Tanki X — Discussions

The more I see and hear abt TOX, the more I like even the current TO.

The Unity version looks so disgustingly cartoonish and cheerful ... nothing in common with the initial rectangular shapes of the tanks or the simplified, battle-like graphics ...

In this Unity maps I almost expect Little Ponies to come out of the tall grass ... it is so colorful, mild and childish )))

Devs - please, send more invite codes, so that more can see the TOX failure !

The Tanki X forum says the system requirements are Intel core I3, 4GB Ram and Intel HD 4000. Are those the minimum or recommended requirements? I have those specs so I hope I'll be able to play on at least medium settings.

Technically, those are the recommended requirements and PC's with much lower capacity should also be able to run TX on lower graphics. But, as of now, even the recommended hardware is having a hard time rendering all those graphics. They're trying to improve client stability and connection issues, but with those requirements, I can only play on Very Low graphics mode with minimal lag.

If you can play World of Tanks, Warships and Warplanes okay does that mean you'll be able to play Tanki X okay?

You should be able to play tanki x on at LEAST medium graphics with no problems. I can't even play world of tanks but I can play tanki x on very low graphics

Tanki "X" stands for tanki 10 in roman numbers. (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X) so you are inaccurate.

Tanki X does NOT stand for Tanki 10, it stands for Tanki X...

you cant see your rank progress where is it?

You can see it on your TX profile. On the main screen press the button in the top right corner, not the first one but the second one.

The game is looking better with every update, very impressive graphics but I hope that they don't go overboard with fancy graphics and make the system requirements too high for many players with average computers. They need as many players as possible for the game to be a success.

Good point.

I guess the Devs are also confident that they can do a lot of optimisation for the final release, so that the game

requirements in time might even go down.

Open Beta will probably start soon after M3's are released into the game. But with the amount on invite codes being released via emails open testing could start soon. An estimated 2.5K - 3K can already play TX. (My calculations)

Hello Guys,

Thanks for the TankiX team, I have got an invitation so I tried it.

Pros:

  1. Hull movement: excellent, compared to the TO
  2. Graphics: much better as you know very well, however the colors are too over saturated to my eyes. This make the scene like a photo with too much Photoshop effects.

Cons:

Unfortunately there are much more;

  1. Fund sharing is ridiculous. In a recently played battle I was 2nd in the winning team with around 1200 score. The 1st guy had around 4200 score. BUT he got 3200 crystals, me ONLY 200+.
  2. Game balance. There is no balance in the game. The Isida is not only over powered, but the ray can even bend 180 degree. Once I moved from the front of the enemy to its side, so our tank was side by side. It was an Isida. He had already attacked me when I moved to his side, but the ray stayed there, AND HE DID NOT HAVE TO ROTATE THE TURRET AT ALL!
  3. On screen information / camera view:
Very bad compared to the TO. The score bar at the top center of the screen disturb the aiming by covering the enemy.
Everything is way too large, but the information provided is minimal. I do not think the camera view positions are optimal in the TO, but still the view control feels much better than the TX.
On a big HD display I don't like seeing touch screen compatible buttons, controls, statusbars.
  4. UI / Garage: It seems they move towards the touch screen compatibility which makes everything slower, and more difficult.
  5. Noises. Your own tank's noise is too loud sometimes. All the noises are rather distracting and disturbing than helping in the battle.
  6. Visual effects. These at the first sight seem excellent. During the battle when you focus on playing they are too much. Especially the flames and the fire. The lot of smoke make it difficult to aim. The visual effects of the used supplies are superb, but you won't recognize them on another tank even from a little distance, so I miss the little icons.

Overall feeling:

I was amazed by the map details and the moving of the tanks. After a while though I started to feel uncomfortable in the game (when you change a car, and cannot find the right position of the seat to drive comfortably). I could hardly wait refreshing myself in TO.

If it stayed like it is now, then would visit it occasionally to admire the scenery and moving around a little, but I would always come back into the TankiOnline to PLAY THE GAME.

