But yeah the PREMIUM PAINT really needs a nerf. 10% protection, not 20%.

or 12%, but 20% is too much, cause it protects against all turrets and MINES.

 

Way to go, Premium accounts don't need paints.

Just pay, and you'll get same/better paints as others who put in such hard work to get Champion/Acid paint, etc.

 

+ Overpowered supplies. Buyers become GodMode_On.

I see many tankers, sensible ones, who don't just shout for every update needlessly, just going totally against this one. And I understand the current situation. Premium accounts are just too much of an advantage to buyers, as kits and supplies are.

 

Also, the current 'war' is more to do with the fact that tankers have kept their own feelings to themselves during bad updates, and are just unable to take it any more. Also,the issue raised is a relevant one, as Tanki has neglected non buyers in the recent updates, and non buyers being the majority, the tension is high. Also, the behaviour of some of the moderators gives more food for thought to the current game economy and ethics.

 

I myself have noticed many comments against the topic being unnecessarily hidden and censored. Also, a lot has to do with the change in the forum feedback mechanism, now denying direct negative feedback and only enforcing positive feedback. Due to this, tankers are feeling censored and controlled and controlled to give only positive feedback.

 

Also, many tankers are under the assumption that tanki has changed the feedback mechanism so that this new update will not receive much flak. If the above is true, then for sure players will leave. The current situation is one to be handled with much care between the developers and players, as during the last updates, the players have remained silent, hoping for better.

 

But this update, which most players rightly beleive, will benefit buyers heavily, has lit the bomb. Tanki management has hard work to come, as their chances are over.

Yeah, I think the players have had too much control over updates in the past, and they find it hard to give that up (I know I do)

 

Tanki has a great relationship with the community, which is both a great thing and a horrible thing, but that's another thing I love about tanki

We believe we control everything that happens in Tanki, but thats not entirely true. 

Yes, Tanki is the company and we are the customer, but there needs to be a balance of community input and developer input into the game

 

Other games don't seem to care about what the player want, so when a bad update comes out its stay or leave, no debate.

 

 

We need constructive critisism, not just NO PREMIUMS!!!! Ideas that will not only give players what they paid for, but a fair and even game

We have produced tons of constructive criticism, game feedback and multiple solutions for a bunch of game issues. What we didn't see is that "great relationship with the community" you mention. What we saw was ... nothing. Absence of Administration and in the rare occasions they showed up, it was only to treat us ironic comments.

Is there any better proof that this game doesn't care at all what the players want?

What you refuse to understand is that when players are happy, they just continue playing the game (at most go to the forum and leave a like), but when they are unhappy they go and leave complaints in the topic. So basically there are a few hundred people complaining on the forum, while the rest of the players (thousands of them), who are happy with this update, are just playing the game as usual and they have no need to go and leave positive comments on the forum.

 

Pardon me, but have you considered that quite a large number of players are not happy; but simply continue the game until their frustration reach a tipping point?

If the "leaving rate" is the measure you take... then the daily peak rate on the servers should make Tanki listen. I started here 1 year ago, and the peak rate was about 120k each day. today its between 60 and 80k.

 

And pardon me if I ask you again - you must have missed my first question.. np, you have much to work volunteer this days.

like he (hazel) already said making varying protection level for different ranks increases the complexity of the coding, which btw is a nightmare with this flash thing and the reason why there's this other whole unity thing coming up, which requires less complexity to accomplish similar tasks.

Honestly... they can simply define 3 paints, all looking the same but having different level of protection.

They unlock at 3 different rank levels and each of it cost 0 crystals; available only to premium users.

Making it this way requires next to no code change.

Why not remove XT turrets/hulls from shop and be in missions. But make it 25% more chances to get in missions. Also allow them to go in pro pass battle without pro pass. It will be equally fair for both buyers and non buyers!

i cannot understand one thing.if tanki had to let people have the xt stuff from buying premium accounts and stuff? why did they not tell us about this before we spent millions of crystals trying to find the XT mission?

It is a move to get more funding and its a smart move.

 

Personally, I think trying to find new ways to get players to spend real money on the old Flash Tanki, whilst continually promoting the new Unity Tanki, is very strange indeed.  Though I guess this is paving the way for how things will be in Tanki Unity.

 

The old Tanki has so many technical, as well as gameplay, issues that it is no wonder that perhaps only a minority spend real money on it at the moment.

 

You may find that if Unity Tanki turns out to be an awesome game graphically and technically (and I personally can't wait to play it!), and it is not horribly imbalanced between buyers and non-buyers - more people may be willing to put their hands in their pockets for cosmetic items (and maybe unique content too) without having to sell 'power' as much (which creates more imbalance, in turn putting many players off and so things start spiralling downwards again).

 

At the moment, with bugs, hackers, mults, imbalanced games, etc. plus the fact that Flash is getting past it's sell by date (from what I've read) and you almost certainly won't be able to transfer accounts to the new one, it's like trying to get people to pay for second hand faulty goods that may only have a short shelf life - that's why it's probably harder to get people to spend real money these days IMO.

 

I realise though that it doesn't really matter what I think, because I am a forum member and therefore in the minority... :P

Just thought I would share MY opinion on Premium Accounts

 

I believe this will be a great update for Tanki, but with a few tweaks.

My view on what a premium account should be is that it gives the player advantages that don't affect other players or gameplay, such as XP and Crystal boost, XT availability and perhaps special discounts.

But here is what I propose should be changed

 

Firstly, the paint. Yes, Give them a premium paint. No, don't give it protections. There are players out there who have worked hard all their Tanki career to get to the top. They finally get into star series and earn one of the 4 protection paints given out. They go join a battle and see a player that has just started with a paint just as good as his. To me, not only does the awesome look of the paint make it special, but the epic protections that come with it. Also, 20% protection makes a difference. I have been playing with helper since I got it and I found it really helpful in battles. I think that 10% protection would be fair, but anything more makes all other special paints not worth trying to get.

 

Secondly, Make XT's available 2 ranks after the M3 becomes available and make them more expensive. This still keeps XT's rare, but then again gives the premium users the change to buy them. They don't give an advantage in battles, as their stats are identical to their M3 brothers, so buyers won't "rule" the battles with these.

 

Please don't hate on me. This is all MY opinions and ideas on how both players and tankers will get what they want. Don't go quoting me saying your wrong, your supporting them just because your a Wiki Editor and all that jazz. this is what I honestly think, and I hope you accept it and maybe even agree :)

They have listened, its been deducted. If it proves too OP I'm sure they will nerf it further.

 

In the mean time be thankful progress has been made :) Maybe if we keep trying we can actually make this update work for everyone :)
