Less battle choice at higher ranks

As I reach a higher rank there seems to be less choice on the servers. Has anyone noticed this?

People are always playing the same maps - polygon (usually CP), rio, noise, serpuhov, kungur, hill, island, highways...

Idk, it's getting boring and it seems like people play certain maps all the time to earn crystals.

Anyone else find lower ranks more fun?

I think there's still enough variety at higher ranks. There are enough battles with different maps to choose from in my opinion. Indeed some maps are more popular than other ones, but on the servers RU1, RU2, RU3 and RU4 I think there's enough variety for the higher ranked tankers.

Not worth playing in them if they aren't Pro Battles though...

It is, all I see is Silence, Serpuhov, Kungur and Polygon.

But at the low ranks it not much different. There are just more of them.

I really realized this when making a Shaft review. I ended up in Serpuhov or Kungur most of the time without really noticing it.

Tanki hosts so much more maps, It's sad because some of them are really good and have nice gameplay.

The biased choice of maps made developers remove some unpopular ones a while ago.

And that is very unfortunate.

But what can you do about it?

Go ahead and try to start a Novel or a Solikamsk... You'll probably be the only one there.

Mostly because people tend to join the more filled maps... *cough* Polygon, *cough* Silence...

Not even Silence. Anyways, RU server may be the way to go, for you at least. But then again, about 75% of people in RU server are hardcore druggies; and that's not fun.

While I agree that it would be nice to see more diversity in the maps played by high rankers, there is definitely value in having certain maps be more commonly played than others. Players get to know the ins and outs of these maps, leading to more interesting, tactical gameplay.

Definitely is much less variety the higher you go.  Not nearly as bad as it was over the summer.  For a few months before daily missions were introduced it seemed like people were only playing awful but high efficiency maps like polygon and noise.  Now you can reliably see some rio, Serpuhov, tribute, and kolhoz.  I think vulcan and ease of raiding killed off madness at some point.

What TO can do is host events. Like they did with the 5k GB on a random map. Many different maps began to show up and it was very nice.

It really depends on the servers you go on, as you go through the ranks, you move up in server numbers too e.g.

you start playing in EN7, and as you move up to generalissimo, you'll only find battles in EN1.
