, because of the skills you already have it's very easy to fight the new players.

I still would have just quit for a while even after reading this. :)

Btw, most low ranked players aren't exactly new now. They are mostly alts of some high ranked dude. Sometimes they play poorly for fun. The way they move and drug is a tell tale sign.

Also they show up with OP low ranked kits from time to time.

Takeovers sometimes are common in low ranks, especially in 1 hour battles.

Nah, not really. When I'm bored I will click the X button. I don't want to hate tanki after time so when I don't have to play Tanki I will do ( or play :D) something else
