Myths and rumours answered

I knew there was a flaw in my comparison... :D

Another try...

There was a patient with a failing heart.

Once it was a nice man who really was the talk of the town.

He was very adventureous, generous and made a lot of friends.

Unfortunately he became sick and because he had a failing heart combined with a bad

condition there wasn 't much that the doctors could do for him anymore.

The company the man had always worked happened to be involved in medical research

and development.

The company needed someone to volunteer for a cloning experiment and was searching

for a person with a short life expectancy, because they were going to use new, not thoroughly

tested medicines during the procedure.

So it was quite logical that the company and the man who never had a child but always had

wished for one, soon agreed to go on the (much disputed) journey of making a clone of the man.

(the direction of the company ofcourse also liked the idea of having a possible new employee in

the future which would be just as good or maybe even better for their business)

Having state of the art equipment to their disposal the doctors of the company decided to

also put a new bio-technically improved heart into the embryo and they made some

alterations to the original DNA.

Ofcourse this became heavily morally disputed, but in the end after solving some legal

issues it was given the approval and the also very expensive medical procedure began.

They found a surrogate mother just in time and after nine months a new baby was born.

The man, now a new sort of father decided to call the baby Uni-Ty, which in the native tribe

he originally came from meant "brave son".

As time went on the man with his failing heart was slowly fading away.

Soon most people and the company even forgot about him: only his old friends

still payed him a visit...to be all startled how fast the man 's condition deteriorated...

After a visit they were pretty sad, also because they still remembered the good ol' days when they

embarked on great adventures with the man and truly enjoyed each others company.

All attention now went instead to Uni-Ty. It was soon clear that he was very intelligent for his age

which was another success of the experiment. The slight changes to the original DNA clearly

had the wanted effect.

And the improved heart meant that he became quite musculair at a young age

and he could play on for hours at an end.

Due to the whole story Uni-Ty soon became a very popular child.

People from all over the world.....

I could continue here, but it 's getting late and I think I made a better comparison this time... ;)

There were two islands separated by the sea so an entrepreneur built a link between them. The function of this bridge was simple. Provide a means in which islanders could cross.

People were given vehicle to cross in which they could upgrade over time for free or instantly with cash. Some of the cash was used to pay for the bridge's maintenance and upkeep and all was fine. Time passed.

The bridge company was very successful and profitable but ultimately, they could see the inevitable demise and collapse of this old crossing and decided to build a new, improved structure. It was lovely to look at, stronger and fancier but essentially provided exactly the same function as the old bridge which by this time was run-down and dilapidated.

With the new crossing built, there was a grand opening. (There were balloons). Users turned up on-foot and in their precious vehicles in which they invested so much in. The people on foot were given a basic vehicle and allowed access but everyone in an existing vehicle was given a spit-guard and denied permission to cross.

These people, the most loyal islanders whose cash or commitment made the bridges possible in the first place, were told to either disembark and use the basic stock vehicle being offered or to turn around and take your chance on the now neglected and seaweed-ridden route.

Feeling isolated and betrayed, with little or no recourse, the loyal ...

To be continued...

Bro update 123 was almost 3 years ago.  That hill must be super long to go down it :o  Also part of going down that hill weirdly involved having gone up a mountain of success as well !?!?

Nothing after that except introduction of Hammer and Vulcan was good enough. Check the server load graph at Tanki `s bottom page, has not it decreased drastically from like 100k to 50-60k? Today is Sunday yet still just 65k players? You talk about sales, 40% at tanker`s day? Are you kidding me? It is a fact that tanker`s day is 50%. HELL to Tanki`s economy we don`t care the game is already drowned . You know why they did 40%? It is because of the 5x funds . Everyone got so many crystals , Even I collected 100k , So they thought that they should make it 40% to balance the economy. They are such little kids , they even shut down the EN broadcast so as not to make so many viewers watch it so that no 5x funds. Seriously?? Nice doing. Probably we all are going to lose our accounts in new Tanki than what is the point? You are noobs.. total noobs..

I should not have wasted time on you though. Old Tanki was good enough.

Hi :)  I no like your story  <_<

It doesn't mention the part where a few in the population thought they'd just "light the fuel" at a time well, well before the balloons were inflated for the opening ceremony of the new bridge, which was still under construction, not even polishing, just plain still under construction.  And those few insignificant islanders always wanting to light fires for their own pyromaniacal sadistic joys took opportunity during the early construction days, at a time when the building company was vulnerable to those kind of fires, for they were focussing so hard on building the damn bridge, they did not see that one of their entrusted mates was going to use the 0.0001% of knowledge he possessed back then combined with his theatrical skills and mostly using his esteemed status on the island then to start a moronic campaign where he could selfishly be under the spotlight and be glorified by the very innocent islanders he was manipulating like a real talented politician.

