My question/topic of discussion is, after TX is released, will TO die? Will you guys totally stop TO or won't play TX at all? Or will you play both?

Here's my opinion: I've played TX and it is way too realistic with physics and cartoonish with graphics, I prefer TO over TX and I won't play TX. I hope TO doesn't die after TX.

Answers to your questions:

Tanki Finally confirm we cant move our garages over to tanki x

I understand you disappointment, but you need to realize that the money you invested, was invested in Tanki Online, and you've used it in Tanki Online accordingly. If you purchased crystals in TO, you used those crystals to buy equipment and supplies in TO, right? So it's not like your money went to waste.

I know it's hard to see it that way, but please consider the perspective I'm giving you. This is one of the reasons we're working hard to keep Tanki Online alive, and why we've got so many plans to implement new things.

Yes, Tanki Online will remain open, and we've got lots of plans for it. Some people are worried that when Flash goes away, Tanki Online will shut down. That is NOT true, and we've explained it many man times already in V-LOGs, in announcements etc. We're working on creating a downloadable client for Tanki Online. The client will have two benefits:

  1. It will keep the game alive after Flash disappears
  2. It will make the game run better (also decreasing lag), because it will be completely dedicated to Tanki Online (as opposed to your browsed, which has to juggle resources between Tanki Online and a bunch of other stuff)

First of all, your (and other buyers') money did not go down the toilet. As I've explained earlier in this post, those who spent money on crystals in Tanki Online, used those same crystals to buy equipment in the game, and to play with that equipment. This is not some crowd-funding project where you pledge money to a game, then the game isn't released on time and you don't get the money (even though there are protections against that).

I hope the point I'm trying to make is clear. If not, I'll please tell me and I'll try to explain again.

As for TX cannibalizing TO, I don't think it will happen. Of course, I can't be certain, because if I could read the future, I'd be making tons of money as a fortune teller, rather than working as a CM lol. But joking apart, I believe some players will migrate to TX, and that's inevitable, but on the flipside, TO will retain a strong and dedicated player base to whom the game appeals in a unique way that TX doesn't.

As I said, I might be wrong, but I think I'm not. After all, there are still people playing some very old games. Personally, my favorite GTA is Vice City, despite so many others having come out after it.

There are already additional staff members being recruited. Tanki X has a dedicated dev team and will soon have a dedicated support team. And of course, they have their own Community Managers too.

Again, it is NOT "Tanki Online Flash". The game is "Tanki Online", and we're developing a downloadable client to make sure Tanki Online stays alive after Flash goes away.

And no, we did not deceive players. As I've already explained many many times, back in the day, TX was intended to replace TO, so it made sense for accounts to be migrated. Eventually though, developers found that they wanted to do things differently, and that's where TO and TX started taking increasingly separate paths. It might not be evident to you right now (and I don't blame you, because you don't know enough about Tanki X at this point in time), but Tanki Online and Tanki X are not the same game. And I'm not just talking about ranks. The handling feels different, the game plays differently, and a host of other things that aren't immediately evident.

Nope. Old turrets will remain.

Yes, thank you, I'm so glad that you get it. This isn't the same as World of Warcraft and its expansions. This is like Diablo 1 and Diablo 2. Similar idea, but different. And funnily enough, even though there's Diablo 3 (is there a 4 even?), people are still playing Diablo 2 and having fun with it. Same goes for many other old games with a vibrant community.

No, sorry, I disagree. And I'd really appreciate it if you avoided making assumptions and projections, and making them sound like they're inevitable. The doom and gloom attitude doesn't help anyone.

See above. You have no data to back up that claim, so please refrain from making claims like these. We have every intention of keeping Tanki Online up and running, because people still enjoy it. That's the reason why we're working on a downloadable client, which will keep the game alive when Flash goes away, and will also improve game performance.

That's a very fair point and I'm painfully aware of it. It's one of the reasons why the TO Newspaper is writing the series of articles called "The Mid-Ranker's Handbook". The difficulty of the game at the middle ranks goes up dramatically for a number of reasons, including what you've mentioned.

If you have any advice that would help mid-rankers be more competent in their gameplay, I'd really appreciate if you could contact @GoldRock and share the info with him so it can go into the next issue (with credit, obviously)

Yes but you must understand that 90% of TO player don't use the forum and are little kids who can easily be swayed by good graphics. If many people won't be playing TO after TX officially releases, there would be no point in keeping TO up anyways and the developers would shut it down. This is the reason I made this post, I know about that because no matter what the devs say, it's the $$ where its at and if TO ain't generating enough, better to shut it down.

Yes I know that. But you made this topic at the Forum, at the place known only to 10% of the players, as you say.

TX is totally different from TO.. the graphics are too distracting. I don't particularly like it. I honestly prefer TO too, but after playing for 1.5 years its boring now, but We don't even have a proper eSports system, and I have a bad feeling the clan system will be aimed mainly at buyers.. that shall be seen... .-.

Maybe they want to get all of the money they can from TO and switch to TX?

Meh, some things are just overhyped. Like the supply kit update. The ones that had the most drugs were buyers anyway, so I don't see much difference. They can only decrease the use of supplies. But clan system is one of the most important things in keeping veterans happy... if they try to milk the money from TO through this system... :@

Yes exactly, the Clan System is the most useful update in a while.

I personally don't want to move over to TX anytime soon, or at least until they add ALL features from TO into the new game. At the moment you can't even create battles, so the new game is kinda like early-stage (2009) Tanki Online, but with much better graphics.

Well, personally, my attention is divided 50-50. I'm not gonna abandon TO but that won't stop me from checking out TX either... :p. As for whether TX will cause an exodus, there's too little data and too many variables. Anything is possible atm.

Imo. TX stinks and ive invested to much time in TO to start some new game. TX lags to much and takes forever to load. TO (while it does have some lags) runs fairly smoothly most of the time and i already have a good garage here.....

And the gameplay is totally fine

I do not know. I have invested a lot in TO, but my good friend went over to TX. My priority is still here, but may cut down playing time as I try out TX much late this year.
In otherwords, 100% to TO now, but in future, maybe 50-50,60-40, in favor of TO?

It's hard to say, to be honest.

The thing is, we can be influenced by our friends. If many of your friends crossover, wouldn't you do the same?

I feel that it's unfair to not allow transfer of accounts. The player base will split further and further. Some will go other games, some will go TX, some will quit altogether.

yeah. Gameplay here is good and (except for the few horrid times ive come across Early M3 kits *shudders*) i play very fair battles most of the time. Strong M1s with a mix of very early M2s vs somewhat weak M1s with a few Minotaurs and Atlas's and isidas. Pretty even gameplay. While what ive experienced in TX its the guys who NOLIFE completely and MU the crap out of their stuff rule the DMs and TDMs
