Upcoming Team Tournament

Shortly about what I saw at first of comment pages.

* I would say, 90% of those guys whose complained about formats are newbies in Tanki, yeah their rank might be Genn, but that means nothing.


It's been years of Medium, then Light and months of Hard format in tanki. It's time change it!


(Actually few days ago wanted to make topic that we need some tournament with CP mode and some new formats)


My feelings about this upcoming tournament:

* New formats (Good and old XP/BP,  remember DD match in Barda CP, will be exciting)
** Maps (Happy to see that we won't need to play in old maps again, again and again)
*** Paint (Glad, Acid or new one, doesn't matter... Players have got good motivation)

Let's see how this is gonna work out!

I played 5 or 6 DCs so far, placed 2nd and 3rd a few times.

 

Here's the biggest problem.  CHANGE IS ON.

Constantly people are changing garages and paints and it turns into who has a nice garage game.  We take vulcan they take graffiti, thunder go africa, smoky go savannah, rail go raccoon, etc. etc. etc.

 

That's how teams like Vavilon are winning, because they have full garages, and they change to all their combos and we end up losing by one or two flags.

 

What's really nice is that here the paints are off in the CTF format, which already minimizes a lot of this problem, but if change can be off, just like it was during the hardstyle tournament, especially in the CP mode where paints are on, I think that would be the best idea.  It would require advance tactical planning.

 

Hoping to see this addressed in this tournament :)

Agreed.

 

Also, a limit of certain weapons would be good.  All weapons allowed, but to an extent.

see the BBB (big bigger biggest tournament) where you will find a stage where the paints are 100% balanced.

See the "SET" equipment. Stage

You will see: dedicated paints (only for one type of weapon ). If your coleg use a paint against rail, you are not allowed to use rail paint. If you use the smoky paint, another coleg (from your team) is not allowed to use paint for smokey...and so on... Olso ,the hulls and guns !

It's a perfect balance settings where the main point it's the team skills ,not the items or rank !

Just look over BBB or HW/LW tournament.

Time limit : 18 Minutes [3 Minutes Preparation Time and battle starts at 15:00 Game Time]

Supplies : OFF
Smart Supplies : N/A
Private battle : ON
Auto-balance : OFF
Auto-finish : OFF

Turrets from "set"
Hulls - from "set"

-Each match consists in tow rounds (Red/Blue- automatic swipe side)
-Each round will be set at 18 (3 minutes preparing and 15 battle) Battle start when clock reach 15:00 (Game Time)
-Maximum reset rounds : 2 resets
- In preparing time battle ( 3 min), both team must form a line for check"set"

- The maps has 3 control points ABC and are symmetrically
-Total points from both rounds will be the total score and the winning team will be the team with highest score: ( In case of drawn, the 3th round will go but counting points will be the total points from Round 1&2)

Example for winning :
Round 1 | Team X vs Team Y = 80 - 45
Round 2 | Team X vs Team Y = 10 - 55
Total round 1+2 - team X ( 80+10 = 90 points)
Total round 1+2 - team Y ( 45+55 = 100 points)
Winner : (Team Y)- with total points - 100
(Yes, team X win first round but overall has less points)

Example in case of drown:
Round 1 | Team X vs Team Y 70 10
Round 2 | Team X vs Team Y 40 100
After tow rounds each team has equal points (110 points)
Round 3 | Team X vs Team Y 80-66
The winner of Round 3 will go further with Sore 110 (Team X ,because they win round 3)

General Team Settings:

-Main team Players : Each Player will use one Hull/Turrets/Paint from "Set"
2. General "Equipment Set" Info:

-Hulls Allowed : Wasp,Hornet,Hunter,Viking,Dictator,Titan
-Turrets Allowed : Smoky,Firebird,Twins,Railgun,Isida,Thunder,Freeze,Ricochet,Hammer,Vulcan.
-Paints Allowed : Flora,Marine,Swamp,Forester,Metalic,Lava,Invader,Safari,Dragon,Magma.
(Only "Single Protection" Paints )

-Example of right combo:
Player 1 - Hunter/Rail/Forester unique set
Player 2 - Wasp/Hammer/Lava unique set
Player 3 - Titan/Vulcan/Dragon unique set
Player 4 - Hornet/Freeze/Marine unique set
Player 5 - Dictator/Isida/Swamp unique set
Player 6 - Wiking/Smoky/Metalic unique set

-Is prohibit to have two items identical : Hulls/Turrets/Paints. Once you use an item from set, the item can not be use anymore.

-Example of wrong combo: (red marks means wrong combo)
Player 1 - Hunter/Rail/Forester
Player 2 - Hunter/Hammer/Lava - Hull belong to Player 1
Player 3 - Titan/Vulcan/Dragon
Player 4 - Hornet/Isida/Metalic - Turret belong to Player 5
Player 5 - Dictator/Isida/Swamp
Player 6 - Wiking/Smoky/Dragon - Paint belong to Player 3
(Reserve Player : All reserve players how join as substitute , must have the same "set" as player how substitute for)

I don't want offend somebody but in my opinion , Hard Style tournament was not about team skills  ( not 100% ) The small details was the real factors for a strong team....  

 

: luck  - if i play with rail and in my face is a player how use no rail paint = boom !  ( also , all combination)

: timing luck : if i use a repair kit and then i get support from isida until  my coldown allowed me to use again a repair kit = boom! 

: unlucky time and place : if i use a paint against thunder,fire and freeze , and i get 2  shoots from rico and 1 from rail = boom!

etc

etc

 

balanced game is when everybody use the same power for hull/gun/paint - no drops !

Light format is there for a reason.

 

- the balanced game in raport with speed/defend /slow/attak

 

The XP/BP is there for a reason.

 

A perfect power (any power) and the skills and the tactic of team meter.

 

So , is boring but is equal.

whne is start tornament and where is means sltv or forum

in couple of days you will see a topic forum with 3STYLE tournament ( registration, rules ,settings, table )  in EVENTS forum ,after that you have few days to register you team or in a team.

we aren't starladder and we don't bother with things such as "mains" or "subs".  All we care about is having a captain with whom we can interact with and a secondary go-to person in case the captain is unreachable.

 

as for the number 7, that's a minimum of 7 players required.  so, expect and prepare for some 7 vs 7 games :)
