Change in forum feedback mechanism

We have just reworked the feedback mechanism in the forums.

 

You can still LIKE posts. However, from now on, if there’s something you disagree with, you will have to express your criticism in the form an actual post.

 

Why did we do this?

 

Because the forum is where you come to express your opinions, as well as give your feedback and critique — it’s a place for open discussion.

 

But when that feedback is just a DISLIKE button, there’s no dialog. There’s no way of understanding what the criticism is about, and no way of acting on it to make the situation better.

 

A simple DISLIKE button does not improve the discussion, and it does not make the community or the game a better place.

 

We hope this change will help improve dialog in the forum, for all the above reasons and more.

 

Please feel free to share your opinions about this change by leaving a comment below. As always, the more detailed your feedback, the more helpful it will be.

We all now that it's all because of the 481 dislikes (perhaps even more) that were given to the Tanker's Day topic.

 

Unsurprisingly, Tanki does another step to shut our mouths.

 

Semyon, I don't know if you did this decision or you just published it, but whoever it is - your logic is garbage.

Simple logic proves that the same can be said on LIKEs: there's no dialog! There's no way to understand what all the good feedback is about!

 

You can lie to us and yourselves, but deep inside you know that Tanki is becoming a dollar (ruble?) hunting dictatorship which oppresses more and more the freedom of expression. A year from now, posting something against an update will get us banned.

 

Shame on you. It's not even disgust that I feel now. It's just sorrow, that you could sink to such a low level. Sorry, I just didn't think you would. My mistake, and I'll know from now on not to believe something's gonna ever get better in Tanki. I must admit - when I entered the Forum and saw in the Developer's News section a new title which wasn't about the personal discounts (another lie, by the way - nor me neither any of my many friends have gotten any Equipment Tests, but that's a different subject), I thought that finally something new was gonna get in the game, something good for a change. Then, when I actually read the words, I thought that I might have been right.

 

And then I read the topic and shook my head in disbelief. Seriously, even had I smoked weed and injected Heroine and sniffed Cocaine, my hallucinations would have been better than that.

Less than 1/4. Changing forum vote system and fixing lags are two different jobs: web programmer and programmer. So, no worries.

Leave the lags alone.. They are a huge problem, but I'm not even surprised when one more thing gets screwed up in-game. I am damn surprised that you, or whoever made the decision to implement the update, could sink to such a level. I don't know, maybe I'll get a ban for what I've said, but I don't regret it. 

 

If it isn't you who does the decisions, and you're only the unlucky guy that tells us about them - please pass it to the Marketing Staff. I understand Russia is now (for several reasons) in deep economical problems, I know that the Ruble is sinking deeper than a diver into the void with no value whatsoever, but I think that what you guys have done and the continuous ruining you're putting the game through didn't help you, and won't help you in the future either.

 

You just managed to get the entire community (except for the Mods and Helpers who worry for their wages) against you. Bad as your state may be, what you've done wasn't a wise step, and you're gonna see the consequences sooner or later.

Sorry to say, but the dumb guy is you. In this particular case at least. I don't wanna get you and some others out of the bubble you live in, but Tanki is long since not a paradise. 

 

Do you seriously think Tanki staff reads our feedback? If I were Tanki Staff, I'd barely read any comment, since there are so many. Downvoting and Upvoting was their method to see bluntly how what they were doing was liked or not, and removing Downvotes for the reason Semyon mentioned is just impossible. They're oppressing us, and if you think otherwise - think again. 

 

If you STILL think that we aren't being oppressed - tell me what you're smoking now. I'll go buy it from my drug dealer.

You don't need to be mean. and why would I quote the entire page that irritates me when others do that so why would I? I am not dumb if anything I was making a solid point! Why must you act like a smartypants? yes that would work but it's irritating to others who have to scroll through it.

It's amazing - one forum update and suddenly the Tanker's Day sale has an amazing 120+ approval rating. It implies the sale had a universal approval.

 

Because it's retroactive it eliminates all of the negative feedback across the board on every forum - EN, RU, etc. - making it appear the community supports every update and every article.

This is so perfect! Oh my gosh, every bully that has ever haunted this site logged in this morning to find that their favorite pastime, downvoting everything, is now impossible. Yet open discussion and the ability to voice one's opinion is still here. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

 

I think that the only way this forum could be made better is if it handed you a large plate of blueberry muffins when you log in.
