My take on Premium Accounts + Staff

 This update is completely outrageous, and basically is Tanki Online's official transfer to a Pay2Win game. 

1.  50% more crystals and score - absolutely no advantage - simply allows you to get to generalissimo faster , while getting crystals at the same rate relative to ranks. If anything, it's a disadvantage because premium users will have less experience than normal players and will have trouble competing.
2. Highlighted rank icon - no advantage.
3. 15% paint - only advantage at low ranks. Low ranks are not expected to buy the Premium account, while at high ranks 15% from all guns is a below-average paint.
4. XT items for sale in garage - no advantage.

Not true, what says, true or not, is a DIRECT source. Not altered unless he lied. 

I think you're not giving that little point in the end enough attention. There is no way to tell whether it's him lying or the current Tanki staff are, so if that's the case, then it's unwise to start choosing sides without any actual evidence.

He actually stated the forum mods aren't part of this corruption, it's more of russian mods, admins, etc. etc. who do things that get them paid crystals. I don't know 100%, but I don't think you get paid crystals for locking threads. :)

 

Also my ban record sucks, I haven't been banned recently but before... eh lol, they may have been stupid reasons but none the less they were bans.

No, I am talking about in-game advantage. Pretty rank icons and golden ornaments will not make you a more powerful (or overpowered) player.

 

As for the advantage that you think they give - it's completely fair. Spending real money gives you access to unique features, whereas when playing for free you cannot get them. And that's only for the rank icon. Even XTs can be obtained by any free player.

 

The paint is not OP. It's good if you don't have anything else, but if you are a buyer with a full M4 garage, in almost all battles any other top paint will be better (e.g. Clay with 50% from all three guns). I myself have an 18% paint and I often feel weak and wish I could change it to a more specific paint like Prodigy or Lumberjack. Unfortunately I don't have those paints, so I use Helper.

Lumberjack can be MUed to at 45% and 15% Vulcan, but premium can't be MUed.

 

Premium paint = jack of all trades, master of none.

and yh this premium acc is not fair for players who spent their entire TO career to get a special paint like ACID with 18% and now some noobs get 15% who doesn't even know how to play hhhhh

2. True, although it may lead more people to scream "*bleeping* BUYER!!!!1111" in chat. Of course, it can be turned off, so no biggie.

3. False, though in a number of ways. First of all, the low ranks actually have more reason than any to buy premium time. After all, no Generalissimo needs more experience. Second, this paint is extremely powerful in that a) it protects against all guns and b) it protects against mines, both attributes being not available at all in any normal paint. Although perhaps in practice, it might not be as powerful as the top paints in the game, on paper it is OP, and will lead to a lot of people blaming buyers for breaking the game (as if they don't do that enough already).

Most of this is pretty smart, and resembles what other games do. That paint, though...that paint is ridiculous. Frankly, the paint combined with the drugs really breaks the game for me. I'm crossing my fingers for Unity Tanki, but if these issues aren't addressed at all by then, well...I might be only one of many players to walk away.

It's funny how the masses are saying how horrible Premium Accounts are, and yet nobody is providing any alternate solutions that will similarly increase Tanki's income. I once heard a quote that went something like, if you haven't got a solution, don't bring up the problem.

I am great friends with a lot of mods and I don't think they would ever be dishonest or set up anything to earn crystals.

What did any mods do wrong in the first place? Yes, one wrongly thought Sami was hacking, but it's not like mods are flawless human beings...

The dumb actions of some have an affect on even the most honest ones. 

We aren't flawless, neither is the system so they can get mixed up, but that's why you can argue the case

If you stopped believing every statement against Tanki out there, then maybe you would be able to realise why that video is not allowed on the forum and why we did what we did yesterday. But unfortunately you refuse to change your mind and you continue to blindly follow whatever has been said in that video, despite the fact that Arabiannoble didn't provide any evidence or proof whatsoever to his statements.

 

There's not much we can do to help you with that.

OP I do have to congratulate you for at least making the topic without violating much rules unlike so many others :) (though i still had to remove link to some external 3rd parties) 

 

There's been a lot of stuff said in the past few days, and sadly about 10% factual and 90% rumours and speculations spreading like wildfire.  So I think its time to spend some time with you all a little.

 

I honestly haven't had the chance to go through all of this topic yet, but since the opening part refers to a certain mini-viral video here's my take on it and one of the reasons why its been removed from the forum :
