Getting rid of the self-destruct penalty?

Isn't it annoying when you lose 5 points and a kill when you self-destruct? So what I am proposing is when you kill yourself with your own weapon or when you self-destruct by pressing 'Delete', you don't lose anything. You just have one more death shown on your stats. 

 

However, if you drive your tank off the map, the 'usual' penalties will apply.

 

So what do you think? Should we apply the changes? Put constructive criticism and your opinion in your reply.

^ well it does take 10 seconds for self-destruct to actually occur.

It doesn't make sense for a kill to be taken away in DM battles. A loss added makes sense but why would a kill be taken away?

not a bad idea overall but u should lose points if you kill yourself with your turret. u can do this to troll others about to kill you and thunders basically kill themselves 24/7 in close combat and the "killer" gets no points anyways. 

 

If u press delete, u should lose no points but add a kill ONLY in CTF or CP mode. In TDM and DM, killing urself before others get to u can become an effective strategy if u don't lose one kill(I've seen troll mammoths with double armor doing this before the self destruct penalty was in-game)

SOO annoying that when you self destructed that you gain a death AND loss a kill. I get you gain a death from self destructing but why do you loss a kill, it doesn't make sense.

Before in take we received no penalty of self destruct. But too much people were doing it to avoid to be killed. So they implemented new design for maps and put the penalty. But i agree.

Please no. I would agree with this idea except that thunders selfing in my face is getting too annoying.

Now that they have decreased the time to SD to 5 seconds, the existing penalty doesn't seem overly harsh to me anymore.

 

It's bad when you're being trolled though. Or netted by the that silly anti-cheat.
