Hey guys,I am sure that all of you have seen the infamous/famous gold-catching hull glitch onto all the other tanks and take the gold.Something which hunter,viking,titan,mammoth,hornet and wasp are incapable to do.In this topic we will come up with possible theories/solutions for this glitch to increase fairness for other tankers who do not have dictator. In my last topic relating to dictator we discussed about its colliders.My guess is that due to whatever collider is used to make dictator is the reason why it can climb on other tanks so easily.I have also experienced dictator m2 myself on the test server (that time the test servers were not lagging at all) and I have seen it myself how it climbed on other tanks.Any audience who has experience using dictator in the "old tanki" and "current tanki" please tell us if dictator climbed on other tanks with the same efficiency or not.

I have tried it in the test server and it just doesn't feel right.High turning speed+relatively low speed=weird dictator feeling=viking have better feeling

dic is the best for catching golds & thats the reason why its popular & tanki is trying to balance everything so they wont do anything that might reduce the popularity of hull

they should give it a new nickname, like tator, cuz damn dic is weird to say....

I just whipped out my dic and got a few golds

they couldn't handle the power and durability of my dic

the gold was mine because of my dic's length!

It is sometimes because of lag, I play with my door closed so I lag, and I then climb onto tanks like they were a ramp or something.

its not a bug & this might not be there in unity cuz the tank physics will be different

Yeah, because it's the main reason people use Dictator: to catch easy golds. If you jack the hit-box up, it becomes useless.

I highly doubt they devs will change Dictator. Whether it's a good or bad idea.

Dictator is basically a box. It's 1st part is much better than it seems, so maybe that's why it's glitchy.

Your correct it is just a big hit box basically. This problem will be solved in Unity Tanki, it may even take away Dictators Gold hunting powers, but that is doubtful due to its size.

 

 

Back in 2012-2013 it hardly ever lagged onto other tanks. Dictator was my main hull then and I never experienced it.  Then again the Gold dropped different then, its lags only seemed to come in a bit before predictable drops.

 

 

Then again most players make themselves lag, if I want I could make a Mammoth get onto all the tanks if I want. When Gold falls you'll see about half the battle glitching around, then once its taken back to normal. They lagged themselves to try and take the Gold. But some lag though it due to a bad connection. :LOL:

I have all hulls m3 except hunter and titan, i know what are you talking about. :D

Dictators size, the height or its rear, and some lags makes it the best for gold hunting. I can easily get on top of others with perfect connection too.

Hes not talking about its shape. hes talking about the glitch that when two tanks are pushing against each other, one will pop on top of the other. Everyones seen it happen, but it happens very easily to dictator, which gives it another advantage in gold box situations

I think the main reason this happens is because Dictator is a bigger hull, so when two tanks are inside one another, Dictator gets pushed on top, since it's the most efficient way to push the two tanks apart without making them lag even more. What needs to be changed is the way tanks behave when they lag into one another, but the current mechanics seem to be best as they separate the tanks quite smoothly.

Back then if two tanks were to spawn on the same spot, they would materialise inside one another and it would be almost impossible to come apart. The only way to escape was to self-destruct.

The only uses for Dictator are as a parkour ramp, and a gold box catcher k. Might as well leave it as it is.  ;)
