Tanki X — Discussions

Don't get your hopes up yet, I'm pretty sure the Unity site has mentioned Tanki X since last fall, it could still be another six months or a year before we actually get to play.

It also says "early access" on the Unity site.

Indeed better be patient. Personally I 've got no problem with that.

Better wait (a bit) longer and have a solid game when it 's released.

Does anyone know the system requirements? Someone on the forum complained that they were lagging on Tanki X even though they could play fine on Tanki Online. If they want Tanki X to succeed, they had better make sure that people who can play Tanki Online can play Tanki X smoothly. I think I heard a few months ago that the requirements were actually the same as Tanki Online and quite a bit lower than World of Tanks. I can play WOT fine so hopefully I'll be able to play Tanki X too, but it isn't a good sign if people who can play TO are having trouble with Tanki X, I hope it will by optimized when it finally starts.

@Germanthunder, your quite right in saying that TX is lagging on systems on which TO runs perfectly fine. I'm one of those people who claim that. But, it's pretty obvious given the fact that it's still in Closed Beta Testing phase. Lags, bugs, connection issues, etc are to be expected. I'm pretty sure that the Final version (in fact, even the open beta test version) will run much smoothly and will be much more optimised.

Hi, can someone explain me that : :(

Yes, that's a quite common issue with everyone. You can restart the client or just wait patiently till it eventually works. There's nothing much we can do from our side.

Facebook said they gave out more beta codes but said they'll give out more over the next few months. Is open testing ever going to start? Trying to be patient but we've been waiting since last October and they still don't seem to be getting any closer to the release, getting kind of sick of this endless waiting and teasing. They said soon after Feb 1 when they had the beta and nickname transfer so it's kind of rude to say soon when the open test is still many months away, soon means a few weeks or a month or two not six months or a year or more.

Trust me, I won a code in the FB contest yesterday. You would not want open testing right now. The game crashes enough as it is, then alone with 40K people on. Most would find they could hardly play anyway, the game is really heavy in texture ATM, meaning I have to play on Low graphics when I should be able to play on High.

The game is better than is was 3 months ago, but unlike TO they want to sort out these minor issues before the release of TX.

I'd say about 3months till open testing, right now most bug fixes are for stabling the server and adding new feature TO already has.

I think it's a poor choice of name because in English "X" also stands for "ex" which means something you don't engage in or partake in any longer.

Tanki "X" stands for tanki 10 in roman numbers. (I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X) so you are inaccurate.

Tanki X has really started lending out invites: https://www.facebook.com/PlayTankiX/

quote: "Great news tankers!

We've just rolled out another Update. This one is mainly focused on increasing the stability of our game client.

We've also handed out another batch of 900 TX beta keys, for the third day in a row! Make sure to check your emails.

As promised, the closer we get to the release, the more people will get to experience our game.

Good day and enjoy the game!"

I thought it was the SNES reboot of the classic MegaTank series, featuring a new protagonist.

The Tanki X forum says the system requirements are Intel core I3, 4GB Ram and Intel HD 4000. Are those the minimum or recommended requirements? I have those specs so I hope I'll be able to play on at least medium settings.

Those are the recommended ones...I hear people with quite low end PC being able to play the game smoothly (perhaps in lowest graphics)...
