Firebirds

Recommended Posts

I had an idea, we should make it so after a firebird dies, it doesnt do self damage, here' why

Lets say a fire attacks yu from afterburn#! second, there is an aftr burn on you for 12 seconds, and then when at afterburn#2, it burns for anoter 12 seconds, so you are taking after burn for 10 seconds+, adn it's overlapping so it will be a lot more damage, this is what maks fire so op, pls don't suggest geting paints, they help but not much.

The afterburn is not overlapped...

Let's say, for example, I heat you...and I die...then after I respawn and re-heat you, the old after burn does not deal any damage to you, coz now there is a new fire, under which you're being burned...

Its similar to the thing that say you're in a 1vs 2 fire...one fire comes and heats you full, and runs away...another fire comes and starts to heat you again...

Remember the situation, lolkiller?

I remmember for one yes, but when you shoot me at second 1, I have afterburn for 12 seconds, then when you shoot me at second 2, I have an overlap between seconds 1 and 2, which means I take double the damage, and then by 5-8 seconds, we're talking 5 or 6 afterburn damages (for 12 seconds each) overlapping which means 5 x the damage a firebird does

No man, you don't...

Lets say (values are imaginary) a M2 fire afterburn can deal you maximum 5 damage/second, so even if I come you and heat you 10 times, the net afterburn dealt NEVER increases above 5..even if 10 M2 fire shoot you together, your afterburn would NOT get to 50d/s...it just stays within its limit....

The only thing that's helpful for afterburn, is that it does not need to heat you from scratch...

And why are we discussing all this?

In MAX cases, a hull is killed in 1-2 tries...and thus the afterburn does not matter much...^_^

A gold, and B, the fact that yes it does, becuase damage is overlapping

No, the damage doesn't overlap.

When a Firebird attacks you, it increases your tank's temperature value. When the temperature goes up, you take afterburn damage. The higher the temperature, the higher the damage. If you kill a Firebird and are still burning when he/she comes back to burn you again (which means that your temperature is above normal), your temperature value will be raised again, but it will hit the maximum temperature more quickly, which means that the burning will kill you faster than it would if you weren't on fire.

The game doesn't keep track of how many times you set an enemy on fire (this would be a hard to program too). Heating increases a single variable, damage directly varies with this variable, and the variable goes down with time. Nothing else.

Afterburn is an integral part of Firebird. A lot of kills that I get using Firebird happen after I die, and it's not really overpowered since Firebird has many weaknesses to counteract it. If you want to survive, you can drug, pick up supplies, wear a paint (Loam protects you quite a bit), or stay near a friendly Isida or Freeze. Or, just stay the heck away from Firebirds and pick them off from a distance. If they get within shooting range, you need to deal with the consequences.

They do help, maybe not for you simply because your garage is noob or you just don't have enough crystals for a good fire paint at your rank :p. If paints didn't help then why would they be in the game?
