mammoth m3 or viking m3?

ok i cant deside on wether to get m3 viking or m3 mammoth in 2.0....at first i was gunna get m3 viking and m3 thunder (thats my gun of choice) with prodigi paint...then i started thinking bout how good mammoth is with its health....so wat should i get...m3 viking or m3 mammoth? (with thunder m3 and prodigi paint)

Well, then if you bought M3 Mammoth then M3 Viking would draw your attention back and so you would wanna get M3 Viking and regret your choice of M3 Mammoht earlier.

I have no experience with mammoth other than playing against it, but there are some setups I don't like to see on the opposing side.

 

mammoth with thunder is not excessively awesome IMO, but still an exceptional PITA. I personally hate seeing Mammoth with the M3 ricco or M3 freeze combo. The thunder units seem to be a little more reliant on the team to move forward, whereas the freeze and ricco units can just walk through the opposition. Mammoth with Ricco and freeze are also very effective flag grabbers when drugged, where the thunder mammoth can just be blocked by the opposition because it is so slow and the opposing team can use the guns self inflicting splash damage against itself.

 

M3 Thunder on a viking or dictator is pretty nasty too. Units have the speed to move behind cover pretty quickly and wait for recharge, take a good amount of damage if necessary and work well as flag grabbers because of their speed/HP at M3.

But Mammoth is a large tank, therefore, making it easier to get hit. The Hp of the Mammoth is used to compromise its size. As for Viking, its Hp and speed is balanced. For Hornet, its Hp is compromised for its speed. So every tank has its weakness it just depends on how you use them properly to get the best effects out of it.

You know, M3 Mammoth is going to take people about 2 months to save up. If they play 2 hours a day, earning 50 crystals an hour. :|

That's because you are a much higher level than her. Once she gets to first lieutenant or captain or whatever level you are now, she will get just as many crystals as you are getting now if not more. But you do bring up a good point, at the levels it takes to get m3 mammoth, the battle fund does go up faster resulting in more crystals for everyone.

Why is it every time I post you either make a completely obvious statement in reply or post content that has nothing to do with what I just wrote in reply?

 

You are just stating the obvious here. And size is really not mammoths largest "weakness", it is speed. Hence the reason why I don't worry excessively about a thunder gun mounted on a mammoth unless there is an isidia walking behind it. The self-inflicting splash damage is a problem when your speed challenged. At 5.0 mps top speed minus drugs, almost any tier 2 unit can block you from getting to a flag and let you assist in killing yourself. Put a Freeze or ricco on that HP beast and the only damage you are taking is from the opposing team.

 

Very few mammoth owners that have any clue present the units broadside and turn the turret to the opposing team, but rather "face" the target making it a much smaller area that you can "hit".

I think you need to check your math

 

50 crystals / hour * 2 hours = 100 crystals

 

100 crystals * 60 days = 6000 crystals.

 

Going to take a whole lot more than 60 days at that rate to get an M3 Mammoth without a crystal purchase.

well as soon as it comes out i can affrd m2 mammoth with m2 thunder or m2 viking and m2 thunder....so i cant make up my mind on wether to get m2 mammoth or m2 viking. i was told by alot of pple to get viking m3 with thunder m3 and prodigi and thats wat i was gunna get but then i started thinkin about the health that m3 mammoth has....so should i just go with m3 vik and m3 thunder with prodigi?

m3 hornet is way better than either viking or the mammoth, but I have to say, viking upgrades badly, even m3 is not too much better than m0 compared to the way m3 mammoth is better than m0 or m3 hornet is better than m0. So in m3 mammoth v m3 viking I would say m3 mammoth, but m3 hornet is better than either.

Even tho the hornet is pure awesome in the term of speed, it lacks HP badly.
