Bring back Privacy !    (% instead of hours)

-> Please rate the time played with different turrets/hulls/Paints in %, and not in hours.

additionally:

- it would be nice if the kilIs, deaths, k/d ratio are displayed as total _and_ as weekly amount.. so you can see how a tanker performs now, despite of his past.

These are some very good ideas. Unfortunately while we had a very nice discussion on this update, the developers and the staff in general decided to completely ignore us, so I really doubt they won't do the same with your suggestion. Sad, but that's the reality. The staff doesn't care what we think, they do what ever they like.

New stats:

Generally very good - but a few things of concern:

Revealing how many hours someone has played Tanki each week is really private information and could get some people in trouble and get banned from playing Tank!

If someone spends 119 hours per week on Tanki - that's crazy and will make your eyes go square - this should not be encouraged by the scoring system.

The solution (as others have said) is to measure (and show publicly) e.g. how many Crystals earned per hour - this is a much better measure of someone's performance.

Add to this number of Gold Boxes per hour.

and XP gained per hour.

These 'per hour' ratings would replace the existing Top 100 score listings.

'Per hour' ratings effectively hide the total amount of hours being played.  Or maybe Tanki is keen to help players 'face the facts' about being far too addicted to Tanki?

Note, to help identify the most skilled players we need to identify the highest scores achieved per hour without the use of garage drugs (maybe max 10 of each supply per week) - please could Tanki provide a measure for this (i.e. any fool can kill loads of tanks while using DD which distorts the stats.)

Anyone with a job or anyone who constantly works hard at school or at least someone who has something do it would be viably impossible for such a person to play for 119 hours a week, the max a week i would expect is 10-20 hours, but that's still too much, that's a really bad addiction, most of those 'highly skilled players' probably don't have lives other than gaming, which is sad although no one wants to admit it, the cash they spend on the game i guarantee weren't from their own pockets; although some gamers do have a career in gaming in exception. It is hard to imagine that their carers would allow themselves to fuel their gaming habits, it just pisses me off

I come to play a game, hoping to relax and enjoy, getting away from problems about work, taxation, due dates, traffic, arrogant people, garbage on the streets, ignorance, terrible music and so on. And what do I find? That they are publishing my stats and some data that can indirectly lead on how I spend my time without even asking my consent. Furthermore, they hide themselves, using their "authority" to do it. It really looks like a caste.

I'm not in the position of saying it's surely legal or illegal, but I don't accept it and, with me, many other players who can see beyond the end of their noses, not stopping on the first moments of excitement about changes. Many of us consider it a violation, there's a reason why.

And I come to play a game and read a forum, hoping to relax and enjoy, getting away from ignorant people who do not read what they agree to and those who constantly criticize every new feature. They do not need to have your consent - you agreed so in the EULA.

The Company shall have the right to display and publish any information relating to User activity on the Internet Site and/or the Game in any list without any notice or compensation to User whatsoever.

It is perfectly legal, if you consider it a violation and therefore do not accept the EULA then you are "obliged to leave the site immediately."

Just because they are not responding does not mean that they are not discussing it. Like I said before, it is quite likely that they will remove the time counter, but this will be done at their discretion because everyone agreed to have their game activity published without notice.

Frankly tanki ratings are bogus :P  When most of the time I join a lesser team and play against superior forces

often vastly out numbered as do others.

People like that deserve a silver star! not a lower rating.

  but  thats tanki

I wouldn't call hackers and/or saboteurs superior forces, but I guess that's what they are because that's how they succeed.

But yes, there are times superior forces do win fairly, with or without drugs.

Unfortunately the hacking and especially the sabotaging is increasing in ridiculousness.

I hope Tanki X (the new update) significantly rectifies this.

In general, yes.

There are exceptions, like the fact that I had a whole week off work.

There are other people who have retired (much older than me, usually, unless they retire early, lol)) and so have free time, and there are others who live off inheritance money without trying to bring in extra income so they have a lot of free time, etc. ;)

I couldn't agree more with your post and the post you are quoting.

The statistics should reflect someone's ability in the game. The total amount of time spent in this game is a completely unnecessary fact. It does not prove or imply anything positive about a player. One could say that it shows whether someone is active or not. Well it would, if it reflected the amount of time spent the previous week for instance. Now it's just the accumulative sum of all the hours spent in the game. So it's utterly useless. And as many have already explained, it can cause a lot of negative effects to someone playing this game.

The developers can't be this ignorant on the subject to be honest. They have this entire team of managers, people doing marketing, and  they all agreed that the hours spent would be beneficial for the game? What the heck????

Look at the drugs used on that account. 2,000 DPs, 1.5k repairs, 1.5k mines in a little more than a week. What do you expect?

I have a question regarding EARNED EXPERIENCE RATING

What does the # 687 515 represent?

The (10) in brackets represents gained experience (1 kill) not including any score multiplier points

3DSaDNJ.jpg?1

In the old version of Tanki, the experience rating represented your position in relation to all other players.

Using the same premise, it would lead me to believe that 687,515 players have gained more experience within the same time period.

Saw this post and looked at the amount of hours some of the top 100 have played since 23rd October(when those stats started)....which is about 11 days..

Not naming names but 1 guy has 183 hours play since then, that's over 7 and half full days play in 11 days....OMG... :o ....

Also, the top 100 ranking is directly related to amount of hours play...sensible???? Seems like a ranking chart for no-lifers or account sharers to me.

Average Xp/crystal gain per hour chart instead please Tanki...

They probably have premium stacked as well.. so total is 100% SMP.

But at least 70% on that 100 list are russians.

Cheaper crystals = Better equipment for no-lifers.

why don't you want to publish their names?

Tanki online wants us to look at their stats and feel sorry for them

http://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/ZOLOTOLOB10/

111 hours since 23/10, which is 12 days. That's 9.25 hours of playing battles per day.

http://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/Kriks_Gladiator_1964/

148 hours, that's 12.3 hours a day!!

brought to you by tanki stats
