I can see that the vast majority of players are happy with this new feature and it probably suits very nicely the mindset of most people who play MMOs. The layout of the profile pages is good and I like the fun way that the medals have been labeled - BUT...I have a few queries:

 

• What is the purpose of letting anyone see your garage without your consent? I don't see why you can't have your Profile set to 'Private' or 'Friends Only' if you so choose. If you want to show it off that's fine, but those that would like some Privacy have a point. If this was poker, would you like everyone to see your hand (the contents of your garage) before the game starts?

 

• Sure this is only a game, but I can see this info being used by certain players to try to put others down - whether in chat, on the battlefield or even on the forum.  I hope you make it clear that this kind of abuse will not be tolerated.

 

• And lastly, isn't this going to give players with lots of choices of equipment a big advantage in the game? They can look up a players profile whilst in battle (or before they even join), check out what equipment they've got, then go into battle with say, a weapon that they know you don't have any paint protection for.

 

I think displaying the actual contents of one's garage (turrets/hulls/paints) part of the Profile should be optional - thinking from a strategic point of view. Or maybe you should explain the reasons why you don't want to give players the option?

Experience earned. For every kill, every flag cap, point cap etc you get experience. Thats what you see while you playing on top of your screen :)

Always been a fan of rating, but ever since it got removed I stoped working for it (XP battles really lower your D/L) so now I have bad rating. Though I love it because now I can finally monitor my D/L, which I wished for a long time.

Today we have new features, yes I like this feature because we can see the statistics of our game, but I'm a little disappointed because this feature is very open, I mean in the new features we can see anyone's profile, and where privacy for player???

And although you speak like you are kidding, here starts the process of judging people incorrectly, making assumptions about them based on their ratings and garages, and then using it against them for having a different opinion to yours.

 

My points about privacy are based on two angles:

 

1 - The strategic issues of other people knowing what equipment choices you have before joining (and during) a battle.

 

2 - The potential for bullying/judging/putting people down because of their profiles.

 

I see no reason not to at least have the option to keep the contents of your garage 'Private' or 'Friends Only' if you so choose.
