With the update, each tanker will have his own profile page, displaying various statistics:

  • current rank
  • amount of XP till the next rank
  • number of enemies destroyed
  • number of deaths
  • total death/kill ratio
  • currently equipped gear
  • current positions in weekly ratings

And not the number of golds? Maybe because it will start for octobre 23 :/

Anyway, finally, a nice update :D

There are mainly two reasons I can imagine why someone would like to "keep a low profile" in this game.

One, they expect a very low D/L ratio, or other aspects of the game, meaning they feel they are noob or of poor performance...

Two, they don't want others to know how many supplies they have spend or how big a buyer they are, meaning they feel they are less than what meets the eye.

I have mixed feelings about those cases.

On the one hand I do accept that players have the right to keep themselves out of range of potential bullies who might use poor stats for making them feel bad about themselves.

On the other hand though, I do wish to strip druggers from the fake glory of their enhanced performance. And profiles that include supplies used so far (in regard to total playing hours or D/L ratio) would expose the real skill of those players.

Both sides are strong within me. Thanks God I don't have to decide that option.

There was a time when rating system was a private thing  and not a public thing. And yes game is full of agressors and haters, low D/L = NOOB, Druggers for some = NOOB too.. so no matter what most of the comunity will hate you. But me personally I would not like to show you anything from stats or anything, just as I would not show you my pockets, wallet, room. Some things just MUST BE PRIVATE. Im a youtuber BTW so yeah you get the idea.

This has been needed for a long, long time so, I'm (hopefully) going to be very happy with it. Nevertheless I am unable to press the like button on principle, as you are no longer giving me the option to downvote which is surely the worst thing you have ever done to the forum.

I hope the number of deaths, D/L ratio and so on excludes parkour mode! Even the amount of hours you play, because otherwise a clan leader might look at stats and think that you've got low XP for the number of hours played.

Tanki is only a game.

D/L ratios really don't mean much.  Some players have done lots of power-leveling that will raise their D/L ratios.  Some were killed by power-levelers which will lower their D/L ratio.  The D/L ratio a player has isn't worth a grain of salt.  D/L ratios only matter in team deathmatches, nothing else.

Players will see if someone drugs a lot in battles.  Again, not a big deal.  Some players play almost exclusively in battles where drugs cannot be used therefore they will have very little drug use.  Some players play almost exclusively in battles that allow drug use and their drug numbers will be higher.  Either way, it isn't a big deal.

Players will see what hulls and turrets you use.  Who cares.  Not a big deal.

There is no need to let players opt out of it.

I think is a great update and I look forward too it even though I'm not one of the top players.  :)

With ratings now, there will be more and more Arena 2 players Private DM when one player kill the other, a friend with a low ranked account, to make him have a better D/L.

This is one of many reasons why D/L ratios don't really mean much.

NO. It is not correct. No matter how good or bad a tanker is doing, he/she should have a choice to show or hide the profile. You won't show what is in your wallet to people while you are walking on the street, no matter how poor or rich you are. Don't consider only noobs don't like this idea. Players should have their choices.
