Play on this TSY, I guess I will start playing on my small account too and rank up. You can play with me if you want, easy way to rank as the flags will you quite a lot of experience. Time for you to rank.  ^_^

There's some magic that addicts you to TO, and it's forum. One does not simply leave it. It's not easy to leave TO, even if you want to. There's some black magic in it.

What you think, what's it?

In my opinion, the hard-working of TO developers is the reason. The continuous updates to the game is the reason.

I play because of the community and my personal goals in Tanki.

Believe it or not, there are far worse communities to play with. Consider the Contract wars community, the devs there do absolutely nothing for their players, save ocasional discounts. Other than that, the players are very, very, very rude on the forum.

As goes for personal goals, I like Tanki because it's objective and you grow, you can become better, unlike some games where you can stay stagnant, in Tanki there's always  some fun event or something you can buy and upgrade, this makes the game very enjoyable.

Friends.

Legit, if I'm playing in a battle with random people, I get bored really quickly, if I play with friends, it rocks. Friends are the best ^_^

I used to be a Poly CP grinder but clans and takeover teams have mostly ruined that mode.

I can grind in DM and still do well, but teaming turrets are still an occasional irritant. Isida, Hammer, and Rail are the usual suspects. They’ll kill other turrets but not their own kind. Sometimes Railguns will set up a defensive formation and double knife anyone who approaches. I can do well whether this happens or not, but again, DMs are just a crystal grind. They are seldom fun.

Fun is CTF, when teams know what they are doing. That means strong defense AND offense. Unfortunately most CTF battles are horrendously one sided, which usually means no one is on defense. Unbalanced maps are equally to blame, but since that’s not going to change, I do have some easy tips for good defense.

1 - Use mines - a team not mining their flag just doesn’t want to win.

2 - Use Titan - have at least one or two squatting very close if not on top of your flag. Titans should lay most of the defensive mines since they are harder to kill.

3 - Use Isida - have at least one or two backing up the Titans, making them nearly immortal. Don’t lay mines with Isida since enemy snipers will target them first.

4 - Use Freeze - have one very close to the flag in order to slow down anyone who gets too close or grabs the flag and tries to make an escape.

5 - Midfield with two Vikings bearing Hammer, Rico, or Fire - For defense, this combo should finish off anyone who gets past your flag defenders. These two also play offense by supporting and escorting team mate flag carriers on the way back to your base.

This leaves about half your team to focus on offense. Let them rush the flag right? Wrong.

God I hadn’t intended this to be a tome, but good CTF offense needs two types. Sure you need flag rushers wearing light or medium hulls, but you also need distractors, also called sacrifices. Those folks rush the flag but don’t take it. Instead they detonate enemy mines and distract the enemy defensive forces, while your team’s true flag bearer zooms in behind you unchallenged.

Games with these types of players are hard to find. Games with these types of players on both sides are extremely rare, but I’ve had some luck on Deck 9. But to tie this all together, these balanced CTF battles are why I still play.

god nostalgia.

I still remember.

I played tanki online everyday with my friends.  :D

I hate how time goes fast -_-

Lol same. For me the best years was about 2012-2014. Good times, Hanging out with friends, doing some nice clan stuff. It was like at that time everything seemed so perfect. Now its more like, times goes so fast...

Its true what they say, enjoy it while it lasts, because once its gone, its gone forever.
