Remove Inactive Accounts

            Tankers that have quit Tanki or haven't played for more than a year, then their account nickname will be avalible again so tankers can have a wider nickname options. The account will lose all xp gagrage and be competely avalible for a new tanker to use. Hope you like this idea! Please Upvote!

However, what would happen if someone bought crystals, then left the game, and returned a few years later to find his account deleted? This would not be fair at all, to have spent real money only to have the virtual goods be deleted by the game.

What if you were a Generalissimo who returned to the game after a year or so, and found that his account had been deleted? This would not be fair either. 

I myself have taken multiple year long breaks from this game; I quit after the first re balance several years ago and only returned over the summer. If my account had been deleted... well, I would have been upset and probably wouldn't have returned to tanki even though my account was ranked barely above recruit. (I did have a higher account that's password mysteriously appears to have been changed, fortunately I had a lower ranking account)

There is almost no way in which this update could be fair to all players. 

In my opinion, the only way this could work is if all accounts that were ranked below Private and were used more than two years ago were deleted. Anything more than this would just be unfair. 

I do have hopes that when Unity comes out, we will be able to use names that were already taken on the Flash Version of Tanki.

I'm personally not a fan of this idea, but this "idea" will probably happen in some way when Unity comes as inactive players will not transfer/make new accounts in Unity.

I like how you think, but I don't like the idea 100%. I may quit Tanki one day, but I'm sure, 4 or 5 years (or one day) later, I might wanna check back in with Tanki and see how my account is doing. I wanna quit knowing my account is waiting for my return. Google doesn't delete inactive accounts, why should we? :P

The administration has the right to remove an account after it hasn't been used for a few years, but there is no point wasting time on it. The only good thing that comes out of this is that "cool nicknames" will be available, which isn't really a benefit to the game. In fact, what will probably happen is once the inactive accounts are deleted, there will be a few people, who will register thousands of "cool" account names on the first day and try to sell them for money, thus you probably won't get the name you wanted if you miss it by a few days.

 

Also this has been suggested before and developers said that it will never happen.

1. The higher your rank - the longer your account needs to be inactive to become available for someone else to take.
2. Any account with purchased crystals will become available only three full years after the latest purchase.
3. If the account is linked to an e-mail address, the owner will receive an e-mail if someone else tries to take their name. If the owner then enters the game within a week of the email, their Tanki acc will be safe.
4. If all else fails and someone takes your account name, it will still be possible to recover your account (garage, achievements, etc.) and give it a different nickname via the help desk.
5. Obviously, if someone registers a nickname that became inactive, they do not get any garage items or achievements that the previous owner of the nickname had.

To be honest I've taken a very long break from Tanki too, for maybe even over a year and just came back late last year which is why my account is around 5 years old yet still I'm not Generalissimo xD

Shouldn't be deleted... If a user is super inactive his nickname is automatically changed to a special ID name, something like "Inactive_User_0025", and once the owner returns he gets a message saying that his name was removed due to inactivity, and has a option to choose a new nickname for free :)
