Minimise in-game name tags to prevent obstruction

We all know how annoying it is when you're aiming at an enemy and then someone from your team gets in the way. However, they don't make it harder by going in front of the enemy, but because of their unnecessarily massive name tags.


 


I suppose others than me get this problem occasionally, so why not improve it?


 


My solution is, if you need to know if someone is on your team or not, you can always have a Red / Blue spot or a miniaturized name tag, and it doesn't have to take so much space at the expense of your kills.

Sometimes you'd need to know where team is and whether the tank is in your team or not.

 

- Your idea needs a bit more explaination on what you intend it should be like.

Never really had this problem before. Yes, removing nicknames would help, but I think knowing the name of the player you are looking at is more important.

For players like me who need to make my screen 50% smaller for it to run at an adequate FPS, big nicknames and a small screen aren't a good combination when using Shaft or other long-range weapons. But if that's not the case for others, then I guess this was heading for a crash anyway.

Tankers use long complicated nicknames so that voting/reporting them is next to impossible. yes they do block up the screen, but nicks do need to be there.

 

Bring back click & vote system!
