CONFESSIONS OF A "USER"

Recommended Posts

If I see that green wrench start to glow above the person I am attacking (and there was no supply box that was picked up), then he is telling me to press '3' while I continue firing.

Why can't everyone use this level of common sense?! Two upvotes for you, P-Shooter.

Oh my gosh, man, so true about balloons! They float through all my very best dreams.

Probably what a Premium User feels like entering the battlefield.

After skimming lazily through all that, I find that this is the biggest problem with your logic. You are grossly misrepresenting the number of supply-abusers. The truth is that nearly everytanki uses them, but very few become the monstrosities you describe. If it will take supply abuse to make you rage quit, then you won't rage quit.

Oh, wait, so "To destroy and win is the only motive in this game" is selfish and morally wrong? Wow... and all this time I thought this was a video game.

From now on, I vow that my motive shall be "To be destroyed and lose."

I hope I live up to your standards.

So you are suggesting that I have been just plain unlucky of late? No, I do not think so as it too common to be merely coincidence, and just how you can argue that point is beyond me unless you have been in the same battles, which you have not. The extent that a good number of players are going to, to survive a flag run is almost bewildering at times with a single Isida capable of evading up to five defending tanks, using no less than all 5 supply types that are available (maybe 2 are pick ups), and doing this every time it attacks the base. In a battle where everyone is "using", then yes it would be more balanced but this is not and has not been the case in many (if not most) battles I have taken part in and witnessed in the last two weeks. Maybe this is in part to M2 tanks playing against M1 tanks, M1 against M0's etc, and the higher ranks obliterate the junior ranks far too easily, but the supplies make it near impossible to destroy some of these players.

DM's, in most cases, are dominated by "Abusers" from what I have seen although as an individual against other individuals I can often cope with this as it is not typically 3, 4 or 5 on to 1. However, there are weaker players than me that simply cannot cope.

I can't comment on TDM as it is not a battle I choose to play.

CP on smaller maps is dominated by abusers - whoever uses the most - wins.

CTF is the same as CP on smaller maps, and to a lesser extent on larger maps.

Don't get me wrong, I have been on the "other team" at times and I am honestly finding it boring as those "using" are driving the opposition players away from that battle. There have thankfully been a few CTF battles that have been close affairs and more enjoyable but these are becoming less frequent in my experience.

Ya man drugging is fun and something that most people don't get is that just because you drug dose not mean your a noob like really a pro drugger should be feared and respected now obviously when you come across some guy using every thing and your using nothing it sucks but.. Get Over It. When your the top rank i have discovered that you can make enough cry while using drugges to buy the 1500 drug kit agin a little before you run out, and thats when you drug like a maniac in every battle now thats pretty fun. However i have also noticed continual use of drugges can lower your battle tactics and skill level so i sgest to the continual drugger that he play Pro battles with no drugges every now and agin.

I love that but i think by the time you get to the top rank since there is so many PA guys that its the other way around.

Hi.  I've been playing Tanki about six, seven weeks now.  And I've developed... well... a habit.

I'm a "user."  You know.  Power-ups, Extra armor.  Repair kit.

Supplies.

If you want to use that other word... that word of disdain, dislike... go right ahead.  Spit that little epithet out as many times as you like.  I'm going to avoid it.

I've bought things in this game.  I've used real $$$$.  PayPal.  And I want to be clear... really clear... about something.

I'm.  Not.  Sorry.

We can talk about, oh, the economics of game development, growth, maintenance.  We can talk about why I have a Paypal account, and you don't.  Maybe because, well, your parents don't want you to have that just yet.  Tough noogies.  I wanted a new Camaro for my 18th birthday--I got a used Pontiac.  Way of the world.

How much $$$$ have I spent on this game?  As much as I think is reasonable for me and my budget.  It's probably a little more, or a little less, than you've spent on beer... cigarettes... movie tickets... iTunes... your Xbox or Playstation games.

Fact is, I used to play this other tank game on my phone called "Iron Force."  It sucked.  I mean, really sucked.  Imagine you and a few other tankers, corporals and sergeants, go into a battle and there are two or three 5-star generals driving M4 XT rigs.  And you're just ducks on the pond.  That's "Iron Force."  Oh, and your turret is fixed... you can't move it.

So, one of the reasons I have given some $$$ to the Tanki folks, bought some of their product, is because (radical notion, kids, hang on)... I like what they do.  Same reason you order Pizza Hut instead of Domino's (or vice versa).

Some of you, I've had on my friends list.  If you get me into a team game, I'll bust my hump for your and the team.  I'll hold the points, I'll block your back when you're carrying the flag, and carry the flag the rest of the way if you're taken out.  And I'll occasionally use my supplies to do these things.

If it's a DM game... you're hamburger.  Toast.  Every chance I get.  And I'll occasionally use my supplies to do these things.

So... if you're reading this, and you've bought things, too.  If you use supplies when you play.  If you're getting tired of the whiney comments, the sneers, all that stuff.... go ahead and post.  Sound off!

Purchasing and using supplies, upgrades etc. in this game is not illegal.  It's not against the rules.  It's not a crime.

If you ask me questions, I'll answer them.  If you give me grief in the middle of a battle, I'll give it right back.

Deal?   :)

Deal! :)  :D

Anyone can buy tons of supplies without effort.

Last 3 months i played i earned something close to 800.000 crystals. Just daily routine and daily missions, no no-lifing and such. i was able to purchase 2 m3 guns, 1 m3 hull, paints save up for a ton of microupgrades and some passes.

In this game, you can earn with some effort more than 10.000 crystals daily. You can get 100.000-150.000 crystals  (the cost of a 1500 supply pack) in less than 2-3 weeks.

If you follow a correct and enjoyable gameplay style, those supplies can last for months, if not more.

I mean... That was me the first days of august and some days ago. I played like COSTANTLY USING SUPPLIES and i was not able to use even HALF of them in 3 months of playing...

TL;DR

If you whine about not being able to afford supplies, you are unable to mantain a stable economy\gameplay style regarding your account.

I wont say 10,000 crystals daly cause every one doesnt have enough time to waste on TO i and many other guys out there have responsibilities

burdon of studies examinations jobs buisness households and other things i am a teenager and sparing 3 hours on video game (tanki) is a tough job although not 10,000 but 6000-7000 for a good player at the rank of to is no big deal if u have  more time u can i do make up 20k on weakends. drugs are important and not being a buyer and maintaining drugs is hard but we can manage if ! we dont drug like ....

we dont use  very very very much drugs but in a controlled way then tanki becomes awesome :)

As a non-buyer, I perfectly understand your importance in the game industry. I mean, you are technically paying for the game so that we, non-buyers may enjoy without any cost. Thank you for that!

I am alright with Premium Accounts, I am OK with occasional druggers, but then this happened: I was in a Rio CTF, and a player literally spams DD or repair kit as soon as it is available for usage.

I understand that the devs provide the buyers with an advantage to promote purchase of crystals (profitable), but this made the match unplayable for the rest of us. We can use supplies at anytime, but it is impossible for us to keep up with them… Is this what they mean when they say "Survival of the Fittest"?

Isn't there an alternative to directly selling power? (Though that would mean placing things behind a paywall, but the devs are doing that already…)

Let's keep all talk about supplies in one place please. This topic has been abandoned for a while so I think it's safe to assume that the discussion is over, so if you want to continue commenting about this subject, please do so in the following thread: Let's Discuss Supplies

Alternatively, the idea of reducing power of supplies can be discussed here.