Your novel also doesn't include the futile attempts of some of the outraged islanders to try and cut the funding of the very bridge that was being built for them.  It also doesn't mention how 99% of the islanders who were actively involved in the disinformation and futile rebellion campaign were spitting on the current weakened bridge that served them for 6 long years, kept spitting on the then far-from-completed, still under construction bridge, kept spitting on all of the persons from the building company and kept spitting on all of the supporters of the building company, even though the latter part consisted entirely of islanders just like them who were trying to show them how they were wrong in their assumptions and how they were being manipulated by certain malevolent individuals, but how, through no fault of their own, the cooler islanders could not convince their flamed up friends for their eyes were set to see red on no matter what was anyone would do or say, not realising that their acts during their anger moments were undermining their very own future and that of all other islanders alike.

Here is a myth: Some staff members don't show their real face on Forum. Somewhere else, like on Skype, they insult us. (We insult them back, of course)

Yep, this myth is confirmed.

To which admin should I report a staff member that insulted me for no reason, and started a fight with me? (On Skype)

I know mate! Lol, I was asking if there is a special admin for these kind of "bad" staff members. :P

No "special admin", but specific Admin in charge of the group that Staff member is part of, and other ones too if needed.

But the bridge was suffering from corrosion long before any "fuel was lit" and you have to admit, the maintenance company was crazy-daft for letting all that combustible material mount up in one place! Many loyal islanders worked hard on ways they could clean up that material before it caught fire. They submitted their concerns only for them to fall in the main on deaf ears while some cases were met with ridicule and derisory replies. Unsurprisingly, this left some on the Islands with a sour taste in their mouths and some were left believing it was an inside job all along. But they're just mad conspiracy theorists right?

But while a lot of islanders are leaving their vehicles for the ferry, the bridge company are not doing an awful lot to clean up their act. They could very easily win their customers back by allaying fears or making certain promises but they're unable or unwilling to do so. By doing nothing they themselves are fanning the flames which they are ultimately responsible for.

I just hope the islanders get what they deserve. Look after them and the new bridge will be big success. Don't and the ferry companies can expect more business.

ohh mann, more novel, just not in the mood.  Tuesday I'm off, may be I'm in mood then for more novelist stuff

now,  your story doesn't hold well.

no building companies whatsoever keep their fuel scattered all over the place.  They use fuel depot, but mostly the same gasoline stations everyone use to get their fuel.  Its the non-loyal pyromaniacs who brought in their fuel and spread it all around before lighting it up, which btw, is just a pathetic little camp fire

99% of these loyal islanders submit stuff like "make more sale, more people buy" , "why you make only 40 you cheap bassnerds" , "please lags bad, fix (no proposed solutions) " or even "please your building is collapsing, here's my idea to reinforce it, it involves using straws".  Am I being rude and ridiculous and you hate my blunt truthful answer?  OK, np, don't take my words for it, you all know where to find this section, go scroll through it and read the four thousand + topics in there and let me know the percentage of actual useful stuff in it :

45025bde.png

Also the reason why they're not cleaning up "their act" is because they did not make any of those "acts" your story is implying

Yeah, the CM of the building company and its helpers answered countless times that if they can't transfer the old outdated relics of the islanders and make it work with the new bridge, they will ensure these islanders are more than duly compensated with lots of goodies and stuff, but hey, no matter, what some islanders, like I said in my previous novel critiques, just wanna see red no matter what's said and done.  And its always these same few little islanders who will go and spread the fuel and light it up and make a huge mega fuss about it all.  Frankly speaking, don't take this next line as an official statement, but had it been me in charge these few little islanders would be left to swim or hitch a ride on a whale and some dolphins to get across.  But oh well, I guess its a good thing though that its not me but much much nicer people who are in charge.  Now lets equally be nice to them and give them the time they need to complete their work :)

What was the rebalanc?

The truly dark ages of tanki    All accounts were reset.  All players lost all their garage items.  They were refunded all the crystals equivalent, but all the prices of everything was was increased , taller than empire state building, and people like me who had M3 stuff could only purchase 1 or 2 M2 things and no paints to wear :(