I know it is a beta. The opportunities are good, and I hope the developers will find at least the level of gaming experience that the TO has now. Currently they are not there.

a tester

P.S:
The recoil has just come into my mind. As if there were no any recoil, nor the hit has any similar impact as in TO. I was shot by a railgun several times without any kinetic impact. Also, I did not seen the wasp kicked back by shooting the Railgun, nor by my hitting him with my Smoky. Is that intentional, or still under balancing? Anyway, I missed this element which adds another spice to the game.

Has anyone tried Titan and Vulcan in Tanki X yet? Titan looks really good as a medium, good armor and still enough speed to get around and take cover. Hardly anyone seems to talk about Vulcan yet. It looks good in the video and they said it has excellent range, I like the sound of that.

Hi Everybody,

I came back with some new experience.

  1. The longer I play in TX the more frustrating the game.
  2. I tried higher and lower levels of the graphics. If you care your score, you better play in lower graphics quality, which is almost like the TO, but brighter with insane over saturation. On the other hand no grass movement or other details will distract you.
  3. The Railgun has weird shooting noise, it's like flicking with your fingers.
  4. I could hardly play on bigger maps like the Massacre, but had even lag on Kungur (in Medium graph. level).
  5. Sometimes half of the players use Isida. The only reason there are no more (I suppose) is the price and the availability. I would use it too. It looks like a turret that does not need recharge and aiming.
  6. The base noise of my own tank is quite annoying and tiring after some time. This is clearly not the game that some can play for hours.

Here is an example of the fund sharing which I think the most frustrating in this TX (TDM battle at a tie game):

Tanki X has amazing graphics!

Dude, you must be drunk ... if not a kid )))

TOX has quite objectionable graphics for such a game ... this is not Happy Farm here or the Little Ponies ... the overall design in TOX is simply horrible, it is absolutely and completely inadequate !

This Unity version has so much details and colors, as if it's made for 10-year children, who care mainly about the outer forms and appearance ...

unfortunately none has been preserved from the specific TO rectangular and straight shapes and the plain, aphotic atmosphere

I say again:

Devs - please, send more invite codes, so that more can see the TOX failure !

hi guys

i got my invite a couple of days ago

first impressions are very good

the graphics and sounds are the first thing that hits you and gives it a very good atmospheric feeling

i think what a lot of guys are missing here is that this is closed beta testing so obviously this is not the final finished product

what some guys are complaining about is exactly what tanki devs want to know about

ok its not perfect but my first impressions are that it will be a very good game

im sure other things will be implimented into the game at stages

i did notice that thier does not seem to be any way of ranking up yet

but overall it promises to be an excellent playing experience

All these complaints about a still unfinished game.

A quick reminder: we are testing in TX, not playing around in an already finished produkt

like Tanki Online is.

So if you don 't like testing, there 's still the original Tanki Online to enjoy.

For you there are enough other Tankers who would love to test the game.

The game is in beta stage and it 's completely normal to experience server shut downs,

bugs, lags etc.

The Devs are tweaking the game to make it better, but this will also inevitable cause malfunctions.

Though from the second day off I played a lot of good battles.

I think it 's amazing how good the game is running already.

And if things do go wrong or if I or other testers don 't like certain aspects of the game we

make a topic in the TX Forum and discuss it.

Because there aren 't that much testers who do take testing seriously

I 'm very sure the Devs do pay attention to the ones that do.

I consider it a privilege to be able to be a tiny part of the early stages of what is going to be

an awesome game.

Bpega - Why do you keep complaining about the graphics being too cartoonish and unrealistic? You're missing the whole point of Tanki X. It's supposed to have an arcade game feel, real life tanks don't have lasers, flamethrowers, shotguns, machine guns, ice guns, healing rays, plasma balls, etc. If you want a more realistic tank game, why don't you play World of Tanks or Armored Warfare? I personally find that Tanki X looks great from watching the beta videos. I just hope that they iron out all of the bugs and imbalances before the launch.

I agree with @Germanthunder. Many of my friends told refused to play Tanki because the graphics weren't as attractive. When I showed them TX graphics, though, they said they'd give it a try. Clearly, graphics matter!
